I stared at my
phone, eyes fixed on his last message.

“I need help studying. Come over to my place.”

Of course he would
be cocky enough to say it like that. It was so forward and demanding, but that
wasn’t what got to me most. I couldn’t believe he had the gall to summon me
like that, and on my day off too. Of all the crazy things that happened to me
since Landon Bryce came into my life this had to top the list. Then I felt
something stir at the pit of my stomach and I giggled. My face and chest
flushed red.

There was no way
that was the craziest thing he had done. The stadium definitely topped the
list. It was like some crazy fantasy that sprang to life.

I let out a small
whimper, my body fueled by sexual frustration already. I looked around hoping
nobody else was in the library noticed my flushed chest and clenching thighs.
How he managed to keep getting me so worked up no matter where I was or what I
was doing was beyond me. I looked around and then down at my books. I was
already ahead in all my classes so maybe finishing my library session early
wouldn’t be so bad.

Thinking of
Landon’s lips and the way he kissed me so dominantly, the way our bodies warmed
up together, was more than enough to convince me to go. I shut my books, closed
my notebook, and shoved them into my bag. I zipped up my pencil case and pushed
it back into my bag before closing the flap, buckling, and slinging the strap
over my shoulder. As I placed my hands flat on the desk and stood up, I
couldn’t believe I had actually just packed up to go over to Landon’s place.
His invitation was somewhat gutsy, but me actually going over there was far
worse.

I walked silently
through the tall shelves housing books, old and new, feeling like all eyes were
on me. It was completely irrational but I couldn’t help the crawling feeling
all over my skin that everyone who saw me walking out knew where I was going
and what was on her mind. I couldn’t help it. I was practically always in a
self-conscious paranoid state of mind.

I pushed the
library doors open and walked out, gazing up at the night sky dotted with
shining stars. I shivered as soon as the air twisted up my back. I rubbed my
hands over my exposed arms and started to walk, feeling both completely nervous
and excited. Suddenly, I came to a halt. I had no idea where I was going. I had
never been to his place, nor did he tell me where to go.

I gulped. Asking him would be admitting to
falling for his lure sooner than I had anticipated. I continued to walk slowly,
focusing on the splashing fountain in the center of the plaza ahead of me. I
always loved that fountain. It had a calming effect on me. Once I stood next to
it I finally pulled my phone out and asked him where he lived. I could just
imagine the smug look on his face as he typed out his address for me.

I stared at my
phone and nervously shuffled on my feet. There was still time to take it back.
I could pretend I was joking just to mess with his mind. But there was a pull
deep inside of me that didn’t want to do that. Every bit of the resolution I
made to keep things professional with Landon and I was long gone out the
window. Nothing about my attraction to him made sense. So naturally, nothing
about the way our meetings went made sense either.

It was thrilling.
I always spent every day pushing ahead, sifting through the dirt in hopes of
finding the flowers that bloomed in my life. The more I got to know Landon and
the more I allowed myself to explore different things with him, the more I
started to realize the journey was enjoyable. Maybe my mother was right in
saying I needed to be out there living my life.

With that thought,
I slipped my phone back into my bag and set off at a quicker pace. I knew the
area where he lived and I wasn’t the least bit surprised by it. I wouldn’t have
expected him to live in any place other than the richest part of the
university’s neighborhood. As I walked to his house my messenger bag started to
weigh on me, I wondered why I was even taking textbooks to his place. I could
have easily dropped them off at home. After all, I was willing to bet my next
paycheck that I wasn’t going over there to study.

Minutes later, I
stood across the street from Landon’s house. It was large and pretty, although
not quite as modern as I would have expected. I noticed his car was nowhere to
be seen, but then figured he had a garage to park it in. I looked at the
windows and wondered if he was standing next to one watching me.

I took a deep breath, looked both ways, and
dashed across the street until I was at the start of the cobblestone pathway
leading toward the front door. I had already come this far and I was determined
to let myself get lost in the moment. Everything else had to stay behind or else
my trip here wouldn’t have been worth it.

I walked up the
path and timidly pressed the doorbell. I kicked the air and looked down at my
outfit. Today I wore my favorite navy blue sailor skirt, a white tank, and my black
and white flats. I looked cute and casual, definitely not the way Landon was
used to seeing me dress every time he saw me—except for that run in at the
library. I rolled my eyes and grimaced at how awkward that had been. Thinking
back to that moment made
this
moment
seem even crazier. I couldn’t believe I was actually at his doorstep.

I shifted, adjusting the strap of my messenger
bag, which was now feeling like an obese elephant on my shoulder. The door
started to creak open. My breathing picked up.

It wasn’t Landon.

In front of me
stood a tall, tanned young man I assumed to be on the football team. He looked
me up and down and I awkwardly crossed my hands in front of me. I tried not to
look right at him, not only because he was obviously checking me out, but
because he was shirtless.

“You must be the
tutor,” he said. I finally met his gaze and noticed he looked rather amused,
but intrigued. “Now I get why his grades are going up,” he quipped. I felt even
more uncomfortable and was quickly starting to resent Landon for not opening
the door. He knew I was on my way over.

“Um, is Landon
here?” It was all I could say, quickly looking away from the half-naked guy in
front of me.

“Of course,” He
moved to the side and nodded upstairs.

I looked at the
staircase, back at the young man, and then at the staircase again. I hesitated
for a moment. Going upstairs on my own, undoubtedly watched by this mystery guy
was going to be excruciatingly awkward. But I decided to go all in. If he was
going to check out my ass on the way up the stairs, so what. I nodded and
stepped inside, walking quickly to the stairs without making it seem like I was
rushing. I made my way up, hand gliding on the wooden banister, until I reached
the top landing. I had no idea which door was Landon’s bedroom and I really
didn’t feel like poking my head behind each one to find out.

I looked to my
left and saw a large banner bearing the logo of Haywood University with an
artist’s rendering of the Lions mascot beneath it. I sucked in a deep breath
and was struck by the scent of man everywhere. Though now would have been a
good a time as any to turn and run out, I didn’t actually want to. I was
desperately curious to see Landon's room. I wanted to see his bed, climb on it,
and feel the weight of him on top of me again.

I remembered what
he promised to do to me once he had me in a bed. The anticipation I was feeling
skyrocketed. I looked around at the doors and spotted double doors at the end
of the hallway. That had to be the master bedroom and if she knew Landon at
all, it would be
his
master bedroom.
I walked over to it as confidently as possible and stretched out my arm. My
heart was thudding so loud it felt like thunder.

Fist balled
tightly, I knocked once. The door flew open before I had a chance to knock a
second time.

Landon was
standing there, watching me pant nervously with a racing heart. He looked
handsome as ever. Every fiber of my being was electrified with excitement. I
took just one step forward and he immediately took me into his arms. He pressed
his lips against mine, kissing me almost desperately. The mutual fire between
us could have been felt miles away.

He pressed me
against the wall and somehow managed to close the bedroom door behind me. He
pushed up against me and nibbled at my lips before kissing me again. My breath
hitched as he lifted me up like I was a bag of feathers. I wrapped my legs
around him and quickly interlocked my ankles so I wouldn’t slip down. He worked
me with his kisses until I moaned against his mouth, my heart rattling inside
my chest.

Landon responded
by slipping his hand under the hem of my skirt and pushed up. In a flash he
shoved my panties aside. I felt the warmth of his fingers against my slit and
his mouth curl into a smile against my lips.

“Already wet,” he
grunted against me. Every inch of my skin felt like it was burning and
electrified. He eased two fingers inside at once. My head fell back against the
wall. A gasp of pleasure fell from my lips. I placed my hand over my mouth to stifle
my heavy breaths and growing moans as he worked his fingers in and out of me,
varying the speed and depth. Pleasure coursed through my veins as my hips
rocked against the palm of his hand.

Now
this was my fantasy come to life, but feeling Landon’s fingers working me was a
million times better in real life than it was when I only imagined it. I felt
his thumb press against my clit and I cried out, eyes shut. Then I whimpered,
feeling his fingers slide out of me. I wanted more and was sure it wouldn’t
take long for me to come.

Landon licked and
bit the side of my neck before lowering me down. I was wobbly so I held on to
him, but he lifted me again and flung me onto the bed. I let out a little
giggle as I landed and bounced on top of the mattress. My body was still
shaking from all the feelings between my legs. It wasn’t just about the
pleasure he gave me with his fingers, it was about everything Landon made me
feel. All the buildup and anticipation as I walked to his house had done me in.
It was clear the wait had the same effect on him.

He looked down at
me, eyes burning with desire. He was breathing heavily and I curled one leg
underneath the other, feeling sexy. There was something so great about him
getting so turned on just by touching and tasting me.

“Do you remember
what I told you?” he asked huskily.

I nodded slowly. I
remembered him promising to take me time and time again, going all night, once
he had me in a bed. Now was the moment. I was more than ready for it. He
smirked. I could see it in his eyes; all he wanted to do was rip my clothes off
and fuck me until the walls shook. I had waited long enough. I wanted to know
what it would feel like to have him inside of me. I could see the outline of
his hardness pressed up against his jeans. The anticipation must have been
killing him too.

I wanted to feel
his body against me and I wanted it all night, just like he had promised. The
thought alone was enough to get me soaking wet. I felt an aching between my
legs and I squeezed them together just once, whining quietly as I imagined what
it was going to feel like for him to slip inside. He was watching me intently.
He pulled his shirt off and swiftly took off his pants and boxers together,
standing in front of me completely naked.

I gulped. My gaze
instantly fell to his manhood, throbbing erect and pointing right at me.

This was the first
time I could appreciate his body fully, without anything in the way. I looked
over every inch. He was chiseled like a Greek god. I could probably eat off of
his washboard stomach and lick down the crevice of his abs.
