We decided to get ready for the party at Lucy’s place. Because she was a stripper and not a club girl, she had her own house not too far from the clubhouse. Reinforcements had been called in for the night because of the amount of extra Brothers in the house. There were extra girls from X-rated coming in as well. It was a club rule that the Brothers were not allowed to sleep with the strippers. Brothers by Blood had strict feelings about keeping business and pleasure separated. But for tonight, they had all been given a free ‘anything goes’ pass. I knew Lucy and some of the girls were itching to get their hands on the men.

There were close to twenty Brothers in attendance at the club and only seven club girls, with around the same amount of strippers. Shit was going to get a bit crazy and I couldn’t wait.

Lucy leaned against the door frame of her room where I was getting dressed. “Girl, you look hot!”

I smacked my now bright red lips together before turning to her with a bright smile. I’d chosen a deep red pleated pleather skirt that was short, but covered just enough to be super sexy. I topped it with a black sequin top that tied around my neck and dipped low in the back. I’d never been a big fan of the hooker type heels that strippers wore, so I’d paired my outfit with a sexy stiletto ankle boot.

“A couple of your girls just got here.”

I raised a brow. “Who?”

“Lou, Missy and Satan AKA Dana.” She rolled her eyes. The girls from X-Rated weren’t exactly Dana’s biggest fans either. Dana had this high and mighty attitude about her and liked to act like she was better than Lucy and the other girls. She’d picked fights with them more than once and was on her last legs with Optimus. Unfortunately, there were actually a few guys who enjoyed her company
and had stuck up for her in order to keep her around. Sometimes I wondered about those men, a few too many drugs rotting their brains.

“Speak of the devil,” she groaned quietly. Dana pushed through the doorway, shoving Lucy out of the way. “Bitch, this is
my
house. We ain’t at the club yet so you better watch yourself.”

Lucy steeled her with a look before turning and walking back down the hall where I could hear all the other girls laughing and chatting. Dana scoffed and turned to the floor length mirror, eyeing herself with a devilish smirk.

“So this guy who’s taking over the Troy chapter, you know what his name is?” she asked, leaning forward and adjusting her breasts under the small black boob tube top she was wearing. It was almost like she had taken two pieces of material and wrapped one around her tits and the other around her ass and decided to call it an outfit.

Wow, classy.

“No, I’ve never met him before.”

She continued to study herself, turning to check out her own ass. A giggle almost fell from my mouth. Bitch looked fifty shades of ridiculous. Even as a club girl I liked to hold myself with a bit of respect. That meant being sexy without basically flaunting my pussy and ass right in front of the men’s faces. But I guess some men liked their girls easy.

She shrugged. “I heard he doesn’t have an Old Lady.”

Now I saw where this was going and this time I couldn’t help but laugh, earning me a sharp glare from the she-devil. “And I’m pretty sure that will still be true in four days when they ride out,” I threw over my shoulder as I left her standing in the room, admiring her assets. “Bitch is crazy,” I muttered to myself.

It was after 9:00 p.m. by the time Slider called to tell us we were needed. The boys were going into Church so they could congratulate the new chapter president in a more official way and we needed to be there for when they got out.

Bikes lined the clubhouse carpark. Sparkling chrome reflecting in the headlights of the car as we pulled past the prospects standing guard at the steel gates. All in all the club had three new prospects. Caleb was the closest to getting his patch, having been with the club for a little over a year. The other two had joined more recently and would have to wait a little longer. Caleb was the only one I was close to since his main job was manning the bar, which meant we had to interact more. He was an awesome bartender and sometimes I had to wonder whether he had missed his calling. He was a sweet kid who had been dealt a really shitty hand. He ended up coming round with one of the club kids he had met at school and before I knew it he was eighteen and wearing a prospect patch on his back.

I grinned as I stepped from the car and took in the sight in front of me. I admired the perfectly positioned bikes, like a line of soldiers standing at attention.

“Let’s go, girl. I need a drink,” Chelsea said, pulling my hand toward the doors that opened onto the patio. One bike, in particular, caught my eye. It had the Brothers by Blood symbol on its tank – two hands reaching toward each other and gripping the opposite hands wrist. It was gorgeously done, the pinstriping completely unflawed. While all the men were required to get the club symbol and name tattooed on their bodies when they were officially patched in, having the symbol on a man’s bike was reserved for the club presidents only.

I knew this wasn’t Optimus’ bike, so I gathered it belonged to the new Troy chapter president. I tried to slow Chelsea’s determined pull, taking a moment to scan the beautiful beast. I didn’t know much about bikes, the men had attempted to teach us some things, but it just wasn’t my forte. What I did know was that this machine was sexy, smooth and incredibly beautiful. I could only hope the man reflected his bike.

The main room was entirely void of men except for Caleb, who was standing in his regular position behind the bar. The girls all crowded around, flirting and giggling with him while he filled each of their orders. Caleb was a gorgeous looking boy, he had a baby face that caused all the girls to melt, and his hair was long and fell around his face sort of like an old-school
Justin Bieber
style. At only nineteen, he was tall and his body was already becoming well defined. All the Brothers were expected to keep in shape. The clubhouse had its own gym which included a lot of boxing gear, a ring, a couple treadmills and a few other machines that I wouldn’t have a clue how to use. With Leo, a previous underground fighter as his sponsor, Caleb was being taught by the best of the best and it was no wonder he was looking so good.

When I had a beer, I took a seat on the edge of the stage. I watched Lucy and a few of her girls practice their moves at the pole. They were sexy and sultry and their movements were fluid like water.

“Harmony, come have a try,” Kat called with a come-on gesture. Kat wasn’t just a stripper, she was
the
stripper – X-Rated’s headliner. She was a sweet girl, stripping to get through college and support her two-year-old little boy. Chelsea gave me a little shove and I sighed, walking around and up the side steps to the stage.

“Are you girls looking to embarrass me?” I groaned.

“I
know
you know how to do this, Harm. Don’t act all innocent!” Lucy laughed. I shot a glare at her. She and Chelsea were the only ones I’d confided in that I had taken pole dancing lessons during my last year of high school when I thought I was getting a little pudgy. I’d done them for fitness and to lose weight. It was an amazing workout and it was no wonder the girls from X-Rated all had kick-ass figures.

“You know how to dance?” Kat inquired, her smile slowly growing wider.

I shrugged. “A little, I guess.”

“Throw on ‘Every Breath You Take’ by Chase Holfelder,” Lucy called to one of the girls who was controlling the iPod that was plugged into the stereo. I kicked off my heels. I’d never done this in anything other than flats and I wasn’t willing to risk a broken ankle tonight.

The music started. It was one of my favorite songs, but a dark and haunting version of it. My body felt the slow beat and my hips began to sway as I gripped the pole with both hands. I held on tightly as I twirled around it, my feet not yet leaving the floor. As the beat became more prominent, I began to dramatize my movements, flicking my head back and dropping to the ground. I blocked out the other noise in the room, trying to smother the butterflies that turned in my stomach.

As the rise of the chorus began to beat deeply, I swung around the pole, lifting both my legs and trapping the pole between my thighs. My body continued to circle it and I curled my body in on itself as I slipped closer to the ground. Placing my feet under my body at the last minute, I swayed my way back up the pole seductively.

I had no amazing upside down splits or anything, but I managed to perform the few small moves that I knew without failing miserably. My body stayed smooth, moving in perfect time with the music which was incredibly sexy with its minor chords and slow rhythm.

By the time the music stopped the room was completely silent. I blushed and looked up, only to be met with the deepest darkest blue eyes I’d ever seen.

They reminded me of the color the sky went just before a storm struck.

That should have been my first warning.

They watched me with wonder and curiosity beneath a very stern brow. Electricity shot through my body and my limbs began to tingle and shiver under the man’s studying gaze. I took a step back from the pole, letting myself breathe in deeply, my lungs constricting from the physical strain I’d placed on my body. The room burst into applause and catcalls, and I was now very aware of the fifteen to twenty Brothers crowding the space.

I blushed furiously, reluctantly averting my eyes from the beautiful man who stood front and center at the foot of the stage. I didn’t know who he was, but I could feel him still watching me as I collected my shoes. I took a moment, sculling my beer and keeping my back turned. Soon the room was filled with chatter again, I took it as safe to move.

When I risked a quick glance over my shoulder, the room was bustling with activity and music, the stunning blue eyes were gone.

Chelsea came up beside me as I walked down the stairs. I scanned the room seeing several men I didn’t recognize, but no soul-searching eyes.

“Optimus wants to see us before shit gets crazy,” she said.
‘I told you so’
very much present in her tone.

I laughed. “Lead the way.”

We walked down the slim hallway. The small rooms down this end of the building had been offices reserved for the hotel managers and head staff. There was even a large safe located in Optimus’ office.

Chelsea knocked on the door. I could hear deep voices coming from behind it and I wondered who Optimus might have in there with him.

“Come in,” he called, his voiced echoed loudly.

Chelsea pushed the door open and I followed in close behind her. Optimus reclined in his large leather office chair. He had his hands linked behind his head in a relaxed manner, but his signature scowl was ever present on his face. It was when I moved to the side of Chelsea that my eyes found the man propped up against the front of the desk, his arms folded across the front his chest. His biceps stretched mouth-wateringly against his white shirt and his eyes once again studying me like I was a puzzle piece that didn’t quite fit.

“Girls, this is Kit. Troy’s new chapter President.”

Chelsea and I both dipped our heads in a nod toward him which is a respectful way to acknowledge someone important in the biker world. He gave a small chin lift in acknowledgment, but his eyes remained focused on me, not even blinking in Chelsea’s direction.

Optimus leaned forward and tapped his knuckles on the wooden desk. “Harmony. I couldn’t get a hold of you after I ripped the guy on the phone another asshole.”

I screwed up my nose. “Yeah. The douchebag completely totaled my phone.”

His eyebrow raised curiously. “Really?”

“Mhmm. He hung up on you by slamming it face first onto the table we were sitting at. Then if that wasn’t dramatic enough he threw it at the fucking wall,” Chelsea explained. I tried to keep my eyes focused on Optimus, but they continued to drift toward Kit.

Kit was a magnificent specimen of a man. His hair was short but just long enough for me to grip between the spaces of my fingers if I ran them through it. He had the lightest beard that shaded his jaw and just above his deliciously full lips. His shoulders and chest were wide beneath his cut but led down to a trim waist and powerful legs.

“He say anything to you?” Kit asked, his voice so deep I could almost feel the vibrations in my chest. There was also the slightest accent present that made him even more intriguing.

“Uhh…yeah.” I racked my brains, trying to think about the threats that the suited man had thrown at us that afternoon. “Um, when I attempted to give him the phone he told me I needed to learn my place. And then after he had talked to you he said we needed to learn a lesson in behavior and that it would come.”

“And that he would
‘conduct it personally,'
” Chelsea added, using her fingers to quote the man.

Kit glanced over his shoulder at Optimus, who met his eyes with a raised brow. I frowned. Sure I’d been a little frightened at the time, but guys made pathetic threats all the time when they didn’t get their own way. It was like a defense mechanism in some men.

“You said he looked pretty well off?” Optimus inquired, tapping his fingers on the table.

I nodded. “Hell yeah. That wasn’t just a rental suit. My mom’s friend owns like a high-class bridal hire place. I worked there one summer when I was at high school. It was the real deal, I think maybe Armani.”

“And those shoes. Jesus! I could see my face in them, they were so damn shiny,” Chelsea added dramatically causing me to giggle.

“You gotta leave the compound over the next couple days?” Kit asked, pushing off the desk and standing with his feet shoulder width apart and returning his arms to their previously folded position.

“We both have classes almost every day this week. The semester is coming to an end and we both have tests.”

“Put someone on them,” he said sternly and Optimus’ head bobbed in agreement.

“Caleb. He can go with you to classes and bring you home.”

Chel and I looked at each other, our faces both resembling confusion. It wasn’t unheard of to have a prospect follow a club girl if there were some kind of grave danger or threat to the club. But this seemed a little overkill.

“Come on, Optimus. It honestly wasn’t that bad. He made some idle threats and threw his toys outta the cot like a child who didn’t get his way. But having a tail, isn’t that a bit extreme?” I tried to explain my feelings in the most respectful way possible without it sounding like I was calling him an idiot for being so dramatic.

“You are the property of the club, aren’t you?” Optimus gritted, obviously taking offense to what I’d said. I caught a small smirk form on Kit’s lips.

Knowing I should have kept my mouth shut and followed orders, I changed my tact. Opting for a little bit of greasing. “Yes. We are, Prez.”

His shoulders loosened but only a smidge. “We protect what’s ours. You know this. I like you Harmony, you’ve been here a long time.” He stuck me with a hard glare. “But don’t question my decisions.”

“Yes, sir.”

I felt like a small child being scolded. It didn’t happen often and it didn’t feel right at all. The smirk remained on Kit’s face, maybe even growing a little bigger as he watched my obedience. Chelsea, on the other hand, I caught her smile out of the corner of my eye. She knew it took a lot for me to shut my mouth and she was evidently amused at the fact that I’d backed down. I followed rules well. I understood that the rules of the MC were there for a reason and a lot of the time it was to keep people safe. But that didn’t mean I was scared to voice my opinion when I thought it was required or that I didn’t believe in standing up for myself when I thought something was wrong.

Unfortunately for Chelsea, Optimus also noticed her amused face.

“Kit, will you take Harm back to the party. Go be with your boys.” He turned to eye Chelsea whose shoulders straightened like she had been jabbed with a cow prod. “You stay here.”

Kit walked toward me, taking me by the elbow and leading me out the door. It was my turn to smile knowing that Chelsea was in for a good ear bashing from our president. If she was lucky, maybe even a spanking for being naughty.

Kit led me down the hallway, his hand firmly fixed to my arm. I wanted to make some comment about how I knew my way around the clubhouse and didn’t need a leash. But after Optimus already having a go at me about talking back, I knew I probably shouldn’t piss off another Club President.

I could hear the sounds of the party already raging and was in serious need of another drink. Kit, on the other hand, had other thoughts and before we reached the doors to the main room I was promptly pushed against the wall. It wasn’t hard enough to hurt but gave me one hell of a fright. My hands instantly went to his chest. Rock fucking hard.

He pushed against me, holding me captive with his body and his palms flat against the wall on either side of my head. My breathing quickened and my heart began to race. I didn’t know what I was feeling. Usually when this happened with the men, I would get excited knowing what was to come next. But with Kit I had feelings stirring inside me that had yet to surface. Not just want, but a sense of need. I had no idea what to expect from him and the idea of that was thrilling.

“You dance.” His words were formed as a statement, not a question.

I shook my head. My movements were jerking, my mind clouded by his closeness. “No…not really.”

His hand moved from the wall and he cupped my chin. His thumb reached up and dragged over my lips, pulling my lower one with it as it retreated. A familiar tingling started at the bottom of my stomach and I knew I was wetter than ever. I pleaded in my head for him to lift me up so I could wrap my legs around his slim waist as he drove his cock in and out of me. The thought was torturous. My thighs had a mind of their own, wiggling around in order to gain some sort of friction between my legs.

“You’re not a stripper?” he asked with a slight tilt of his head. I watched his face as his eyes roamed me, taking in every inch of my body that they could reach.

“No, I’m not a stripper. I’m a club girl.” He stepped back, but only enough to allow me to breathe again.

“You’re a club girl?”

I nodded. “Yes. I’ve been with the club for a while now.”

He seemed lost in his thoughts for a moment, his mood doing a complete one-eighty from the intense sexual vibe he was giving off a moment ago.

“For now, you’re with me.” He gripped my chin in a tight hold, forcing our eyes to meet. “You don’t move from my side tonight.”

I nodded. I wasn’t objecting to the chance of finding out what this man had hidden underneath his cut and jeans. My body was already craving his touch, by the end of the night I knew the spark that had been lit was going to blow.

He flicked his head in the direction of the bustling room and I slid from the small space between him and the wall and began walking toward the sounds of Metallica. I could feel his body moving with me without even having to look over my shoulder. His presence completely engulfing me.

As we walked through the door, I could see the party was in full swing. There were strippers on the stage and men from both chapters sitting on couches watching them while they relaxed and shot the shit with their Brothers.

There were some men playing poker, girls draped across their laps, giggling and flirting shamelessly. Others played pool while a few just sat at the bar, enjoying the chance to relax after a long day of behaving themselves and watching their language around the family.

Kit wrapped a rough hand around mine and led me to the bar. He prompted me to sit on the open bar stool, standing at my back and placing his hands on the bar either side of me. I was beginning to think this man had something about control, needing to pin me down every chance he got.

His spiky beard tickled the side of my face as he leaned into me. “Beer.” His breath was warm against my cheek and the smell of cool mint chewing gum wafted over me. God. Even his breath smelled incredible.

“Caleb! Can we grab two beers?”

Caleb looked over at me from down the bar with a smile. His eyes widened as he saw the man standing at my back and rushed over, pulling two beers and popping the caps.

“Here you go, Harmz.”

“Thanks, hun,” I said with a smile while Kit merely raised his drink in a cheers motion.

“Hey, Prez. You disappeared after Church, everything good?”

Kit uncaged me and I swiveled my chair around to find another very handsome man standing behind me. His hair was blond and longer than Kit’s with it almost hanging in his eyes. His body shape was very similar, it was what was attached to his body that made me screw up my nose.

Dana was plastered to the dude’s side like a leech and she was eyeing me with apparent disdain. I smiled knowing it was because of Kit who was now leaning back against the bar with his arm stretched out behind me.

“Yeah man, we’re good. A couple of Optimus’ girls had an issue with a guy in town this afternoon. Putting a man on them for a bit in case something comes of it,” Kit explained casually. His voice seemingly relaxed for the first time since he’d spoken in Optimus’ office. “Harmony, this is my best friend and my Sargent at Arms, Tally. Tally, this is Harmony.”

I reached out and shook his hand. He offered me a great smile which lit up the room. I saw Dana look up at Tally with a smile, apparently expecting an introduction also. When it never came, she slumped a little but kept her grip on his body. Tally to Kit must’ve been like what Blizzard was to Optimus. Their personalities the complete opposite, but balancing each other out perfectly.

A thought clicked in my head and I nearly spit my beer out, while trying to contain my laughter. They all looked at me strangely. The laughter finally broke free after I’d choked on half a mouthful of my drink.

Kit bumped me with his hip, catching my attention. “You gonna share with the group?”

I cleared my throat. “Was just thinking about how these two match.” I gestured between Tally and Dani. “Tally and Ho.” I was barely able to get the words out before another giggle bubbled to the surface. I knew I could get in trouble for somewhat insulting a Brother. But that shit was just too funny to keep in. I felt relief when I looked to my side to find a genuine smile broken through Kit’s previously stern expression. Laughter burst from Tally’s mouth and he held out a fist. I didn’t hesitate in bumping it with my own.
