EPILOGUE

K
oda held Sera’s hands as they faced one another in front of their pack. Their hands were tied together with a satin sash, symbolizing their union. His father stood in front of them, smiling.

“You may say your vows, Koda.”

“I stand before you as your mate, your equal. With you by my side, I am a better alpha. I now humbly ask you, Sera Kalihan, will you complete our bond and become my alpha? Will you please become my mate forever?”

Before Antonio could say anything, Sera spoke up. “I’ve written my own vows.”

Antonio nodded. “I expected nothing less,” he said, making the packs laugh.

“Koda Stephano, my life changed dramatically since the very second I met you, and I am glad. I thank the All Mother for blessing me with a mate, and I am just so happy that my mate is you. I choose to complete us, our bond. My pack will join with yours, and we will be become the Moon Stone Pack,” she said, smiling at him.

Antonio handed Koda a golden chalice with red liquid in it. “This is the wine is from the fairies of old. Shed blood and take a drink to complete your bond,” he said, handing Koda the dagger.

Koda cut his palm, then handed the dagger to Sera. Her eyes never left his as she slid the dagger across her own palm, shedding her blood. They clasped their hands together before the wounds healed. The mixture of blood was dripped into the cup, and the red liquid began to glow in the chalice. She smiled as Koda moved the cup to his lips and drank it.

He growled happily as the liquid slid down his throat. It was the most intoxicating thing he’d ever consumed in his life. Instantly, he lost track of everything, everything except Sera. He felt stronger than ever before as their bond strengthened.

He pulled the chalice away from his lips and handed it to Sera with a wink. She rolled her eyes with a laugh as she swallowed the remainder of the wine. As soon as she drank the first sip, they both felt their bond solidify. They gasped at the intensity of it as their lives molded together. Now, they would never have to be without one another, in their current life or the next.

“Now,” Antonio said, “before we being the ritual to bind our packs as one, it is tradition to ask if any member of either pack has any objections to this union. If so, please speak up now.”

They looked around the room and saw nothing but acceptance and love.

Antonio smiled. “All right then. Shall we—”

The door was suddenly thrown open. “I object to this union!”

Everyone gasped, and Sera growled as she faced the person who stood at the door.

“Sera Kalihan does not have the right to bind the Moon Shine Pack with the Moon Stone Pack.”

              “And why not?” Koda growled.

“Because the pack is rightfully mine.”

“And who are you?” Sera asked in shock.

The man looked right at her and sternly said, “I am Tarron Kalihan, Tyson Kalihan’s firstborn son.”
