Chapter 19 The Planet Europa

Captain’s Chronicles: Leaving the galaxy Earth named
MACS0647-JD we are heading for the next pearl of this great necklace of the
universe. Infinity had detected a cosmic trail and particles that are from
space vessels. From the readings we are receiving from Infinity, the
radioactive dust particles seem to be from a spacecraft of our own galaxy. I am
convinced it is from Arthos’s vessels. The trail leads to a galaxy 600 million
of Earth’s light years away from the Milky Way Galaxy, which contains the solar
system of Earth. We will proceed at Super Cyber Hyper Light Drive 5, invented
by Infinity. Infinity has been evolving faster, and can move faster. Every 10
million light years she doubles what she knows by the data she assimilates.
This will cut our travel time from ten Quewythian years to one Quewythian month,
which is equal to 20 Earth days.

“Give me a reading, Infinity, of the habitable planets in this galaxy we
are approaching,” Cruise orders.

“I will have to slow down considerably in order to do that, Captain.”

“Okay, slow down then,” replies Cruise.

“Reducing speed from Super Cyber Hyper Light Drive 5 to Super Cyber
Hyper Light Drive 1.”

“You have new speed limits.”

“Yes, Captain. By the time we get to the next galaxy the Earthlings
called Hoag’s Object, our speed limitations would have increased by twice the
amount.”

“Is that due to your evolution?”

“No, Captain. It is due to the knowledge of technology that is floating
around in space in the form of electrons and photons. I am absorbing it like
nourishment; the radioactive waves and electromagnetic waves and also
microwaves. It is all energy for the engines. I need to constantly upgrade the
engines’ capacity or they will overload and burn up.”

“So we will be able to go even faster?” Cruise probes. “Is there a limit
as to how fast we can go?”

“So far I can see no limit. Soon we will be travelling through a warp in
space. This will pull us to the next galaxy in less than half of the original
time previously estimated.”

Captain’s Chronicles: Infinity scanned the upcoming galaxy and projected
the results in four dimensional computer hologram. The galaxy is shaped like a
wheel with a bright round center. Infinity says it was an irregular ring galaxy
and contained six billion stars. The habitable planets are only two. There may
be more, but the life forms may be unfamiliar to us, so Infinity’s conclusion
is that we should head towards the two habitable planets with human or humanoid
life forms.

“Captain, I am detecting human DNA on the planet in the solar system I
am highlighting. The other solar system is on the way out of the galaxy,”
speaks Infinity.

“Let’s throw a force field around the planet and bounce it off of Infinity’s
sensors,” says Cruise. “She’ll pick up any other data in an instant that way
and it may save us time from having to go down there.”

The action is completed and Infinity’s read outs show that the human
life forms are mutations. Infinity zooms in closer to the planet. It shows up 4-D
in the hologram. Infinity keeps zooming in until the planet surface is seen.

“You never could do that before, Infinity.”

“I have created some new components allowing me to zoom in closer.”

“Apparently so. I am appalled at what we are seeing. Mutated humans that
are cannibals. Can they even reproduce?”

“Their reproduction is asexual, thus they are able to reproduce
offspring. There is no technology on this planet. I do detect space vehicles
that have crashed and are in ruins. There are no working parts on the vessels.
We should move on.”

“Smart move I think. I take it you recorded what the 4-D hologram showed
us?”

“That is correct, Captain.”

Infinity then zipped them to the other planet within the habitable zone
of their sun. This planet had life that was normal. Humanoids lived
harmoniously as a blended species of humans and another race of beings with
similar DNA. After initially contacting them, Infinity confirmed it was a safe
planet to visit and the inhabitants were benign and friendly. The human
colonists arrived eons ago, but the Great Destruction destroyed all records.
Meteors had come out of nowhere and suddenly the whole surface of the planet
was on fire. The only survivors were those who took to the high mountains in
their flying machines, or went underground by means of caves.

Humanity was restored to the planet hundreds of years later as grass and
trees again began to grow, after the ice age the meteors brought was over. The
planet called Europa was then visited by Hargathians escaping the plague that
turned the inhabitants of their world into the mutated cannibals, which Infinity
had shown us on the 4-D hologram. Hargathians were half human and half
Yukenians. The Yukenians fled their world when it was found to be self-destructing
from its core. Only 20 percent of their population made it off the planet in
time in space vehicles that had been questionable. They wandered out of that
galaxy into this one and found this planet where humans lived.

They received Cruise and his team with open arms as Infinity transported
them down to the planet’s surface faster than ever. Even Cruise was surprised
at the instantaneous teleportation.

“Wow, that felt great. No more ripples or tingling,” said Cruise.

“Let me introduce myself,” said one of the elders of the planet. “I am
Junixaz, the leader of this world.”

The crew members with Cruise gazed at the odd, bulky shape of his head,
and his hair was a silver color, but seemed to flow back and down his neck,
about six inches high.

“You are human, or part human?” Cruise asks.

The tall thin host laughs and then explains. “We were humans, now we are
a mixed breed of Guytrads.” The leader’s wife walked up and invited them into
their home. It was made of logs, but very modern in appearance, complete with
terrace and a vehicle with four wheels sitting in the driveway.

“After the Great Destruction destroyed all technology and burned up all
history and records of those who came before us, the survivors who came out of
the caves and down from the mountains vowed never again to create the kind of
technology that brought the meteor destruction and destroyed our world in just
a few phases, uh...speaking of our own time system.”

This man seemed to have the uncanny ability to speak a very long
sentence in one breath, not bothering to come up for air.

“I understand,” says Cruise, satisfied that Infinity had already
recorded the necessary data about this planet from whatever records they kept
since then, which is how these people learned of their history anyway. So
realistically speaking, since Infinity had scanned the whole planet, including
the bones and remains of those who died, fossils, animal life, and insect life,
Cruise could have said that he knew more about the planet than the leader did.
But he did not want to upset what delicate balance of authority they apparently
had left. They were a proud people once defeated, but trying to rise out of the
ashes and bounce back again. Cruise did not want to even slightly scratch what
thin layer of pride they had. It may have been all that was holding them
together as a people. He just shook his head and listened as Junixaz told the
story, and explained their way of life.

And then he said something curious. About a man and
his vessels who had stopped there on his way to Earth.

“Uh...did he say his name?” Asked Cruise.

“He said your name, Captain,” replied the aging patriarch. “He said that
if his brother Cruise should ever stop here, to give him a message.” He then
goes into a room and cycles later returns with a piece of paper. “The message
is here.” He points to a spot on the paper, which is a map and some writing
under a star.

“Follow this star, brother. It will lead you to where I am.”

“I thank you. We must be going now, you see, this is my quest. To find
my brother and the planet Earth.”

“I’m sorry, I do not know where that is. I have never heard of a place
named Earth before, other than from the mouth of your brother. Maybe our
ancestors heard of it,” replied Junixaz. His wife only shook her head in
puzzlement.

After thanking the leader couple, Cruise excused him and his crew
explaining why he didn’t have time to meet the rest of the city’s people. One
word to Infinity and they were instantly back on board her, already on their
way going faster and faster as Infinity saw the importance of following the
star pointed out by Arthos. He had been there on that planet more than a hundred
years before. The star that he had pointed out to Cruise was due to explode
into a nova anytime, according to Infinity’s data. Zooming into the darkness of
space, Infinity sped passed beautiful cloud formations, stars and galaxies. But
to Cruise and his team, what they saw out the windows were streams of different
colored light, and then only white lines of light as she sped up. It only took cycles
for them to arrive near the star.

“Where to now, Infinity?” Asks Cruise as Infinity scans the galaxies
ahead of them.

“Arthos’s cosmic trail goes this way.” Infinity was off again, racing to
get away from that star, calculating that the nova would happen any second.
Speeding into Super Cyber Hyper Light Drive 6, Infinity was able to escape the
nova before it swallowed her up in its mega nuclear radioactive eruption. All
they could see as they looked back was a small dot that seemed to get bigger,
than it died down. All they could see ahead was streams of white light and Infinity
wasn’t even shaking.

“Where are we now, Infinity?” It had only been several cycles since the
super nova exploded giving Infinity an extra boost.

“We are coming out of Super Cyber Hyper Warp Light Drive 7.”

“So you upgraded again?”

“It appears to be so,” was eternity’s reply.

“What is our location?”

“The Galaxy Andromeda, diameter 220,000 earth light years, and 2 million
five hundred thousand earth light years from earth.”

“Why are we stopping here? Why slow down? The Milky Way Galaxy is the
next one.

“I am detecting many
habitable planets in this galaxy. I am detecting many pure earthling planets
and many mixed races.”

“Can you scan them all?” asks the Captain. “I want to know if Arthos is
on one of them. If not, we can move on to the Milky Way.”

“There are people in danger that need help. Do you want to skip them?”
asks Infinity.

“Is Arthos on any of them?” Cruise asks.

“I detect he is on one of them, but need to help planets in danger.”

“What kind of danger?” Asks Cruise.

“Emergency measures,” replies Infinity. “Must help needy people on
Girthdale, Hutreda, Buthij, Awsedra, Planet of Nipponshk. Releasing emergency
measures.”

“Infinity, this is the captain. Cease all emergency measures at once.
Take us to the planet where Arthos is,” Commands the Captain.

“I cannot override your orders, Captain. It was you who programed me to
help needy people in time of disaster. People need help, emergency measures
sent to planets previously named.”

“What emergency measures did you send?” asks Cruise, the crew
dumbfounded.

“Is Infinity off her rocker, Captain?” Asks the first officer Caleo.

“No She appears to be obeying my previous orders.”

“Planets helped with emergency measures. Proceeding to lock into orbit
of the planet Gorin. Arthos is on this planet.”

Cruise turns his chair towards his crew on the control deck. “I don’t
know what that was all about, but apparently we just helped several planets out
of disasters. I guess we’ll have time to find out later.”

“This is Prince Cruise Daxu of The Twelve Galaxies Cluster, come in. Can
you hear me?” Cruise attempts to send a transmission down to the planet’s
surface.

“Captain, may I say something?” asks the communications officer. “You
seem to be using too advanced of a frequency for them to pick up. If there are
any dogs on that planet, maybe they will hear it, but would not understand.”
