His head sank down into her neck to nuzzle her as she tensed waiting for him to speak.

“I never thought about love after Ry was taken. It didn’t matter in my life anymore. I never dreamed of the female I would soul-bond to because she no longer existed in my world.” His teeth scraped against her neck making her shiver with desire.

The attraction between them was off the chart which meant the sex would always be good but she wanted so much more. Maybe she was being greedy, reaching for the brass ring in the center, but her arms stretched anyways wanting it all.

“Then things became so much more complicated the day I found Ry. I knew I had to live for a little while to make sure he healed and found his soul-bonded. You’ll never know the relief I felt when I first met Aviana. I knew they were meant to be together. I knew that soon I would be out of my misery. I should have been glad, ecstatic even, instead I found myself wanting what my brother had, a soul-bond.”

He kissed down her throat until he was at her breast. “I love your breasts, they’re the perfect size.”

He took his hand and cupped one, squeezing before lifting the edge of her shirt and pulling it over her head. His mouth closed over her bra and took her nipple and part of her breast in his mouth sucking hard.

The sexy sound she made had him moving against her as her pleasure went even higher. He raised his head looking at her while she worked with the hooks in the back getting the bra off as fast as she could.

He sat up, removed his shirt, and slid his pants down and then off. One look at him was enough to make her want to table this conversation. Not to be out done, she shimmied out of her skirt and thong. The smile on his lips gave his approval.

His fingers went to her nipple, pinching it and rolling it. He watched intently as it hardened before he sucked it back into his mouth. A moan emerged from him as Taya slipped her hand down to her pussy to rub her clit. He caught her naughty hand and took it away.

“Not yet, sweetness.” He licked her fingers tasting the nectar coating her hand.

“Then one night Selma, God bless that woman, demanded I eat dinner whether I wanted to or not. I wasn’t expecting you when I walked into that kitchen. Every rational thought I had fled. I wanted to amaze you with my brilliance, how prolific I was. Instead my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth and I was amazed when I realized you were seeing me and not my brother.”

He licked the center between her breasts before placing small kisses there. Her moan as she moved her breast closer to his mouth made him feel good.

“Do you like it when I do this to you? Are you thinking of my lips nipping you as I sink deep inside of you? My thick cock sliding against the walls of your hot pusssy?”

A guttural moan left her lips from deep inside as her head moved to acknowledge his words.

“You captured my attention that night,” she whispered, catching his eyes. “I wanted to get to know you better, but I knew if you found out about me and my past you wouldn’t want me. Used goods. That’s why I went out that next day. I needed to know I was strong enough to leave you when I already felt drawn to you.”

He nodded before licking the underside of her breast.

“I understand what you mean.” His voice came out gravelly making her hips punch up in the air. “That night when I kissed you, I was waiting for fireworks because that’s what all the great songs say, but it didn’t happen. I was never more disappointed. When I went to sleep, the sweetness of that kiss wrapped around me, enfolding me in a warmth I have never felt in my whole life. My heart that was so cold, so dead, ached with life when I woke the next morning. I was different but how could I explain it?”

He began to work his way down her stomach, kissing, nipping, and licking. She giggled and moved away from him bringing laughter to them, making the mood lighter and still his lips and hands made love to her, caressing her.

“Now you ask me if I love you and I wonder how to answer. I could say yes, but I want to be honest. What I know of love comes from the way my parents treated each other and then from the way Victor treats Selma. Recently I have really paid attention to how Ry interacts with both Aviana and Mckayla.

“So no, I really don’t know a lot about love. I know my heart practically loses its rhythm when I catch sight of you. All I want to do is spend as much time as possible in your presence. I’ve dreamed of seeing your belly grow big with my child. I’ve imagined what life will be like in a hundred years or two hundred with you by my side. I’ve wondered if one day the two of us will have matching rockers as we watch our great, great, great, ect… grandchildren play. I even think of the makeup sex we will have after we argue and then come to an agreement. All I think of is you. Maybe love is a grand adventure, I’ve heard it described that way. All I can do is think of it in a day to day way. I love you, Taya and I always want you by my side.”

He looked up and flipped a tear of her cheek.

“You’re crying.”

“Happy tears. I love you, Gabe. I just needed to know how you felt about me.”

“I’ll tell you any day, every day, every chance I get. You’re my heart, Taya.” He rolled over to his back and pulled her on top of him.

“I’m on top,” she whispered.

“How did that happen?” he asked with a soft chuckle in his voice.

“Don’t know.” She leaned over and bit his collar bone. He gave a deep growl making her pussy spasm.

Moving across his cock she let him feel her wetness as he was pressed up against her slit.

“My bad girl, trying to make me crazy.”

“Are you crazy for me?” she whispered before taking his nipple into her mouth.

She bit just a little harder than normal. Enough to make his body leave the ground as his hand went out and captured her head holding it down to his poor nipple that was begging for more.

“Again, Sweetness, again.” His rough sounding voice was killing her. She bit the other nipple before rising up allowing his thickness to stand up.

Grabbing it with a hand, she maneuvered herself breaking into laughter as it didn’t go like she planned it in her mind. No one was going to call her the world’s greatest sex kitten. As long as Gabe thought she was a sex kitten she would be all right. His bright eyes looked at her like she could do no wrong, as if every move was planned and he was in awe of her brilliance. She’d let him think that as she…

“Ahh!’ she groaned when he slipped a few inches inside of her. She placed her hands against his chest not wanting to come down to fast. All that pleasure at once may be too much for her.

“I love the way you feel inside of me, Gabe.” She rocked her hips and took a few more inches. “You’re stretching me, making this your pussy while I make your cock mine.”

Again she moved, taking more and more until he pressed tightly within her sheath.

Gabe,” she moaned.

He flipped her and began to move gently at first. Just giving her a little as her tight little snatch opened up around him, wanting, needing more. He pulled out further and dived in deeper. Soon he was pounding into her and she was begging for more.

Her legs came around him, her heels locking as she rode the wave of pleasure that was Gabe.

“Please, please,” became her chant as she felt her body get closer to relief. Nirvana was a place she didn’t know existed but now she could see the bright lights of the city welcoming her home.

Her body shook as streams of pleasure overtook her, while her heart reached for his. A bond she never knew could exist formed between them. She could feel him so easily in her thoughts and in her heart. It was enough to bring tears to her eyes. A scream of pure bliss left her lips but a sigh of complete satisfaction settled in her heart. They were one and always would be.

She felt his pleasure as he spilled into her but the pleasure of the love he felt for her was greater.

Chapter Twenty-Five

She stretched a happy smile on her face with eyes that were brighter than the sun. No matter what happened she could face anything, everything, with Gabe by her side.

“Hi.” His fingers were drawing little designs over her belly making her feel cherished.

“Hi yourself.” She rolled over to hug him, placing sweet kisses along his jaw line. “I guess we should get up and get dressed?”

“Who says? I’m enjoying this time with you.” She laughed and snuggled deeper into his arms.

She placed her head on his chest and listened to the beat of his heart before rising up and looking down into those incredible blue eyes she loved so much.

“We have to get up.” He nodded and helped her to sit before he stood and gathered their clothes.

“Our alone time is over.” His voice was sad even as his eyes were bright as he watched her stand and cloth herself.

“I’m going to make sure to do this as often as possible.”

“Do what?”

“Watch you take off clothes and put them back on.”

She grinned at him, that happy smile on her face becoming a silly happy smile. He did that to her and she loved it.

“I hope you’re dressed because naked or not here I come.” Voyager’s voice bounced around in the open field.

“What do you think his story is?” Taya asked before giving a quick look over her shoulder. “Is he really the spoiled rich kid?”

Gabe shook his head. “I don’t know what he is, but spoiled rich kid isn’t it. He has so much power that I have to admit he scares me a little.”

“That only goes to show that your will to survive is more defined than others of your kind realize. If you truly wanted to die, you would have tried to take me on several times.”

Gabe raised an eyebrow and looked at him. Voyager laughed out of true pleasure.

“I do not mean the posturing you have been doing, all in order to make sure I know to keep my hands of your lovely mate. No, you could have given me no choice but to kill you, but you did not.”

“There were so many things out to kill me that I just didn’t think I needed another being after me.”

Voyager smiled, his eyes darkened and eons of knowledge sat on his shoulders. The power he had swirled around his body.

Gabe stepped in front of Taya as she gasped at being in his presence.

“The only death you would have experienced here would have been at my hands. For you, Gabe, I was judge, jury, and executioner.” His form changed to the male who stuck the sword into his heart effectively killing him for a few minutes as he released the spirit of Xolon from his body.

Voyager’s body morphed back into that of the snotty rich kid allowing them both to breathe a little easier.

“Why didn’t you kill me?”

“I do not kill for sport or pleasure. Taking a life is serious and taking yours would have been a mistake. You have spent that last thirty years since you found your brother fighting Xolon on your own and you never knew what hit you. Even though he tried to turn you into a killer, not once did you ever give into the urge to kill. You managed to protect your Matra and your inner fire from him even though he inhabited your body. You protected your brother and the rest of your family from him. When you finally met your soul-bonded, you protected her from the evil within you while protecting her from Zuhun. Death was never your destiny.”

Voyager stepped back and looked proud of himself in a snotty rich kid way and Taya shook her head because she was still having trouble taking it all in.

“You can leave now. You have passed the soul-bond trials.” A door appeared waiting to take them back.

“Wait!”

Voyager cocked an eyebrow and looked at her.

“I don’t understand. What about me?”

“What about you?”

She glanced around looking at the open field; the beauty of it still took her breath away, but even as she stared at it she felt like it was more than the eye could see.

“What was my role here? Was I ever in any danger? Why did I have to relieve the nightmare I went through? Just tell me, why?”

He stopped and went up to her once again his form morphing into the one who held the sword earlier. He stopped when he was standing right in front of her. Reaching out his hand, he placed it under her chin and raised it until her eyes were staring into his silver gaze.

“Sometimes nothing can hurt us like the past. It haunts us day and night, tearing us a part because of the decisions we made, both good and bad. Nothing changes the past but we worry with it thinking if only. If only applies to today and what we do with it.

“Your past was out to kill you and you were close to letting it. You did not need Zuhun or even a random Sudir to target you because you had already targeted yourself. Now, what was hidden in the dark has become light and it cannot hurt you anymore. Just as importantly, it cannot come between you and your soul-bonded. One more test awaits you, but you won’t face it here.”

Voyager turned and stretched his hand out to the door. It opened with a flourish.

He bowed towards Taya. “The way out I have been promising you.”

She blinked and he was gone.

“Gabe,” she called softly. He walked over to her and held her hand. “Is this even real?”

“Yes, because I won’t let it be anything else.”

She laid her head against his upper arm before nodding and they moved towards the door together. With one last look at the field, their field, they walked through the door.

*~*~*~*

“Gabe, wake up.” He knew that voice even as he tried to escape it in order to sleep a little longer.

“Gabe.” The hand on his shoulder had his eyes opening.

He looked into a face that was the carbon copy of his own and pain lanced through his heart. It was all a dream. For one glorious moment he wasn’t lost in the shadow of his brother, but his light was apparent and he was loved for who he was and not who he looked like.

His eyes closed wanting to find that dream again or maybe just wanting to hide his disappointment from a brother who could read him like a book.

“Gabe?” A soft hand reached out to touch him before curling around his fingers. “What’s wrong, love?” The voice was close to his ear making his heart speed up.
