Robert JA Basilio Jr. is a senior reporter for the
Manila Times
Business Section, writes a weekly Saturday column called Nothing in Particular for the
Times
’ op-ed section, and reviews books fortnightly for the
Times
’ lifestyle section. He is married to Palanca-prize winning poet, Fulbright scholar, and UP English Department assistant professor Conchitina R. Cruz.

They live in Quezon City with a fat, indifferent and lazy cat named Minggoy.

Karl R. De Mesa

Karl R. De Mesa is the author of
News of the Shaman
and
Damaged People -- Tales of the Gothic-Punk
. He works as a journalist, editor and creative of various stripes in almost every media available to man.

He is a fellow of three Philippine National Writers’ Workshops. He’s also worked in TV and made quite a few documentaries. When he gets tired of sitting around he plays guitar for the post-rock band Biscochong Halimaw and the heavy metal, sound art band Gonzo Army.
