Finally we were ready. We each received our license and went back to the dealership to buy a car from the same sales-man. We walked in and I swear he wanted to run. I always gave him points for having the courage to face Aran again. In the end we walked out with six brand new cars and the sales man made employee of the year. Before Aran drove away he looked at the guy and said, ‘Isn’t it amazing what courage will get you?’

Ever since then we have been adding cars to our collection. I’m waiting for one of my brothers to say ‘does anyone think we need a plane?’

Tori laughed as they pulled into Station Square. Hearing a little of what happened to him on earth made her feel closer.

“I love coming here although it’s been a long time since the last time.”

“I hear they have a great seafood place here and thought you would like it.”

“You’re right they do.” She turned to wink at him. “I can’t wait to wrap my lips around some crab legs.”

Her tongue licking her lips had Hale moaning.

“Sounds like you want seafood too.”

“Tori, do you know what teases get?”

“Good food?”

“I was thinking more about pushing you on the swing set.”

“Oh, whose being a tease now?” Her lips quivered she would swing with Hale whenever he wanted.

Hale pulled the car into the lot and took her hands as they made their way to the restaurant.

“It’s not Dante’s, but the food smells so good,” Tori said as they took a seat.

“Hale, I love seafood.”

“I know.”

“How do you know?”

“I watched you as you ate your lunch at Dante’s. You face lit up when Julian brought it out. You savored each bite like it would be your last and you looked at your plate with regret when you were finished.”

“Wow, I was that easy to read?”

“I had the impression you hadn’t eaten in a while.”

She dropped her eyes not wanting to talk about the financial difficulties she had run into.

“So what other things have you learned about me?”

The waitress walked over to their table before he could answer.

“Welcome to the Crab Shack. Can I get you something to drink?” she asked as she handed each of them a menu.

“I will take a lemonade,” Hale said, giving the waitress a smile.

“I’ll have the same,” Tori said, feeling a slight tightness in her body.

“I know you’re honest. You love chocolate and most things dessert. You snore at night…”

“No, I don’t.”

“Yes, you do.” Hale made a snorting noise. “I think it’s adorable.”

She simply grumbled, he had it bad.

“You’re out spoken, passionate and creative. I love the way you think, it’s outside the box. You’re a tad bit naïve, you honestly think if you run away everything will be ok. I also know I like all the different sides of you.”

“What do you know about me?”

What did she know about him? There was the obvious stuff, he was fine as hell. He was great in bed for a man whose first time was her, but that wasn’t what he was asking her. Did she know him?

“I know you have a quiet power, it’s something you don’t flaunt but it’s there. I know you have stayed in the background while your older brothers have lived more in the spotlight. I know you check on me at times even though you know I am safely in the house. You’re brilliant and creative. You love lemonade and have a love hate relationship with chocolate. You can take care of yourself but every time I do something even if it’s the littlest thing to take care of you, you light up inside.”

Tori drawled to halt not wanting to give too much away. She knew she liked the way he made her feel. He cherished her without making her feel fragile. That by itself was worth gold in her book. He would always take care of her and she knew that too. There in lie the problem; she knew all of this so why wasn’t she throwing herself in his arms and begging him to make her his mate?

Could it simply be that she knew the danger wasn’t over and wanted to spare him any pain if anything happened to her?

The approaching waitress save her from answering.

“Here’s your lemonades.”

“Thanks, Linda.” Tori plucked her name off of her name tag with one glance.

“Have you decided what you want to eat?”

Was Hale on the menu? “I want a bucket of crab legs with a side of fries and an ear of corn.”

Linda turned to Hale, “What can I get you?”

“I’m to also take a bucket of crab legs, but I also want lobster special you can pair them both with an ear of corn and a side of fries.”

“My mom always said a big strapping man had to eat.” Linda cast Hale one last look of appreciation before she walked away.

Easy Tori, she whispered to herself as she uncurled her fingers. Scratching out the pretty blue eyes of the waitress wouldn’t be the right thing to do.

“I just learned one more thing about you, Tori.”

“What’s that?”

“You’re possessive.”

“I don’t share, Hale, is that a problem?”

“No, I don’t share either.”

“Actually that’s not true, Hale. You do share.”

He leaned into the table to hear what she had to say.

“You share your lobster with me.”

“And what do I get if I share my succulent lobster with you?”

“Hmm let’s see.” Tori slid her foot out of her shoe and allowed it to walk up Hale’s leg until she was at his thigh. “Well for lobster I might do this.”

She slid a little further down in the chair walking her foot up his thigh until she met the bulge at the apex of his legs. Taking her foot she caressed him as a low growl slid from between his lips.

“Tori,” he hissed.

“Yes, Hale.”

She pushed down on his thick bulge causing him to catch the table. He crushed the edge of the table. Damn he’s strong, she thought with an internal giggle and pressed down on him again. She kept him on edge until the waitress brought the food. Tori was sure the flush on his face was enough to let Linda know what she was doing to him. With a grin of satisfaction Tori sat back in her chair.

Her mouth gaped open after Linda left. It just hit her she really was possessive. How would she give him up if she decided to leave?

Chapter Twenty

“I love to come here and look at the water play with the music,” Tori sighed looking at the lights.

They had finished their meal and walked outside where there was long fountain of dancing water, it had to be around eight feet long. The water literally danced to the music in one beautiful choreographed scene. There were lights all through it making it as beautiful as any fireworks display.

Hale took her hand and led her to one of the benches that faced the water. Sighing, she leaned her head against him as he wrapped her in his arms fighting the chill of the night. The weather was changing and the river beyond the fountain was bringing the cold in sooner than she would have liked.

“Do you send a lot of time here?” Tori asked.

“No, but I am always amazed at how beautiful this scene is.”

Hale ran his hands along her arms warming her up. She slid over closer to him. The music along with the dancing water and the lights setting a mood she didn’t want to ignore.

“Hale?”

He reached over and kissed her. His lips slid against hers asking for entry. Throwing caution to the wind and not caring who might see her, she let him in. Moaning as his tongue ran across her, dueling with her, making her sigh in need.

“Tori, you make every sense come alive. I find myself wanting to touch you even though I know you need time.”

“I don’t know if I need time, but I definitely need you.”

He stood bringing her to her feet with him. She threw one more look at the fountain and promised herself she would come back. Tonight the water couldn’t give her what she needed, but Hale could.

The walk to the car was silent. They held hands like lovers and even traded the occasional smile that spoke of secrets.

The thoughts in Tori’s head chased each other wearing dark cloaks as if they were hiding from her. Her desperate need to touch Hale combined with thoughts that whispered in the dark was driving her crazy.

Opting for a chance at sanity, she watched the headlights as the car flew over the empty road. Hale took the back roads to his home avoiding any traffic that may have still been on the streets.

“Tori.”

“Don’t think, Hale. Don’t ask yourself how we can be insanely attracted to each other. Some fires burn bright before they fizzle out of existence. It’s just a fact of life.”

“Do you think that is what this is? That we are some random fire coming together and tomorrow there’ll be nothing.”

Hell, no. What she thought was every minute she spent with him was one minute closer to her giving in and staying with him forever. Every minute around him put him in more jeopardy. Sure she saw the tainted created and understood he wanted her dead. Just what she needed to be on another hit list, but he didn’t need to be caught up in her drama.

He saved you, whispered her inner voice; at times she couldn’t figure out if that voice was friend or foe. Should we return the favor by putting him in more danger? You know whoever is hunting us won’t stop just because John is dead. She assumed he was dead, although he was definitely alive when Hale turned him over to Dante.

“I don’t know what this is Hale, but it’s more than a random meeting or some fantasy that will only last the night.”

She placed her hand on his thigh, she would figure out the rest of her life tomorrow; tonight she had plans. She leaned over and whispered in his ear something she might like to try. He brought the car to a sudden stop just off the road behind a couple of trees.

“Come here, Tori.”

His voice had deepened and thickened slightly with an accent she couldn’t pin point. Alien, her mind whispered as she slid closer to him.

“Did you need something?”

“Only you.”

He leaned over to kiss her allowing his hand to reach down and cup one of her delightful mounds.

“I love the way your breasts feel in my hands. They fit perfectly.”

Placing her hand on his she pressed down feeling the weight and warmth of his hand on her skin.

Her lips traveled down his throat licking and sucking. “I always wanted to get busy in a car.”

“Tori, you come up with the most interesting ideas.”

“You only think they’re interesting because you weren’t born here. A lot of my fantasies I wanted to act out when I was younger, but didn’t have anyone. Now I’m glad I waited for you to show up.”

She maneuvered herself over to his bucket seat placing her legs on either side of him. Pulling off her shirt and her bra she let her nipples dangle over his mouth like to ripe berries. They were swollen and rosy. The deep harsh sound coming from him made the lips of her pussy pulse in need. With one smooth move, he sucked a nipple in his mouth tugging hard on it.

Incoherent sounds emerged from her as he bit down flooding her with a fire she thought was banked. Spasms of ecstasy went through her body as his other hand came up to pinch her other nipple. Pleasure so intense went through her body and she found herself grinding her lower body against him.

Each time he touched her she became more sensitive. That had never happened to her before. She needed him more now than she did the first time.

“I need you,” she whispered in his ear while she tugged his shirt off.

He slid her back on his lap just enough to be able to reach the button on her pants. The steering wheel was digging in her back, not that she cared. She needed one thing and that was him buried balls deep in her.

She ran her hands up his chest while she bent over to nip at his shoulder. Her fingers stopped to pinch his nipples hard. He bucked up underneath her so she did it again.

She lifted up as he began to tug at her pants and panties. Giving into his frustration he yanked at the pants causing them to come apart at the seams. The two halves slid down her legs. He tugged one more time and brought a red scrap of lace up for her inspection.

“You keep this up I won’t have any clothes.”

“A naked Tori.” He smiled at the thought.

She reached down and undid the button and the zipper on his pants allowing his cock to spring free.

“Mmm, so eager for me.” She reached down and took him in her hand. “I want you too.”

She clutched her hand around him and drew it upward as he let out a hiss at her touch.

“I like to play too.”

He took two of his fingers and put them in his mouth as she watched, her eyes big and her breath coming out in pants. Reaching down, he caught her clit between the two fingers and began to rub it, before pinching it just enough to make her buck with need.

“Tell me what you want, baby.”

“You in me, Hale. I have to feel you now.”

He slid two fingers in her, testing her readiness. “Is that what you need, Tori.”

“Yes…no. You’re teasing me, Hale. I need your cock driving deep inside me, turning my world upside down. I need to feel you going deep, making me want to scream with passion and beg for more.”

He scissored his fingers inside of her while using his other hand to press on her clit bringing her closer to the edge.

“I think this may be enough for you, baby.”

“Please, Hale.” She felt helpless as she shivered over him wanting him to fill her. She stared at him with lust filled eyes as he slid his fingers out of her.

Grasping her by the waist he lifted her until the head of his cock was just touching her entrance. Slowly he lowered her until she could feel the head of him make its way past her pussy lips. She tried to thrust downward, but he held her still. He was in charge of pleasure, that fact made her overly sensitized body kick up another notch. She would burn if he didn’t put out her fire.

He looked her directly in her eyes before dropping her on his thick cock. She cried out as she felt her sheath take every inch he had to give. The feel of him invading her, dragging against the walls of her pussy, had her keening the sweet torture for all to hear.

Gasping for breath, she felt him grasp her waist again lift her and let her go. Black dots swam before her eyes as the sensations tried to overwhelm her. She held on tight enjoying the ride; she refused to miss one moment of this incredible feeling.
