My jaw dropped. That was exactly the kind of intel we had been waiting for. “Really? That’s great. Where is this place?”

“Little town in the middle of nowhere. Smithfield, West Virginia.”

The guys had both reached me where I stood in the yard. They were close enough that I had to mask the reaction the name of that town had on me. I didn’t want them to know that I had heard that name before—only I hadn’t realized I had until Nathan said it out loud.

Smithfield
. That was the word I had been hearing in my dreams. I knew it now. And it was then that I knew where we were really going, and where my destiny was leading me.

It wasn’t just a warehouse in a small town.

I was going to go find the boy in white.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

I couldn’t have done any of this without the support of my friends and family. Most of them know how long I have been writing, and waiting for the day to see my name on a book that I wrote. It’s exciting, and I’m glad I get to share it with you all.

I have to give a shout out to the many online friends I have made in the Harper Collin’s Authonomy writing community. Their feedback and encouragement has pushed me to finish and finally publish Ignited. Without them, this book would have a lot more grammatical errors. Thanks for the help guys and gals.

And what good is a book without an amazing cover? Thanks, Georgina, for creating a cover design I couldn’t forget, and then agreeing to work with me! I’m so happy to have the words of this book behind the beautiful cover you created, and I’m looking forward to working on future covers with you.

Finally, this couldn’t have been done without the stubbornness of Kris, Nathan, and Alec. They would not leave me alone until I put their story on paper, and for that, I am glad, or else Ignited would not have come to be. I’m looking forward to a nice, long series with this group. They’re kind of a fun bunch!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Desni Dantone first put pen to paper in the creative sense when she was eleven years old. Her mother was her first fan and critiqued her not-so-good stories with a smile. She likes to think that her writing has gotten much better since those first few rough drafts.

She resides in Greensburg, Pennsylvania with her husband, Stephen, son, Nicholas, dog, Bo, and their three cats, Jackson, Itty, and Yoshi. Her only claim to fame is that she hails from the same hometown as Dean Koontz, and she does try to find a way to bring it up every chance she gets. Her dream is for Everett, PA to be put on the map because it boasts not one, but two, best-selling authors.

She loves young adult paranormal romance books, and loves to write them even better. Her first novel, Ignited, is the first book in a series that she has enjoyed every minute of writing. Completing this series and pursuing a writing career is her goal in life—right after potty training her son and puppy!
