“She played both of us. I fell right into her trap. I should know you better than that, and I understand if you never want to have anything to do with me. I just…I wanted you to know how I felt.”

He took a step closer and pressed his lips against mine, sending my heart into a frenzy as he kissed me deeply. When he pulled away, his eyes were shining. “That’s my final answer, Ashton. If you leave me, you’re going to have a heck of a time trying to get rid of me.”

My mouth fell open. “So, we’re not over?”

“Not unless you want us to be.”

I couldn’t believe that, after everything, he still wanted to be with me. The fact that he still wanted me was astonishing. “Are you…sure?”

Luca ran his thumb over my bottom lip. “Ashton, we’ve both made mistakes, but what matters is that we forgive each other. If I could make it up to you a million times over, I would. If I could change what you saw last night, I would. But I can’t do that, Ashton. All I can do is tell you how much I love you and how scared I am to lose you. I can’t do this alone. I need you.”

Breathless, I let him pull me against his chest. I glanced at him from beneath my lashes, trying to digest everything he’d said. “I need you too. You are the only one who keeps me sane, and who puts me in my place when I’m being a stuck up brat. I’m so sorry I ever doubted you…”

He shook his head and placed a finger on my lips to silence me. I stopped speaking, stopped thinking, and just let it be. I lost myself in the depths of Luca’s chartreuse green eyes as he stared down at me.

“I don’t care, Ashton. All I care is that you’re here right now. With me.”

Writing
Impossible
was like therapy for me. Ashton and Luca were with me for five amazing weeks and I forgot all my problems because I was too busy resolving theirs. I’m going to miss writing about them!

My biggest cheerleader and supporter is my husband, Glenn. He coaxed me, bribed me and pushed me to get

done. Without him, I’d still be lagging
behind, trying to get through revisions. W

There are a couple of ladies who deserve some lovin’. Michelle Flick, author of

, has been such an inspiration since I’ve known her. Thank you so much for all your help, all your critique and all your feedback which has improved my work.
You believed in my stories
long before you’d read a single word.

Erica Cope—who writes amazing stories that you will soon get to read—went above and beyond to help me get

right. She helped me understand the America

A huge thank you to Stephanie Mooney for designing the amazing cover. Seriously, I can’t stop staring at it—it’s gorgeous!

I would also like to thank all the writers, authors and bloggers wh

Ebby, Angel, Bear, Kiara, Kovu, Lyra, Ollie, Mia & Ivy: my pets over the years who have curled up and kept me company as I wrote; who have howled, barked, meowed, and whatever-sound-a-rabbit-makes to remind me that I need to get away from the computer screen.

My mum and my dad have always bee
n behind me one hundred percent. They have encouraged my reading and writing since I was five years old and accepted that their daughter had a huge imagination, a lot of stories to tell, and stars in her eyes.
