At one point Vince whispered to Blaine, “Should I be worried? Looks like my boyfriend is loving yours.”
Blaine giggled, “Walter is 100% hetero, so no worries. Just be glad that for once I have a date that gets along with your queen.”
Vince smiled, “You’re right. At least something has gone right with this horrible day.”
Blaine nodded, “Yes, at least something has. I am exhausted and ready to call it a night. At this point I don’t really care if we ever see that tiara.”
“Oh, now, don’t be so hasty, B! I know you well enough to know that you aren’t going to get naked for nothing. We have to make this pay off.”
Blaine laughed and slapped him on the arm. “I hate you sometimes.”
“I know.”
Vince and Eric had gotten very serious
over the last few years. In fact, Eric had moved in with Vince three months ago. Blaine was not a big fan of Eric. Not because she was jealous, but because she thought Eric was too much of a queen. He was very materialistic, very possessive of Vince’s time, and in general just a pain in the ass. iOpia, Inc. sometimes took an inordinate amount of time in order for Vince and Blaine to procure items for their clients. Eric had no patience for this. Of course, it didn’t help matters any that Vince sometimes seemed to avoid direct questions since Eric had no idea of procurements that weren’t on the open market.
So it was somewhat begrudgingly that Blaine learned that she and Walter were to meet Vince and Eric for brunch. She was glad Walter was staying another night since she had been so exhausted the previous evening that she had to beg off. Walter, as always, was a gentleman and didn’t push her to stay with him.
When the driver had dropped him off at the hotel, Walter had kissed her on the cheek, “Get some rest, baby girl.”
Blaine had blushed, “I am sorry. Rain check?”
He smiled, “Let’s hope it rains tomorrow. I will see you for brunch.” Blaine looked confused, so he clarified, “Sorry, thought you knew we are meeting your friends for brunch. My new best friend Eric said it was a must.” He started laughing, “So I guess it is a must!”
Blaine laughed. “Thanks, Walter, I will see you in the morning.”
She slept soundly and for the second morning in a row was awakened by Vince. She rolled over and grabbed her phone
: Hey sunshine! Great news
!
Blaine sighed
: Too early in the morning for me to guess. Tell me.
Vince:
Webbers have a home in Belize. We were right, just wrong house
!
Blaine responded:
Hmmm. Looks like a road trip in our future.
Vince:
Yep! See you in few!
Before Blaine could put the phone down, it pinged again.
Walter:
Hey baby girl. Up and about? I hope you are rested.
Blaine smiled
: I am very well rested. Enough so to make it up to you. I will be over in a few. What’s your room number?
Walter:
4010. See you soon!
Blaine got up, made herself a cup of coffee and jumped in the shower. Walter was such a lovely gentleman and just what she needed right now. As she was drying off, her phone pinged again. It was Stephan.
Hey! I am missing you. I get off tomorrow at 4. Can I see you? Blaine giggled as she looked at the phone.
Holy crap! Is everyone going to text me today? Geez, I need to find out when Walter is leaving. What to do, what to do?
She text back
,
If you see me tomorrow you will indeed be getting off! Let me get back to you. Not sure about schedule.
She could almost feel Stephan pouting as she read his response. Ok. Try to work me into your busy schedule.
She started to send a smartass response. After all, she had never committed to any man that she would be monogamous. She thought better of it though and instead responded: You are one of my favorite things to schedule! See you soon. Promise.
She finished getting ready, drank another cup of coffee and headed to the Driskill Hotel where Walter was staying. She let the valet park the car. She smiled to herself in the elevator thinking of what lay ahead. She stepped off and made her way to room 4010. She knocked. Walter must have been standing there waiting because it seemed like the door opened instantly.
Blaine smiled, opened up the front of her long coat, “Room service!”
Walter’s eyes widened and his jaw dropped. Blaine had arrived in her full-length fur coat. Underneath she wore black fishnet stockings with a black lacy garter belt. She wore red six-inch heels and nothing else.
He slipped his arm under the coat and pulled her into the room in a close embrace. She could feel the bulge in his pants signaling to her that he indeed appreciated the effort. He nuzzled her neck and took in a long breath. “Baby girl, I even love the way you smell.” He tilted her head back and gave her a long, penetrating kiss. He slid the fur coat off and threw it on a nearby chair.
He reached beneath her hips and picked her up. She wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist as he carried her to the bedroom. He gently laid her down on the bed and then began to undress.
He let his clothes drop to the floor and gently lowered himself onto her. She was already wet with anticipation. He gently entered her and began to thrust. Walter was a generous and gentle lover. He paced himself nicely so that he did not enjoy his release until she had enjoyed hers. He was a very quiet lover so she only had the quickening of his breathing to signal to her that he was climaxing.
As they lay there enjoying the moment, Walter looked over at the clock, “Hey baby girl, we need to get dressed. We are meeting your friends in less than an hour.”
Blaine frowned, “Well, crap. I didn’t think about that when I got dressed, or, um, undressed, for you this morning.” Walter looked at her questioningly. She laughed, “Yep. This is all I have with me. I forgot to pack clothes.”
He started laughing. “Well, you would make a great impression I am sure, but perhaps we should think of a Plan B.”
“Hmmmm. . . . well, there is a dress shop next door. I will just put my coat on and go buy something. A girl can never have too many dresses—surely they will have something. At least I did wear shoes!”
“And wore them quite well, I might add. Tell you what, let’s shower up and I will walk over with you. This should be an adventure.” He said as he headed to the bathroom.
Blaine laughed, “Seems like that’s my life lately—unplanned adventures.” He looked at her quizzically and she just shook her head, “Never mind just me blabbing.”
The two walked arm in arm
into the restaurant almost exactly an hour later. Vince and Eric were already seated with a bottle of champagne chilling. Each one had a full glass in front of them. They both stood to greet the pair, with Vince hugging Blaine, while Eric did the same with Walter.
“I am so glad you could make it,” enthused Eric.
Blaine looked at Vince and laughed as Walter held her chair, “Oh, I am sure you are just as glad to see me!”
Eric look surprised, “Well, of course, Blaine. Always a pleasure,” though his tone implied anything but.
Vince spoke up to break the awkwardness, “Blaine, you look great. A little fancy for brunch, though. You must have dressed to impress this morning.”
Both Walter and Blaine started laughing. Vince blushed thinking he had said something wrong and not understanding. Blaine finally caught her breath and she and Walter told the story of walking into one of the nicest boutiques in town with Blaine wearing only a long fur coat, stockings and heels.
The salesperson had recognized Blaine, of course, and kept offering to take her coat for her. Every time she made the offer, Walter and Blaine would die laughing. “She must think that I am some crazy man!” laughed Walter. “I just simply could not quit laughing. Poor thing. She had no idea that a naked woman was shopping out of sheer desperation.”
All four enjoyed a good laugh at Blaine’s expense. After eating a wonderful brunch the four decided on another bottle of champagne in order to sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful morning. As Vince sipped his third glass of champagne, he blurted “So, Blaine and I get to go to Belize for a client. I have never been. Should be fun.” The champagne had given him the courage he needed to tell Eric of yet another “business” trip.
Instead of being angry however, Eric seemed intrigued, “Honey, that sounds marvelous! When is this trip?” Vince was a surprised as Blaine by Eric’s response.
Walter looked at Blaine and smiled, “When is this trip? Belize is fabulous this time of year.”
Blaine looked at Vince and shrugged. “That’s what we have to figure out. The sooner the better. We have a client that has waited a long time for us to find the right piece for his girlfriend. We think we have found a seller in Belize. We need to go in person to see for sure.”
Eric was all smiles, “Oh, Walter, did you say that Belize is fabulous this time of year? Let’s all go! This will be a wonderful trip!”
Blaine froze with a glass of champagne halfway to her mouth.
Holy shit!
But before she could react further, she was even more stunned when Walter agreed. “I would love to go. What do you think Blaine? I know you have business, but let me treat you to a little fun as well. I know I could use a few days in the sun and San Pedro is just the place. In fact, I know a little place up the coast there that has a fabulous spa. Just what the doctor ordered, I think.”
Holy shit! BOTH of them? There is no way to say no!
Instead she held up her glass and made a toast, “To Belize!” She and Vince made eye contact as they all clinked glasses. She could tell he was as worried as she. She smiled at him reassuringly as she sipped her champagne.
Eric was having a meltdown
as the plane was being boarded. He had a case of what Blaine called the “what ifs.” What if there are germs? What if there is a crash? What if the food is bad? Blaine acted as if she did not know either of them and watched as Vince consoled his partner. They were in first class with Blaine sitting behind them. Walter would be joining them in Miami when they made their connection. Blaine was actually looking forward to seeing him.
Eric calmed down after a Xanax and a glass of wine. Blaine was smiling watching them. As much as Eric got on her nerves, she could tell that Vince really did love him.
Wonder if I will ever find someone I love enough to put up with them? Oh hell, what am I thinking, it is ME that someone would have to put up with!
She leaned back in her seat and let her mind drift. Everything had been somewhat of a blur after that fateful brunch. The day after the brunch, Vince and Blaine were in the office bright and early. They immediately had Delores begin looking at flights to Belize. Delores didn’t ask any questions when they asked her to book for Eric and Walter as well. She had to be curious though. Her bosses never travelled with anyone.
Blaine smiled as she looked out the window and relaxed. Stephan had been disappointed that she hadn’t had time for him. He worked three days on and three days off as most firemen do. She felt badly that she couldn’t see him before he went back to work, but Walter had stayed another night and she and Vince had to spend hours and hours to plan the acquisition in Belize. After all, they would not be alone. She also thought about Julian. She hadn’t seen nor heard from him in months. She tried not to let it bother her, but it did. He did. He was the only man that had ever gotten under her skin. She always promised herself after he disappeared from her life once again that she would not let him back in. She always did though. She knew in her heart she always would.
She was awakened from her daydreaming by the announcement that they were landing. She looked at the two in the seats in front of her. Vince was holding Eric’s hand and the two seemed at peace.
Good!
She thought,
Maybe this trip will work out after all. And maybe Eric will stop nagging Vince about the time he spends at iOpia and appreciate that Vince works hard to maintain their lifestyle.
The group did not have to change planes which was a relief. Vince wasn’t sure he could take dragging Eric off one plane and back on another. Instead, they waited as passengers making connections exited and then watched as the others boarded. At the sight of Walter stepping on the plane, Eric seemed to forget all about his fear of flying.
Instead he jumped up and gave Walter a hug, “Oh my! I am so excited for our trip! So glad you are here.”
Walter was a bit embarrassed as they were blocking the aisle. He patted Eric on the back, “I am glad too, buddy. Let’s sit so we can get going.” He slid in his seat next to Blaine. She had a glass of wine waiting for him. They were both smiling at the scene Eric had made and silently clinked their glasses.
Eric stood and looked over his seat at the two. He made Vince do the same. Eric was certainly feeling no pain after a few glasses of wine on the first leg of the trip and the Xanax that Vince had made him take. He was oblivious to the other passengers boarding and the scene he was making. Vince didn’t have the heart to say anything. He was just glad to see his partner so happy.
“To the best trip ever!” said Eric as he held up his glass, “May it be fun and profitable!”
The four held up their glasses.
Indeed
thought Blaine
May it be very profitable! Here’s to the Queen of Spain and to the Webbers!
Vince and Blaine were in front of the hotel
in San Pedro waiting on their rental car. After much debate, they had decided against a driver. The thought of even one more person knowing their whereabouts made them both nervous. This was their first day in Belize. Somehow Eric had found out that today was Walter’s birthday. Blaine was embarrassed that she had no idea. Even though Vince had prepared Eric that he and Blaine would be working the first of the vacation, there was no denying Eric that the four would have a birthday celebration. He insisted that Vince be back to the hotel early. In all honesty, there really wasn’t much choice.
