“This won’t hinder our girly weekend Wills, I
promise.”

“Hey.” She keeps her voice hushed. “Don’t let
me rain on your pussy parade. I wouldn’t usually agree with fucking somebody
you may or may not be about to break up with
but
when he makes you
scream his name the way you were—I’ll happily make an exception. Plus your
heads already fucked over him so you may as well bag those big O’s whilst you
still can, B.”

“You make it sound like I’m using him.”

“It is what it is. You love the guy Beth, so you
get what you can whenever you can if that’s what you want. We’ll still have
plenty of fun. Anyway, what’s on the schedule for today?”

I take out the list from my handbag and we both
cast our eyes over it. We make plans to get ready and head down to the beach to
watch the heats that are being held there for most of the day. We can show our
support whilst catching some sun—perfect.

2:25pm

I am baked. The sun is blazing so we’ve been
frequently dipping in and out of the sea all day. Before lunch we went over to
the promenade to watch the tyre flip event.

Our Birmingham team is currently in second
place on points. There’s a huge board on the beach that’s being updated
constantly. There are two London teams, which are in first and third place,
followed by Manchester then Cardiff.

Wills and I have put our names down to take a
turn on the treadmill challenge, which is basically five allocated treadmills
lined up in a nearby studio and they’re clocking distance covered by each team
over the entire weekend. I absolutely love running and swimming so I can’t wait
for my chance to contribute. I’m in no fit state to run at the moment though.
The sun has drained us of our energy.

We’ve just eaten lunch whilst watching the
strongest of all the men doing various strength challenges. We’ve got this one
covered though. Our competitors are very impressive and Jax is doing a sterling
job keeping everybody organised and hyped up.

He’s so fucking sexy when he’s bossy, inside
and outside of the bedroom. I’ve had a lady-boner in my bikini bottoms since I
saw him in his white vest and summer shorts… and those sunglasses. Considering
he hasn’t been able to train anywhere near his usual standards, he looks so
goddam ripped—I guess we have been working out together quite a lot.

The heat of the sun is making his veins pop and
his skin glisten. I want to go and rub more sun block on his tattoos—and his
cock, just for good measure—but I can’t because he’s working.

The air has been thick with testosterone since
we stepped foot on the beach. There’s skimpy bikini clad females flirting about
the place like mosquitos. You can easily spot the genuine girls that have come
down to support their club because they’re concentrating on the events and
cheering their men along. Whereas the girls that are simply here to spread
their legs, stand out like a sore thumb—or a sunburned cleavage in their case.

Talk about tits and ass—it’s everywhere. I
can’t look in any direction without spotting erect nipples and camel toes.

“Pissing you off isn’t it?”

“What?”

“Seeing these girls checking out your man.”

“That obvious huh? I really didn’t think I was
the jealous type, but maybe I am. I’ve been having thoughts of bitch slapping
girls all day. That’s not like me at all.”

Well, Carmel was the exception I guess. She was
certainly able to get under my skin.

Wills gives me a patronising ‘there, there’
half cuddle and a kiss on the head.

“That’s not jealousy babe. You’re not worried
that he’s
actually
paying attention to any of these girls are you?”

“No.”

“See—you’re not jealous then. You just don’t
like the idea of another girl
thinking
she’s got a chance with your man,
right?”

“Exactly.”

“So go and make it clear he’s not on the
market. Give him a kiss or a grope or something—label your man.”

“As much as I’d love to do that, he’s working
Wills. The big bosses are over there watching. It’s not happening.”

“So you’re going to spend the next few days
tormenting yourself by clocking every girl that eyefucks him or tries to chat
him up?”

“In the daytime, yeah. What else can I do?”

“Well if you can’t show them his yours, tell
them.”

“What do you want me to do, start handing out
flyers?”

“Look, once you’ve told a few of the skanks,
the girls from their club will soon get the message. This beach may be swarming
with sexy beasts but we both know Jax has a way of standing out from the crowd…
I’m just saying, if something’s pissing you off in your life, don’t accept
it—do something about it.”

“You’re right.”

“Okay, well that chick right there has been
sliding her sneaky ass closer and closer to him.”

I look over and see the brunette with humongous
tits. Willow’s right. I’ve seen her flirting around our guys all day. Jax and
the lads are distracted watching the Deadlift Challenge so Wills waves to get
her attention and when the girl looks over, she beckons her to us.

“Sorry, sweetheart, that one’s taken.”

Wills nods over to Jax who’s obliviously
writing on his clipboard. How does she manage to talk with a smile yet the tone
clearly says
back-the-fuck-up
?

“Alright darlin’ cool. See y’round, yeah.”

The brunette has a strong cockney accent so
she’s likely to be down with one of the London teams. She spins her bare feet
in the sand and veers in the direction of another group of targets with her
friends following behind her.

“See, no agro. Simple.”

I need to embrace my Fuck It attitude into all
of my life. Wills has hit the nail on the head. If I don’t like something, I
should do something about it.

That glimmer of inspiration is about to be
tested because there’s a break in the events and some of the spectators see
that as their opportunity to pounce and flirt outrageously. Jax can’t very well
tell them to ‘fuck off’ and cause a scene so I see him diverting his attention
elsewhere.

He looks up and around the crowd. I know he’s
looking for me but he doesn’t spot me. This girl won’t give up. She’s all over
him like a rash, swishing her black glossy hair around like she’s filming a
shampoo ad and giggling at God knows what.

I look over at Wills, who just shrugs as if to repeat,
‘If you don’t like it, do something about it.’

Craig calls Jax over to the Birmingham team
tent where our lot have gathered. So I take my opportunity to subtly walk over
to the girl, with my back up bestie casually in tow.

“Excuse me. Hey. That guy—he’s attached.”

“Yeah, he’s gonna be attached to my cunt if
he’s lucky.”

Oh. Well, I didn’t expect that, so I snort out
a laugh because well, it was a fucking crude thing to say.

“No, I mean, he’s taken. As in, I don’t think
he’d be interested in your ‘cunt’ I’m afraid, sorry.”

How did Wills nail it in one but I just sound
patronising? Probably because the thought of Jaxson anywhere near her privates—or
in her case probably ‘publics’—makes me want to vomit all over her fake spider
leg eyelashes.

Her screwed up face tells me I’ve riled her and
I can smell she’s been drinking. I’ve got a feeling that this is going to go
majorly wrong.

“And who the fuck are
you
to tell
me
who I will and won’t be fucking?”

Wills steps forward but I hold my arm out to
her.

“Look, you’ve got a beach full of hot men to
crack on with. Just not him.”

The girl swipes her hair over her shoulders,
with her hands on her hips and steps forward twice until she’s in my face. We’re
the same height.

“Listen bitch, if you try and tell me what to
do one more time, I will slap those freckles off your pretty little face and
bury your head in the sand. Capeesh?”

How the fuck did this escalate so quickly?
Wills grabs my arm to move me out of the way but I stand firm. I’m not the
Bethany that takes bullshit because it’s easier for everybody else. I’m not the
Bethany that walks away from confrontation because there may be consequences.

I’m the Bethany that says fuck the
consequences. This bully deserves to be brought down a peg or two. Miss Sensible
pipes up to remind me of the fact that we’re on a beach surrounded by a few
hundred people. Plus she’s been drinking and possibly a brawler…

Nah. Fuck It!

“Don’t
fucking
talk to him ag—”

I don’t get chance to finish my sentence because
this mad bitch slaps me straight across my left cheek. It’s fucking harsh and I
taste the blood straight away. Thankfully she doesn’t go in for the kill, she
just casually composes herself and faces me with an evil sneer on her face.

My heart’s thumping, sending vibrations to join
the adrenalin that’s already doing laps around my body. My ear is ringing, my
cheek is stinging and I’m still holding onto Willow’s arm, forcing her from
intervening.

Willow’s saying something to me but I don’t
know what. I’m too busy considering my next move. I know the sound of the slap
resonated through the crowd. We’re bound to start drawing attention to
ourselves and—

Hold on. Something clicks in my head—I think
it’s Miss Fierce’s finger snapping—and I chastise myself for
thinking
instead of reacting. This crazy cow has just fucking slapped me. She’s looking
at me with a cocksure attitude daring me to say something else. So I don’t…

Instead, I lunge forward, grab her shoulders
and with an almighty sneezing action, crack a spot of my forehead right across
her nose. It’s safe to say nobody saw that coming, including me—thank you Jax
for teaching me that self-defence move in his gym at home.

The black haired witch screams in pain but fucking
attacks me at the same time. Next thing I know, my back is on the sand and
she’s yanking at my hair. Thankfully it’s plaited otherwise she’d be tearing it
out at the roots.

I can hear Wills and she’s trying to drag the
psycho off me. I lift my foot around to her front and kick her away—and thank
you mother for my strong thick thighs.

Her hair is sticking to the blood that’s
smeared across her face now. It’s like something out of a horror movie. I get
up onto my knees and reach for her loose hair, tugging it down so that I’m
above her now. At this point I hear Jax’s voice in the distance but my blood is
pumping so loudly I can’t focus on what he’s saying.

“Okay, okay. I give in.”

She spits some blood onto the sand beside her.

“I tried to ask you nicely. Try not to be such
a bitch next time.”

5:06pm

After all the drama we headed straight back to
our room. It’s only a ten minute walk from the beach. I had to bat Wills away
from fussing over me but Jax was surprisingly standoffish. I don’t regret
standing up for myself but I do feel a bit embarrassed and it’s taken the walk
back over here for my shakes to settle. Perhaps I should apologise to Jax for
making a scene.

I’ve just grabbed a shower and switched my
bikini for a new one piece. It’s a lush gold and black design with the entire
right side cut out in a semi-circle at the front and back so it exposes my new
navel piercing. I’ve already caught the sun on top of my spray tan and I feel
like I’m glowing, which isn’t bad considered I’ve just been scrapping on the
beach. I wrap a thinly croqueted black sarong around my waist and tie it neatly
at my hip.
