It was a coincidence that Randy had been home in Alabama the week that Sexy visited, otherwise, they would have run into each other before. The one thing that Cheryl found out, which surprised her, was that while Sexy openly flirted with the single team members, she hadn't approached any of the married men. So why Randy? Cheryl wondered. Just my fucking luck.

There had been other girls who'd targeted Randy, but he paid most of them little attention. Why mess around with hamburger when he had steak at home, he'd told one of his friends. If Cheryl noticed a girl who did pique his interest, she made quick work of them. Sometimes she was antagonistic, occasionally aggressive, but most often, she simply let the true bitch in her come out. And then there were the couple of times when some chick appealed to Randy so much Cheryl invited her into the bedroom for a threesome. The next morning, the random chick would be out of their bed, out of Randy's senses, and out of their lives.

But this Sexy girl . . . Cheryl could sense she was really going to be hard to dismiss as easily as the rest. Thank goodness Randy hadn't mentioned her once they left the party. Maybe her aggressiveness had turned him off. She certainly hoped so.

uring the ride back to the hotel, it was obvious that something had ticked Yusef off. Normally, he'd talk nonstop about the connections he'd made regarding endorsements and other money-making ventures. Or he'd brag about the close friendship he and Randy were developing. But tonight he was quiet and brooding.

If he thought Sexy was going to feed into his childish behavior by asking what was wrong with him, he had better think again. She wasn't into coddling grown-ass men. Turning away from Yusef, she gazed out the window. From the reflection of the glass, she could see him looking down at his phone, reading and responding to texts. He broke into a smile every now then, as if he'd read a suggestive comment from a female admirer.

If he thought he could make Sexy jealous, he was sadly mistaken. He was doing her a favor by keeping his mouth shut for a change. Little did he know, she had grown completely bored with him and had already moved on emotionally to bigger and better things. After hearing the salary that Randy Alston earned, Sexy realized that Yusef was only small potatoes compared to a star player like Randy Alston.

Silently informing Yusef that two could play the same game, she retrieved her phone from her purse and texted a few of her friends and updated her Instagram page with pics from the swanky party. She made a mental note that the next time she was in Randy's company, she'd be certain to get a pic of the two of them together.

The thought of Randy brought a smile to her lips. Sure, he had a shitload of money that she wanted a large portion of, but there was also something else going on that she couldn't quite pinpoint. Perhaps it was his quiet charm and Southern bashfulness.

From her peripheral vision, she could see that Yusef had put his phone away. Watching him cutting his eye at her, Sexy got the impression that he was ready to break the ice and talk about whatever was on his mind. Well, she wasn't going to make it easy for him. Keeping her eyes focused on the screen of her phone, she inputted a very important number—Randy's number—which she'd stealthily lifted from his phone and memorized during that brief moment she'd had possession of his phone.

When the limo pulled in front of their hotel, Sexy leapt out without waiting for the driver to open her door. As Yusef tipped the driver and said a few parting words, Sexy darted inside the hotel and sped toward the elevator without so much as a glance over her shoulder to check to see if Yusef was behind her.

Yusef managed to jump inside the elevator seconds before the doors closed. “What's your problem? Why'd you jump out of the limo like that?” he asked with his brows knitted together in agitation.

“You're my problem.”

“Don't put this on me. You're the one who made me look like a chump tonight while you were flitting around the party, flirting and carrying on as if you're single.”

“Excuse me,” she said, holding up her left hand as a reminder that her ring finger was bare.

Yusef's facial features softened. “Is that what's wrong, baby? Are you upset because I haven't popped the question, yet?”

She rolled her eyes toward the ceiling. “Don't flatter yourself, Yusef.”

He nodded his head knowingly. “You don't have to admit it, but I know women, and now I realize why you were deliberately trying to tick me off at the party. I get it. I realize that most of the other players have wives, and you feel out of the loop.”

Yusef enveloped Sexy in his arms. “I love you, girl. It's not that marriage is out of the question, baby, but I need to marinate on the subject for a little while.”

“How long is a little while?” she murmured, merely playing along.

“A major move like that isn't something I'm willing to consider until I get through the season. But as soon as the season ends, we'll start looking at rings—I promise.”

“Okay.” With her face buried in Yusef's chest, she was able to hide the smirk on her face.

Yusef has a history of being a womanizer, yet he's like putty in my hands. But it's not surprising that I'm able to manipulate men so easily. After all, I learned from the best—my mother! I watched that sophisticated ho pull the wool over my father's eyes my entire life, and now I'm going to put all those lessons learned to good use when I go after Randy Alston. Once I get him out of the clutches of that controlling wife of his, and use my powers of seduction, I'll be able to mold him any way I want.

Sexy turned toward Yusef with a frown. “I'm starving. It's a wonder I'm not sloppy drunk after drinking on an empty stomach.”

“Why didn't you eat at the party? The food was banging.”

“I wasn't hungry then, but I am now.”

“It's too late for room service. Do you want to go back out and get dinner?”

Smiling devilishly, Sexy shook her head. “Nope, I'm not feeling any restaurants. What I have a taste for is right there,” she said, caressing his crotch.

“Oh, shit.” Yusef began undoing his fly while his eyes darted upward. “What about the cameras?”

Sexy hit the stop button, bringing the elevator to a standstill between floors. “Fuck those cameras. And fuck dinner. All I want is dessert,” she said, moistening her lips as she dropped to her knees.

Only a few New York Yankees WAGs—Wives and Girlfriends—had been welcoming toward Sexy. Although it bothered Yusef that Sexy wasn't fitting in with the other WAGs, Sexy couldn't have cared less. In fact, she was relieved that no one had called and requested that she take on any tasks at today's 10K walk-a-thon, a charity event being held in Central Park to benefit some kind of endangered animal. It was much too hot for her to be burdened with tasks that required her to exert any amount of energy, and the only reason she was bothering to even show up was that she'd heard that Cheryl Alston would be in attendance, handing out T-shirts to walkers after they crossed the finish line.

Sexy had been irked by Cheryl's over-the-top reaction when Sexy had offered to input her number in Randy's phone. The guy obviously wanted Sexy, but his wife was too insecure to let him and Sexy indulge in a little playtime. Oh, well, if at first you don't succeed . . .

The best way to get to Randy was to figure out his wife's weaknesses. Showing up uninvited at the charity walk would be phase one of her plan to steal Cheryl's meal-ticket. She'd enjoyed many sexual conquests in the past, but to actually take Randy away from his snooty wife and claim him as her own would be the biggest coup of Sexy's life. The idea of succeeding in such a major scheme sent shivers up and down her spine.

When Sexy showed up at the charity walk, her intention was to merely observe Cheryl and get under her skin by prancing around in a string bikini and a pair of black and gold Chanel sneakers. It was an added bonus to overhear Cheryl and Mila Sawyer, another player's wife, gossiping about her as she stood outside a tent that was set up for charity staff.

“I can't believe that little hooker came to our event dressed like she's spending a day at the beach,” Mila ranted. “I had hoped that Yusef Rawls was merely having a fling with the tramp, but apparently he plans to marry her when the season ends.”

“I don't know Yusef personally, but he doesn't appear to be foolish enough to actually marry a raunchy hooker. Did he give her a ring, yet?” Cheryl asked.

“Not yet, but he's serious about her. He asked my husband, Brent, to recommend a good jeweler.”

As she eavesdropped on the conversation between Cheryl and Mila, Sexy couldn't hold back a proud smile. How sweet of Yusef to want to let his teammates know that he intended to wife her. Unfortunately, she had no intention of being tied down with him. The only man she viewed as husband material was Randy Alston. And by hook or crook, she was going to take a walk down the aisle with Cheryl's soon-to-be ex-husband!

“Actually, a married Sexy Sanchez is good news. Maybe after Yusef has papers on her, he can get her under control, and stop her from hitting on my husband every chance she gets,” Cheryl commented.

“But if he marries that slut, we'll be forced to accept her into our inner circle. And I can't imagine ever being in the company of the likes of her, ever again. I had the misfortune of having to sit through an elegant dinner at one of the most prestigious restaurants in the city with that little trollop. The way she grinded her ass on Yusef's lap in the midst of the meal was absolutely mortifying,” Mila complained. “And throughout the raunchy dance, she was staring at Brent, flagrantly flirting and licking her lips.”

With an ear pressed against the canvass fabric of the tent, Sexy covered her mouth, stifling a giggle as she reminisced about the lap dance she'd given Yusef during dinner. Sure, she'd thrown a few seductive smiles at the male onlookers, but she hadn't singled out Brent. Mila was delusional if she thought Sexy was interested in her buck-toothed husband.

“Don't worry, Mila. It's all going to work out,” Cheryl said wisely. “Once she's captured her own baller and has a ring on her finger, she'll see things from our perspective and she'll calm the hell down. She'll have to focus her attention on keeping those cut-throat groupies away from Yusef instead of slithering up to our men and grinning in their faces. It's a good thing the boys are out on the road and didn't see her prancing around in that bikini. I hate to admit it, but her body is sick, and I may have to start hitting the gym twice a day.”

“I don't know if revving up your exercise routine will be enough, Cheryl. I have a bad feeling about that girl. She's stirring up trouble in my bedroom workout without even trying.”

“How'd she manage to do that?” Cheryl asked, sounding amused.

“Yusef has been bragging to the guys that his girl gives him head three and four times a day. He even claims that she drives to practice and sucks his dick in the car. Yusef attributes the extracurricular dick sucking to the improvement in his stats.”

“Oh, God!” Cheryl groaned in disgust. “If she wants to suck a sweaty dick in a car during team practice, that's her problem, not ours.”

“She comes equipped with baby wipes when she meets him at practice. And a jar of Marshmallow Fluff.”

“Are you kidding me?” Cheryl screeched in irritation.

“I kid you not. You should have heard the yearning in Brent's voice when he relayed that information to me. I swear to God, if a jar of Marshmallow Fluff turns up in my kitchen cabinet, I'm filing for a divorce. Brent may not get three and four blow jobs a day like Yusef does, but he gets his fair share. I don't like the way Yusef is putting ideas into my husband's head, making him feel as if our love life is inadequate.”

“Marshmallow Fluff, huh?” Cheryl said with a giggle. “I don't know about you, Mila, but after the walk-a-thon is over, I'm stopping at my favorite specialty shop to pick up a package of gourmet, Bavarian marshmallows. When Randy comes home, I'm gonna work some marshmallow magic by melting the exquisite marshmallows into a delectable spread, and slather it all over his dick, and then I'm gonna lick it all off with pleasure.” Cheryl laughed and added, “Let me know if you hear about any of Sexy's other slut-stunts. That trick-bitch has no idea that she's gonna help me continue to keep my husband happy at home!”

“As usual, you're right, Cheryl,” Mila conceded, and then ended the conversation by asking Cheryl what she planned on wearing to the next home game. “Being a former fashion model, I know you won't be wearing jeans and a Yankees shirt.”

“No, I won't,” Cheryl said with a chuckle. “I haven't decided yet, but whatever I wear will be couture-casual. I won't be sitting behind home plate with the other wives next week. Jeff Roberts invited me to sit in his sky box, and since this will be my first time having such choice seating, I plan to make a good impression.”

“Mr. Roberts never invited me to join him and his hoity-toity friends in his skybox,” Mila said in a pouty tone.

“What can I say? It's one of the perks of being married to Randy Alston. Maybe you'll get invited next time,” Cheryl pacified.

Sexy was suddenly livid. Why hadn't she been invited to the owner's luxury box? She looked just as good, if not better than Cheryl Alston, and the owner should have been honored to have her gracing his stupid skybox.

Fuck this charity walk. I'm going back to the hotel to make an important phone call. If Yusef wants to marry me, he'd better figure out a way to get me in that damn skybox.

In Jeff Roberts' skybox at Yankee Stadium, Sexy exited the private restroom right in time to see Cheryl's arrival. Lingering near the restroom, she observed Cheryl with a scowl. Cheryl was overdressed in a whimsical white, embroidery and lace, calf-length dress, a wide-brim straw hat, and large sunglasses. The bitch was such a flamboyant diva. She was at a baseball game, for Christ's sake, not a semiformal event.
