"And what are the other reasons you are drawn to me?” The moon shone in his eyes, intensifying his beauty. Unnaturally perfect. Possibly, it was a side-effect of his condition. All she knew of vampires was what she'd seen on TV, in movies and read in books. How much truth was in those mediums was hard to tell.

"There's the accent. What girl could resist its deep inflection and soothing melody? And then there is your dangerous edge, which is countered by your devotion to your beliefs. And I can't say that the talents you exhibit with your tongue and fangs are working against you."

"Your body reveals its needs to me and I'm attentive enough to respond.” His eyes shimmered with desire. A corner of his mouth curled upward in a smile.

Heat gushed between her folds at his words. She inched closer and pressed her mouth to his. With his tongue, he coaxed her lips apart. She tasted her own juices coating his mouth, her sweetness mixed with his robust manly flavor. Nothing could be better than the feel of his cool skin on hers burning from his touch.

Since he had never been with a woman, she wanted to be the master of his ecstasy. “Lie beneath me."

"You want to be on top?” he asked with a grin.

The idea of riding him made her feel more in control. Safer. “Do you mind?"

He shook his head. “Certainly not, it's a huge turn-on.” He pulled her to his body, stood, then sat with her straddling him.

Beneath her, she felt him, hard under the fabric of his pants.

"There isn't a moment since I laid eyes on you that I didn't want you.” He stroked back her curls and kissed her neck.

"Do you want to bite me?"

"Ay. Now that I've gotten a taste for you it's impossible not to want more, but you aren't food to me. I don't want you to think I expect you to let me drink from you. Do you understand?"

"What if I want to be the only source of nourishment, for all your needs?” The thought of him touching another in such intimate ways caused her lungs to constrict. She grew dizzy. Kieran was hers, and hers alone, to have. Maybe he'd see that too.

He covered her cheeks in kisses. “You are like sunshine."

Warmth rushed to her face at his compliment. “Can you be out in the sun?"

He shook his head. “Which makes you that much more precious."

She rocked her sex over his material-covered erection. “Do we need protection?"

"I'm unsure of what effect I would have on you.” He shrugged, but there was sadness in his eyes. “Not to chance your safety, we should."

She reached over to her nightstand and removed a box of condoms. Her friend Amanda had stuffed the box in her purse at the airport when she'd seen Sephora off. Amanda had said,
I know you wouldn't get these for yourself, but I want you to be ready if you meet the right man.
Sephora had shoved them in the drawer and hadn't thought of them until she'd met Kieran on the bridge two weeks ago. An assorted pack of ribbed sensation—it was just like Amanda to get the fancy kind.

"For increased stimulation,” he read from the packet. “I definitely want to enhance the sensations of pleasure for you. How many times can we reach the peak of bliss, do you think?"

Infinite amounts. All they needed was time. But tomorrow he'd be ordained into the priesthood and she would lose him forever to God. It was selfish for her not to want him to go through with serving God ... probably. But he was the first ray of hope she had in a long time, and she didn't want relinquish it—him.

"Did I say something wrong?” He tilted her face to force her gaze to his.

Unsure that her voice could mask her growing attachment to him, she pressed her lips together. She was falling in love with Kieran. That was the craziest thought she'd had yet. The man was about to pledge his life to God in the service of others, and was a vampire. She couldn't burden him with her silly emotions. Especially given that she couldn't make sense of them herself.

Chapter 6

Kieran waited for a response from Sephora. Hopefully the words he'd spoken wouldn't reveal how far into the well of her loveliness he'd fallen. Tomorrow looked less and less appealing. At this very moment he had everything he'd ever needed. And something he had known he wanted. With her, he had much more than he'd ever prayed for. A strong woman who didn't hide behind the pain she'd endured and stay locked away. When he'd lost his parents at eighteen, he'd needed something to hold onto. Perhaps he'd turned to his faith—and to God, for erroneous reasons. Was comfort really a bad reason? Many people found God only in troubled times. There was nothing inherently incorrect with finding strength in the Creator.

She shook her head. “No. You've said nothing wrong.” With her pelvis angled to his, she descended. “Tonight will be a night difficult to live up to."

And with whom would she be trying to surpass the pleasure they'd shared if he no longer existed? His Sephora, in the arms of another man? That wasn't possible. Would she let another touch her all the ways he had? No other lover would learn her body the way Kieran intended to.

"It's my turn to ask you if I said something to upset you."

"No,

,” he forced himself to say, despite the hurt of the thought of her with another. It was him losing his mind. And his heart while he was at it. He had lost the reins on his emotions. He cupped her face and kissed her mouth. “I want you to know how much I desire making love with you."

Her sweet exhalation held hints of the taste of her juices. In a short time, she'd had him addicted to every inch of her.

She reached for the waist of his pants and tugged. To accommodate her request, he lay back. Her every movement drew him in further. The moon cast its glow on her angelic face. Her rounded nose was the most perfect he'd ever seen. The outline of her bronze lips blended into a soft pink like the folds between her legs. His tip grew damp as he remembered the pleasure on her face and slight difference in the taste of her juices when she climaxed. She peeled back his pants and boxers.

Her eyes grew wide. “From the feel, I knew you were going to be big, but I wasn't expecting it to be so thick."

"It's nice to know you aren't disappointed.” He smiled in relief.

She laughed and her breasts bobbed. He swooped in, kissed one of her nipples. Nothing in his life could have prepared him for her. Nor for how what they'd share next would affect him. Adam lost his place in the sacred garden for tasting Eve. Empires had fallen over two men's adoration of the same woman. The Taj Mahal had been built in honor of the love one man felt for his wife.

"Be still.” She reclined, condom in hand.

"I'm yours to command.” He lay motionless.

She lifted his cock upright, held the tip of the condom and rolled the latex down his shaft. Her bronze skin against his pale flesh created a wondrous contrast. Warmth tingled beneath her touch all the way to his heart. Where was all this coming from? She'd managed to draw his emotions and soul into her.

She lifted onto her knees and adjusted her body over his. Anticipating their union, his breathing accelerated, and he swallowed. She slid the head of his cock to her clit, then to her tight entrance. He labored to breathe and clenched his hands into fists. They were about to become one. Heat wrapped around the head and descended his shaft. The slick sounds echoed, intermixed with their deep breathing. Her wet inner lips spread, taking his cock further into her.

"Mmm.” She bit her bottom lip.

"You like?” he asked as he struggled to remain in place for her, not wanting to frighten her with his need to touch and caress her.

"Most definitely.” With her dark eyes, she met his gaze.

"You feel extremely tight.” He placed his hands on her hips to slow her descent. “If you can't continue because of my size, I won't be angry. I promise.” The last thing he wanted to do was harm her. “Don't injure yourself because I pleasured you."

"I want to be filled with you.” Vulnerability softened her face. “When you are not in me I want to suffer from the loss of the imprint of you inside me."

He could get lost in her intensity. “I love that you said that.” If he laid out in words his interest in her, wouldn't she be less into him? Wasn't that the game couples played? The problem was, he didn't want to hold back. He wouldn't spend a moment longer trying to figure out how he should act. A sharp pain struck his heart but it was better to lose her because of the man he was—not the one he was pretending to be.

Her labia met with the base of his cock. “I love the feel of you inside me,” she said.

His cock pulsed from the snug feel of her body. He couldn't hold back from touching her a moment longer. They were one. She had accepted him within her. He sat up, and cradled her near. “As do I.” Before long, all he'd know was the feel of their release. Nothing else mattered. From beneath her, he rocked upward into her. His flesh burned with the strength of his desire.

"Oh, I can feel you deep.” She placed her trembling hands on his shoulders.

"Should we stop?” He rubbed the nape of her neck, hoping that in his haste he hadn't hurt her.

"Definitely not.” She smiled. “Give me everything you've got, Kieran."

It was a dangerous request to make. “Everything?"

"Don't hold anything back.” She pumped up and down.

When she talked like that, he wanted to believe in the possibility of a life with her. “You are a very dangerous apparition.” No eternity on Earth alone. They would wander through the ages together, finding comfort in each other's arms. But he knew it was selfish to want such an outcome.

She rocked down the length of him again. The ribbed edges of the barrier between them vibrated as her tight opening slid back and forth.

Her saccharine arousal filled the space and worked its way deep inside him. A luster coated her skin, made her glow copper in the moonlight. Juices slid down to his balls. She was as hot for this as he was. He thrust, and she cried out. Lips to her skin, he worked his way to her hard nipple. Twirling his tongue around the warm flesh to his mouth, he bit gently.

"Mmm, don't stop.” Her rhythm increased in speed and depth.

He matched his pumping to hers. The intensity building toward his release as he drove into her was mind-blowing. Her pleas were guttural and awoke his own crude instincts. Each up and down beat drew him closer and closer to madness.

"Sephora,” he said, and pushed harder. Could she be feeling an ounce of his connection to her?

She met his gaze and pressed her nose to his. “Yes, Kieran?” Sweat glazed her body. She glistened in the night. She was either a gift from God, there to answer his prayers, or temptation from the devil. Whichever she represented, he no longer cared. If she would have him, he was hers.

"You are perfection.” For him she was.

The corners of her dark eyes softened with the smile curling her pretty, full lips. She dropped her head back, exposing her neck to him. Her pulse drew his attention. Her blood pumped fast, like the rhythm of her heart.

"Bite me,” she demanded.

Could he really refuse to give in to her, when she shared such bliss with him? He licked her salty sweet skin and his fangs descended, answering her request. It was intuitive. His heart slammed in his chest.

"Please,” she pleaded, guiding his head in.

He sunk his teeth into her flesh. From within her a gasp echoed. Hot sweet fluid flooded his mouth. He squeezed her tight, hoping it would slow the overpowering hunger gripping him. He sucked more of her into him, swallowed and gorged even more. Rocking deeper into her, he bucked harder.

She quivered in his arms. “Kieran. I'm coming."

His hunger wouldn't permit him to respond. He sped the motion of her descent, burying himself to the depth of her canal. Wanting to know the end of his need. The end of his hunger and longing. It couldn't continue like this. He couldn't go on without her.

The first gush of his climax shot into the barrier between them.

Chapter 7

Sephora wrapped her arms around Kieran's neck and cradled his head as he drank more from her. Tremors moved through every inch of her from his wild movements. It would be so easy to go this way. In his arms. Lost in him. This was perfection. All she needed to do was let go. The urgency of his thrusts undulated though her. Nothing in her life had ever felt as right as when her body joined with his. And when they shared ecstasy.

His grip tightened. He wrenched his mouth from her neck. “Sephora,” he roared with the last of his release, driving deep within her. Blood smeared on his mouth and chin. A trail of fluid drizzled down her chest. Supported by his arms, she relaxed onto his chest. Her body felt heavy, lulled as if to sleep, and her eyelids drifted shut.

"I'm tired,” she said. His manly scent enveloped her, mixing with her own. With him, she was safe and protected. “We make great love."

"Made love?” he questioned, with surprise in his tone, which slid through the fog in her mind.

"That's what it was for me.” Every muscle in her body relaxed. Tonight she'd shared love in the arms of a man. Technically, he was a vampire. But definitely a male.

Everything grew hazy. She jerked from the sense of falling.

"I drank too much.” Panic sounded in his voice. “Sephora, open your eyes.” He licked her neck.

She giggled from the touch of his tongue. “Not right now, let me get some rest.” For a man that had never been with a woman before, he sure had become a demanding lover quickly. It was good to know he wanted her again, but it was too soon for her. Given his erection was still stiff, it didn't appear to be for him. He was still inside her, filling her. Her clit throbbed. Maybe that was a vampire thing.

"
Mo lon dubh
, look at me,” he commanded.

She tried to do what he requested of her, if only to get him to let her rest, but she simply couldn't. “Sorry, no can do. I've met my capacity,” she muttered. “Three orgasms is a respectable amount for your first time with a woman. I'm not conditioned for this kind of marathon sex. You've got to work a girl up to all this satisfaction, otherwise she's exhausted."
