Not three sucks later, she was caught off guard by the orgasm that ripped through her body, making her clamp her thighs against his head, and moan deeply against his cock still buried near the back of her throat.

Mo chreach
,” Rory cursed, grabbing her by the hair and pulling her off him. “I dinna want to finish yet.”

He was flipping her onto her back once more, his thick, hard body looming above her, his thighs spreading hers.

“God, I missed ye,” he said, capturing her mouth once more for a searing kiss.

Moira wrapped her arms around his shoulders, clinging to him, her legs pinned around his hips. The head of his cock probed against her still quivering entrance, and then he was surging forward, burying himself deep inside her. Filling. Stretching. Owning.

Both of them cried out, the sounds of their pleasure echoing from stone wall to stone wall. Hands stroked. Tongues tasted. Lips locked.

He thrust inside her, ground his pelvis to hers, arched up, and slowly withdrew. A pattern that changed the closer she came to climaxing, until she felt for certain he was tormenting her on purpose.

She listened intently to his breathing, to the sounds of his moans, cries of her own pleasure, relishing gasps. His groans grew deeper, guttural, primal. He pumped harder, hastening his pace. Plunging deep. Tiny tremors quickened inside her. So close.

She dug her nails into his back, gasping with ecstasy. Rory’s forehead fell to the crook of her shoulder, his tongue flicking out to taste a drop of her sweat.

And then they were both coming, both of them crying out, shuddering, riding the waves of boundless pleasure.

“I never—” Rory gulped, his breathing as erratic as the pounding of her heart. “Before I met ye, I never thought I’d be this happy.” He fell to the side, pulling her into his arms. “Never thought I’d find love. Never thought I’d find such pleasure. And I… I could go another round… Saints, but ye have undone me.”

“Nay, I have made ye whole, just as ye have completed me.” She walked her fingers along the sinew of his chest.

Rory chuckled, and hugged her tighter, pressing a tender kiss to her lips. “Aye, and we just proved together we can make one.”

Moira laughed with him, but their laughs were soon quelled by more kisses, and proving just how much they could be one again.

Moon Magic

By

Eliza Knight

When thunder crashes

And lightning illuminates

Magic comes to pass.

Thistles sway, dancing

Purple petals and green stems

So very lovely.

Rain falls in crystal torrents

Sparkling drops on fingertips

Liquid Sustenance.

Black clouds shield the sun

Blankets the world in darkness

Takes away our sight.

The castle climbs high

Battlements touching the sky

Striking fear below.

Warriors come now

Their weapons shined and sharpened

Prepared for vengeance.

We will survive this

Surge of ruthless cruelty

For we are strong, wise.

Loneliness touches

Us all and can break hearts

Leaving us wretched.

Massaging the soul

Flexing your capacity

To accept love’s hold.

Flames burst destroying

Everything in its path

Leaving all tainted.

The evils of men

Devastate the innocent

Leaving destruction.

Do not surrender

To one who strips you, attempts

To watch you bleed dry.

Fear paralyzes

Only those who allow it

Be strong, be steady.

Afraid of being

Broken leaves one hopeless and

The future stark, bleak.

When hope does soar high

So too does joy and pleasure

Fostering courage.

Brave and courageous

Forge ahead leaving the past

And tumbling forward.

Beneath moon magic

Lovers gentle strokes bring bliss

And sweet surrender.

A precious ending

A love that shan’t be broken

By the bonds of time.

Eliza’s story in the anthology…

Bestselling and award-winning authors bring you four never-before-published novellas of searing passions that span the ages. Four fierce warriors from Ireland and Scotland... Four heroines determined to resist them... One dagger steeped in the blood and treachery of kings.

The King’s Outlaw
, by Kris Kennedy

1193 - Outlawed and on the run, Tadhg O’Malley has one mission: escape with the valuable dagger of Jerusalem before a brutal nobleman hunts him down. Trapped and almost cornered, his plan is simple: kidnap the innocent merchant with the long hair and complicated eyes. Igniting a raging passion is not part of the plan. Neither is falling in love. Both endanger their lives, his mission, and with it, the kingdom.

Taken by the Highlander
, by Eliza Knight

1306 - A week before Lady Rose Munro is to wed a neighboring laird, she is abducted on the road by a wicked and dangerously handsome stranger. Highland warrior, Malcolm Montgomery has been ordered by King Robert the Bruce to steal Rose and her son from the suspected traitor she is about to marry—gifting him with an ancient and much sought after dagger as payment. Rose shouldn’t trust her captor. Shouldn’t feel her body heat at his simple touch, or allow him to press his fervent lips to hers… Malcolm shouldn’t be seducing the woman he is sworn to protect. Shouldn’t desire her, for she’s not meant to be his… Succumbing to passion threatens them both, and falling in love is absolutely not an option.

Stolen by a Highland Rogue
, by Vonda Sinclair

1619 - When the infamous dagger is stolen from Highland chief, Dugald MacKerrick, he will do whatever it takes to reclaim it, even abduct the wife of the aristocratic thief, but what if his beautiful French hostage isn't who he thinks she is? Deep in the rugged Scottish Highlands, Dugald discovers not only is his captive, Camille Bouchard, more than he expected, so is the passion raging between them, threatening everything he thought mattered to him.

Her Wicked Highlander
, by Jennifer Haymore

1816 - Maxwell White is the newest member of the Highland Knights, an elite mercenary group sworn to protect the Crown. His first assignment is to keep independent and spirited Aila MacKerrick safe from a madman determined to get his hands on a treasure she unwittingly possesses. But Aila isn’t going to simply allow some Highlander—as handsome as he might be—to capture her and whisk her away to an abandoned castle. She’ll fight to the death for her freedom...as soon as she rids herself of this pesky, insistent desire that makes her far more inclined to run into his arms than away from them....

Taking by the Highlander

Prologue

Foulis Castle, Scottish Highlands

1297

They were under attack.

Rose, Lady of Munro, grabbed a candlestick—the only thing she could find in her immediate vicinity to use as a weapon. She wrapped her arms around herself and sank to the floor of her solar, grateful she’d had enough energy to at least bar the doors.

Oh, Byron…
She chewed on her trembling lip. Rose had tried to grab hold of her husband’s hand and begged him to stay with her, but he’d insisted on protecting the castle. He’d told her to hide, then rushed out, his sword drawn, toward the sounds of people screaming and the clanging of weapons.

In her terror, the pains had started in her pregnant belly much too soon. She rubbed a hand over her middle, trying to somehow soothe herself. For the moment, they’d subsided.

Who would attack them?

And why?

Byron had seen to it upon becoming laird of Foulis Castle that they had excellent fortifications. A stone gate tower was built at the front of the castle walls, with at least half a dozen guards on watch at all times. Byron made sure the gate was always closed, and most often the portcullis lowered. Their walls were thick and impenetrable. If they were being attacked, there should have been fair warning. The guards could see all around the castle. No hidden spots for an enemy to hide. Her husband’s retainers kept guard not only upon the walls but the land, too.

So, how? Someone from the inside?

Rose drew in a ragged breath, closed her eyes for only a second.

What had she overheard Byron’s meddling sister, Myra, railing about? Something about rumors of an impending attack by an ally. But Rose could remember nothing beyond that. And it didn’t matter anyway, because they were unquestionably being attacked now.

Rose wasn’t certain of how long she’d been on the floor. Her muscles clenched painfully tight, and though the aches in her womb had ceased, the chatter of her teeth had not. It had probably been hours.

And then there was silence.

The sounds of the fighting had stopped. No more screaming. Not even the sound of wood cracking as furniture was overturned. No boots running along the floors or up and down the stairs.

’Twas as if they’d all simply disappeared.

Maybe she was dead, and this was purgatory. Doomed to walk the empty halls of the castle. Being a superstitious sort, Rose pinched herself. It hurt. She wasn’t dead.

Well, death may not have yet come, but, she felt in her soul that all was lost, and most importantly, the life of her beloved Byron. Tears of despair welled in her eyes, but after a shuddering half-sob, she forced them not to spill. Not yet. She had to figure out a way to escape. She’d not yet succumbed to the monsters who’d destroyed her life, her love.
