“Who are you?” I said to him as he struck me across the face and I fell into the room. He closed the door behind me as I crawled
across the floor and the lightning lit up the room again as the lights flickered one last time before surrendering to the power outage. I crawled along until I felt his grip on my ankle and I cried out as he jerked on it and I rolled onto my back, kicking at him, but he suddenly crawled on top of me as I struggled and fought him with everything that I had left in me. He punched me in the face once, then twice, and my vision blurred a bit as I felt him slowly open my cloak up to let his hands grab at me. I was mumbling to myself as he cupped my breast in his hand and then he cried out as if someone had hurt him, but no one else was in the room with us. He leaned up and kissed me on the lips as I started to cry and I felt his other hand graze my thigh. I started to beg him to stop.
“Please, just kill me,
” I whispered as the thought of being raped was not something I could accept. I would rather he just kill me and get it over with, if that was his ultimate intention. He then leaned against me and spread my legs as I started to sob. I turned my head and said “Mother” quietly, which surprised me that of all the people I could have had on my mind, in what was probably my final moment, was her. A tear rolled from my eye as he stopped moving and slowly stood up, he paced the room for a moment as I tried to push myself away from him but I was dizzy from the blows to my face and the alcohol that still lingered in my blood.
He
stopped and started to take his cloak off as the lightning lit up the room. I sucked in my breath as he stood there naked, blood running down his chest from a self-inflicted wound, I assume. I watched as he cried out and the lightning lit him up and I saw it. A Dragon, cut into his flesh on his chest. I lifted my eyes to his as he pulled the mask and Cas stood before me.
“No…why!” I screamed at him as the tears flowed from me without any control.
“A mother is God to a child,” he said, as his face contorted and I tried to push myself up. I stumbled and then reached out to him.
“Come to me,
” I said as he shook his head and raised the knife, smacking the end of it against his head a few times as he screamed. He then stopped suddenly and looked to his right, a box sat there and he walked to it as he pointed the knife at me. He stopped and opened it up, pulling a skull from it as well as a gold locket. He turned to me as I shook my head and held my hands up to him.
“Who killed
my mother?” he asked me and I shook my head at him.
“Cas, you
are not well, come to me, please.”
He looked at the skull and then kissed i
t…and I knew then that he knew. He knew everything we had not told them. After years of hiding, he knew who he and his brother truly were. He then ran to me and hit me upside the head with the skull and let it fall to the floor. I cried out as he pulled me up by my throat to stare into his angry eyes. He held the locket up and there she was, the ghost who would haunt me forever and who was now going to exact her revenge upon me.
“Cas.”
“I loved you above all others,” he said, as he suddenly started to cry. I tried to pry his hand from my throat but his grip tightened and I started to rise from the floor a bit as he lifted me from pure adrenaline.

August dragged himself into his father’s room and grabbed the gun. He only paused a moment as he saw Ryan lying on the bed and then ran to him as he saw him move just a tiny bit.
“Father,
” August said. As blood dripped down his forehead, he pushed himself up as he heard Cas start to yell at me down the hallway. He stumbled from the room and leaned against the wall as he used it to help prop him up. He held the gun in one hand as he covered the stab wound on his stomach. He looked down as his vision faded and fought through it as he heard me cry out in pain.
Cas leaned into my face and took the knife to my cheek, he cut me slowly, leaving a small line of blood behind as I
opened my mouth and screamed. It was barely audible, but enough to echo out of the room. Cas then stared at me and shook his head slowly.
August fell against the door and pushed it open as he
saw Cas standing there with his back to him. He held the gun up with what little strength he had left and suddenly the vision shifted and he saw the woman, who had visited him as he lay half dead with Zoey, that of Miko. She held me by the throat. He saw the knife rise and heard Cas speak as if it was an echo.
“Th
e dragon rises,” Cas hissed as he raised the knife and I heard a gunshot from behind us. Cas stopped, dropped the knife and made a small sound in the back of his throat as he started to step back from me. He turned and fell as I looked up to see August standing there, holding the gun as steady as he could, shocked to see his brother before him. I screamed as Cas dropped and the lightning lit the room up like the sun. He mouthed the word “Mother”.
I dropped to my knees and screamed
out his name.
