Is this bitch crazy?
Her thick jet black hair brushed up against his shoulder and a puff of hot breath steamed the side of his neck. “Since you look the part, I figured you’d want to be my sugar daddy tonight, but I thought it might be fun to
switch
it up,” she said in a provocative tone, snapping the cowhide once again across the seat of his pants.
Rolling onto his back, he stared up through narrowed dark eyes and grabbed hold of her wrist, pulling the girl down onto the bed. Springing to his feet, he switched places with her and pinned her hands above her head. “Now it’s your
daddy’s
turn to be in control,” he said, his gentle voice transforming into a sinister one as his mouth contorted with rage.
Her green eyes widened in fear.

Exhausted, he sat on the bed and attempted to reflect on the events of the evening, making sure that he didn’t leave too many clues behind for the men dressed in blue uniforms. Inhaling a long, deep breath, he took in the surroundings of her bedroom and noticed that a familiar song was playing on the radio. He looked up at his reflection in the tall mirror on the wall in front of him and a wicked smile played on his lips as he ran fingers through his dark, wavy hair.
Ahh, I love this song.
Nonchalantly, he stretched to turn up the dial and chuckled at the irony. Captain and Tennille’s hit single, ‘Love Will Keep Us Together’ was playing.
Chapter Four
“Can you believe there was another murder last night?” Ronnie asked, gazing out the large picture window of the scenic restaurant. “I think barhopping with the girls during
happy hour
might be coming to an end,” he said in a firm tone to Katie.
In disbelief, Lexi glared at her sister across the table. “Why didn’t you say something?”
Katie lowered the menu to meet her eyes. “The excitement about your new job was so much fun that I didn’t want to ruin the moment.”
Leaning in toward Lexi, Rich whispered, “No one saw his victim leave the bar. She was there one minute and gone the next,” he added with a snap of his fingers.
“Jesus.”
He shrugged and stirred the ice in his Harvey Wallbanger. “I’m not trying to scare you, just stating a fact. The gruesome reports were all over the news today. This guy has definitely become a local headliner.”
“Can we change the subject, please? My sister landed a great job at the hospital, and we’re supposed to be celebrating.”
“Congratulations are in order. Welcome to Pompano, kiddo!” Ronnie exclaimed, raising his glass.
After everyone cheered and clinked glasses, Rich took a large gulp of his icy drink. “I think you’ll like it in our neck of the woods, Lexi. You just have to pick your friends carefully. Some of the women in this town aren’t so choosy,” he said, tilting his head toward the beautiful view of the ocean.
“Could we
welcome
my sister into town, not scare her
out of it
?”
“I hope you’re all ready to order because our lovely waitress is heading in this direction,” Ronnie warned as a young woman advanced toward them. “I hear if you aren’t prepared the first time she approaches, she’ll stab you with a fork,” he joked as everyone chuckled.
“You’re so funny, I almost laughed,” their server answered with a smirk, her hand firmly planted on a hip.
“We have a new friend who just relocated here, and I’m trying to lighten things up. The reports on the news haven’t been so inviting to newcomers—especially young women.”
“Welcome to our little beach town,” she said before drawing in a long breath. “Just be careful who you go out with. There are a lot of handsome men in this town, but some of them aren’t so nice.”
Lexi blinked twice. “You sound like the voice of experience.”
“Just call it my tip of the day,” the waitress continued, her piercing blue eyes meeting Rich’s dark brown ones. “Would y’all like to hear the specials?”

“I’m feeling a little guilty leaving my sister alone with your brother,” Katie said as Ronnie unlocked and pushed open his apartment door.
“She seemed perfectly fine with the idea of listening to some albums over at his place.” Ronnie shrugged and cocked an eyebrow. “Rich has a better sound system than I do. Although I have a much better set of tools than he does,” he joked, moving to nuzzle her ear.
Turning her around, his lips immediately started exploring her soft mouth while agile fingers unbuttoned Katie’s shirt and twisted her firm nipple as she slid her palm over the hard bulge that tented his khakis.
“Maybe we should continue this where we’ll be more comfortable,” he suggested in a heady voice, leading her by the hand into his bedroom.
After bending down to remove her sandals, he eased her onto the mattress and kissed down the center of her belly, his lips teasing across the top of her low panty line. With both thumbs hooked onto the sides of her skirt and underpants, he tugged both down together and over her feet, depositing them in a pile on the floor. Katie squirmed with delight as the soft pad of his index finger traced up and down the slit of her pussy, which was already slick and swollen.
“So what will relax my girlfriend tonight?” he asked while tenderly bending her knees to kiss the inside of her velvety thighs. She didn’t answer, but tried to shimmy out of her shirt in an attempt to remove the fabric that still hung on her body.
Wearing a satisfied smile, he parted her legs wider and circled her silky cunny with his fingers while she watched as he bent his head down for a little taste, gently separating her folds with his smooth, wet tongue. Around and around with tenderness, he lapped up her juices, licking her over and over, flicking her enlivened, hard bud. Katie’s eyes closed slightly as she felt his finger slide inside her and she clenched tight around it, her hips arching upward to meet the deep-seated sensation.
“Ronnie, I think I’m going to come…”
“But I haven’t had dessert yet…” Flipping her over onto her tummy, he expertly used his tongue and took his sweet time, deliberately licking the sensitive area up and down the seam of her quivering behind. As if she could take much more, he motioned for her to get up on all fours and guided her head and shoulders down onto the bed. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw him take his pants off and felt the tip of his finger tickle the entrance of her pussy. Without warning, a sharp
slap
connected onto her behind.
“Oww, what was that for?”
Another quick swat to her fluttering buttocks was administered as she tried to wiggle away the pain, swaying from side to side. “Are you
spanking
me?” she asked, her face flushed with desire.
“It certainly would seem that way, sweetie,” he said, before the distinct sound of lubricant spurting from a tube was heard. The cool lube was a welcome feeling, followed by his finger exploring her wrinkled, tight hole. “Does my bad girl like being spanked?”
“Oh, God. Ronnie…” But there was no response, only the feeling of his slick digit entering and exiting her behind.
“Since your little bottom has been waving all night, I thought you might want something long inside it,” he said, his voice deep and wanton.
Katie knew that was exactly what she wanted, but was too ashamed to answer.
“Don’t be embarrassed. You want me to fuck you while my finger is in your ass, don’t you?” he whispered in her ear.
“Oh, God,” she whined, nodding.
Teasing her clit with the swollen tip of his cock, he positioned himself at her soaking wet cunny. “Ask me, Katie. Ask me to fuck you hard and I will,” he growled in a low-pitched, commanding voice as he started to slide himself into her saturated cunt. But she didn’t answer.
“I’m waiting,” he whispered.
“Please don’t stop. Please fuck me and don’t stop!”
As she begged and pleaded, he pumped his finger in and out of her tight crinkled hole at the same time he drove deep and hard into her pussy, her bum rising up to meet each thrust.
“Ronnie… Oh, God, Ronnie!” The pleasure and pain came strong and at once as she exploded with such intensity that it actually was painful. While he pulsated wildly, creating waves of vibrations inside her dark channel, uncontrollable laughter rolled out of her mouth before he slowly exited and they tumbled over.
“Oh, my God, I’ve never felt anything like that before.”
“Are you still thinking about shacking up with me?”
“Jesus, Ronnie, I’d love to—but Lexi just moved in.”
“I know, but we’re a stone’s throw from your apartment…”
“Let’s wait and see if my sister likes her new job first, okay?”
“Of course.”
“Ronnie?” she asked, pulling back to look into his eyes.
“Hmm?”
“Did Rich date the waitress that served us tonight?”
He grinned and sighed. “There aren’t too many young women in this town my brother hasn’t dated.”
She pursed her lips and sighed. “Maybe I ought to go back to my apartment and see if she’s home yet.”
“I assure you, Rich isn’t dangerous—he’s just a
serial dater
.”
Katie’s brows knit together. “Was that news supposed to be comforting?”
“Okay, let’s get dressed. I’ll walk you home.”

“I didn’t expect you to sleep here tonight,” Lexi said, sitting up in the bed.
“Tomorrow is a work day, remember? Besides, I wanted to make sure you got home okay.”
Lexi angled her head. “You were afraid to leave me alone with him, weren’t you?”
“I wasn’t worried, just concerned. You are my little sister, after all.”
“Well, as you see, I’m just fine. Although he seemed a little strange at first, Rich was the perfect gentleman. And he loves the same kind of music that we do. You should see all the albums he owns, and his sound system is out of sight!”
“Do you think anything could work out between you two?”
“That would be convenient since you’re dating his brother, but I’m really not that attracted to him.” Lexi blew out an exasperated breath and watched as her sister got undressed. “Have you heard from Dad lately?”
“No. I think he’s got a new woman hanging onto his arm, so we probably aren’t the first thing on his mind. Hey, try not to obsess about our father tonight. I don’t want you losing any sleep over that man. You have a big day tomorrow and need to be fresh and alert.”
“I hate to remind you, but we’ve never been the first or the last thing on his mind,” she said, resting her head against the pillow.
Chapter Five
“What do you think, sis?” Lexi asked, twirling in front of the full-length bedroom mirror.
“You look like all the other secretaries in the hospital with your black polyester slacks and white double-knit jacket… just a lot prettier.”
“Should I wear my hair down or in a ponytail?”
“I would pull it back, so it stays out of your way. Now can we get going, so you’re not late for your first night at work?”
“Just a minute, let me put on some lipstick.”
Katie’s lips thinned as she shook her keys. “Alexa, can’t you put it on in the car?”
“All right, I’m coming, I’m coming,” Lexi said with a sigh, grabbing her purse from the small kitchenette table. “And thanks for driving me.”
“There will be no walking alone at night, until that psycho is caught.”
* * *
Lexi nonchalantly waved as her sister drove away.
God, I feel like a little kid on her first day at school.
Not wanting to be late, she immediately turned on her heels, picked up the pace, and bolted through the front doors. Looking to the right and left at all the signage, she made a mad dash down the corridor and slid to a stop on the freshly mopped floor at the entrance of the ER department. After brushing the blond bangs from her eyes, she dramatically composed herself, straightened her jacket, and confidently made an entrance. It was hard to imagine what working in a department such as this would be like and she concluded that the doctors and nurses probably raced around, barking out orders while patients were carted from one station to another.
Rounding the corner, she was a little surprised at what she saw. Sitting at a large arcing desk were two nurses and a doctor calmly engaged in conversation. As Lexi hesitantly approached them, one of the nurses stood to greet her.
“You must be the new girl.”
“I’m Lexi Roberts and have no idea what I’m supposed to be doing here,” she said, the words quickly exiting from her nervous lips.
The attractive nurse’s eyes twinkled. “Well, of course you don’t, and it’s our job to see that you’re properly oriented. I’m Joanne Hurrell, and that’s Donna Rice who just answered the phone.”
Lexi immediately read their name tags, noticing that they were both RNs and Donna was the head nurse in charge. “Over here on my right, we have the prestigious Dr. Rodriquez.” Joanne cupped her mouth and whispered, “He’s God’s gift to medicine and will remind you in case you ever forget.” Dr. Rodriquez obviously heard that crack and stopped to look up with a smile while signing some papers. “Dr. Brownell is also here tonight, but he’s in his office.” Joanne angled her head toward the back and winked. “Tread lightly with him. He’s not always in the best of moods.”
Donna Rice hung up the phone and leaned back in the swivel chair. “You’re in luck, Lexi. So far, it’s starting out as a quiet night, but that can change at any moment. Joanne will give you a tour of the place, and then she’ll go over a few things.”
From the brief time they spent together, Joanne made it clear that most of the current ER staff had been on the job for quite a few years. When they returned to the front desk, she rolled out a padded swivel chair.
“Unfortunately, your job doesn’t come with an instruction manual to study, and our last secretary didn’t stick around to train you. So, you’ll have to jump in with both feet and learn as you go.”
