He told her that she would be able to come on command, although she wasn’t certain she had that ability. But the more Jacob had controlled her pleasure, the more she thought it was possible. After she was seated, with her feet on the ledge underneath, Jacob tied her ankles to the wooden legs.

Then he put her arms by her sides and tied them to the back of the chair. When she was secured, Jacob stood back to look at her. His gorgeous cock was swollen with arousal, and she wanted to put her mouth on him.

But that was not the plan. Jacob was in control, and she had only to obey. He went to a drawer to retrieve a pair of nipple clamps. Vivienne had worn them before; still, a tingle went through her. “I’m going to adjust these a bit tighter than usual. You are to let me know if it’s too much.”

Jacob sucked on her nipples, making them erect. His hot mouth felt so good; it was soothing. Then he put on one of the clamps. A sharp pain shot through her body, but Vivienne didn’t voice any complaint. “Okay?” he said, and she nodded.

Then he put on the other clamp. The initial pain blended into a dull ache, a pleasant pain that made her clit hard. Jacob looked into her eyes. “You are mine, Vivienne…your pain…your pleasure…all mine.”

Vivienne licked her dry lips, but didn’t say anything. The look in Jacob’s eyes was commanding, thus subduing her without words. She wanted to serve him, and the prospect of doing so flooded her with pride.

Jacob stood close, then wrapped his hand around her throat. The aggressive gesture sent heat straight to her core, and put her into a submissive state of mind. She cast her eyes down, so as not to challenge his dominance.

The ropes held Vivienne tight, and the nipple clamps taunted her. With Jacob’s hand on her neck, she nearly came without permission. That wouldn’t have been good, and she struggled to remember how she’d learned to control her responses.

There had been times when she had been so close to climaxing that she had nearly come apart. But Jacob had forbidden it, which had been a thrill, though an unexpected one. The power exchange was such that he controlled her, right down to her physical reactions.

If he had denied her the pleasure of orgasm, Vivienne had held back, and to her amazement, doing so had been an indescribable pleasure. She had done so for Jacob, because he had asked her to. Yet when he had allowed her to orgasm, it had been all the more intense.

Jacob raked his palms down her arms and along her thighs, a show of his possessiveness. She didn’t look directly at him, but couldn’t help glancing at his blood-engorged cock. He was the sexiest man alive. She panted softly to keep pace with the scene.

Cupping her breasts, Jacob looked at the nipple clamps. “Do they hurt you?”

“Just a little, sir.”

“Shall I loosen them?”

That was a question that offered her a choice, so she was honest. “No, sir. I prefer to hurt…for you.”

Jacob leaned down and kissed the tips of her nipples, squeezed tight by the clamps. He flicked his tongue over them several times and sensation swamped her. Vivienne closed her eyes for a second to regain her composure.

If Jacob continued to fondle her nipples, clamped as they were, Vivienne feared she might come from that alone. She opened to the feelings his ministrations created, letting the pain and pleasure flow through her, accepting it. By not resisting, she was able to maintain some restraint. It was a practiced skill, and she’d gotten better at it over the months.

Then Jacob traced his finger between her breasts and down her belly. Vivienne gasped involuntarily when he cupped her sex. “You’re mine,” he said. “Remember that. No matter how intense it gets, you will release only if I allow it, Vivienne.”

It was a relief to give Jacob control, to let him command her. Vivienne trusted that he would guide her, and in the end, any release he granted would be deeply satisfying. Kneeling before her, Jacob put his hands on her thighs.

He leaned in and kissed her bare vulva, then dragged his tongue over her wet slit. “You taste so sweet.”

Vivienne watched Jacob press his lips to her sex, and it felt like she was on fire. He dipped two fingers inside her and flicked his tongue over her tense clit. “I like to see you aroused,” he said. “I like it a lot.”

When he nipped at her clit, Vivienne whimpered. She doubted whether she could maintain self-control. Yet Jacob had taught her how to do that; he had worked with her patiently. She just had to remember what she’d learned.

Jacob licked her pussy, and Vivienne willed her body to comply with her intent. She welcomed the erotic feel, let it wash through her, but forbid herself from giving in. When he parted her outer lips with his thumbs, she began to doubt once again.

Vivienne dug deep for strength. She relished the feel of Jacob’s hands on her, his mouth caressing her. The longer he did so, the harder her clit became. It burned for release, yet she held off. Jacob kissed her pussy lovingly, and she panted faster to absorb the rapidly escalating pleasure.

“You’re doing very well.” Jacob’s deep voice calmed her.

Still Vivienne didn’t know if he’d allow her to climax. There had been sessions when he hadn’t, just to teach her. The thought of him forbidding her made her heart sink. Surely he wouldn’t do that this time. But there was every reason he might.

Jacob put his hands on her hips, and swirled the tip of his tongue around her clit. Vivienne shuddered, but she didn’t come. Then he sucked over her most sensitive area, and she managed to take it in without letting go.

“It’s deeply satisfying to see you so aroused.” Jacob squeezed with his hands and pressed his lips to her belly. “Your obedience is gratifying. And your sexual torment pleases me, Vivienne.”

Jacob looked up at her. “To see you on the verge, yet abstaining…for me. That alone makes me high, Vivienne, and I’m tempted to dangle you here longer…just so I can look at your flushed skin, see your glassy eyes.”

Vivienne accepted the thrill that consumed her. She pleased Jacob, and that touched her. It meant more than an orgasm she might cheat him out of. Her orgasms belonged to him. She understood that now.

Then Jacob slid his fingertips through her wetness, and her sex clenched, making her more aware of the pinching of her nipples by the teeth of the clamps. “You will come now, Vivienne.”

His command pierced through her erotic haze, and immense joy filled her. The words had barely been uttered before Vivienne welcomed the powerful waves of orgasm. The first of many made her convulse with its power, and she realized that she was coming without Jacob even having to touch her.

His hot mouth hovered close, while Vivienne came unglued. She cried out, giving Jacob the orgasm he’d asked for. It was his as much as hers, and thus more powerful. The waves pounded through her, warming her deep in her core.

After her peak, Vivienne relaxed against the chair. Jacob stroked her cheek. “Come again, Vivienne.
Now
.” She couldn’t believe he’d said that, and saw no way to comply. As her first orgasm released her, Vivienne was convinced she couldn’t come so soon.

But she wanted to. Jacob had asked her to. He had confidence in her. When he stroked his fingertips along her inner thigh, remarkably, Vivienne was aroused again. Delicious heat seeped into her sex, and her clit responded.

Jacob didn’t touch her sex. He continued to stroke her thigh. “Your orgasm is mine, Vivienne. I command you to come again…for me.”

Without warning, Vivienne’s body tensed and her clit ached. Jacob’s words caused her budding arousal to soar to a higher plateau, and in that fleeting moment, she
believed
that she could come again. On the heels of one orgasm, she could have another.

Her skin tingled, and her belly flattened. Bound to the chair, and with Jacob’s hand on her thigh, Vivienne climaxed…hard. She cried out as she shattered. The room flashed bright white and the euphoria of submission flooded her.

Jacob kissed her cheeks, her lips, and her neck. He untied the ropes and deftly removed the nipple clamps. Then he carried her to the bed. There he nestled her among the pillows and hovered above her. Vivienne gazed at his thick cock, wanting him inside her more than she wanted her next breath.

“Please…” she gasped, and Jacob slipped his cock into her. The stretch was heavenly, and he filled her, making her clench over him. “Please…” No other word escaped her lips. Vivienne rocked against Jacob as he pounded into her.

Every nerve in her body came alive, with Jacob’s heat searing her from the inside. “Ahh, ahh, ahh…Jacob.”

Vivienne felt him pulse hard. “Now, baby…
now
.” And together they spiraled into orgasm as if they were one, feeling each other’s waves of climax, unable to separate one from the other. Jacob fucked her hard, until he collapsed over her. And Vivienne sagged against the mattress, still floating on a cloud of sensation.

Then Jacob moved beside her, and pulled her on top of him. Vivienne rested her head against his shoulder, still breathing hard, and listened to the staccato beat of his heart. She couldn’t move, so just let Jacob cradle her. Vivienne was his…completely.

Chapter 7

That night as Vivienne slept in his arms, Jacob breathed in her sweet scent, listening to her steady breathing. He felt so alive, so in love. It was because of Vivienne; she’d loved him enough for both of them. Now it was time to give back, and he would.

Jacob wanted to care for her, to protect her. And visions of her unending pleasure filled his thoughts. What he shared with her in the playroom, and out, seemed limitless. He hadn’t known any woman like Vivienne before, who had led him to new experiences, sexually and emotionally. She gave all, and it was a joy to guide her, teach her…and love her.

Yet as much as she thought he held the power, Jacob knew that it was hers. Vivienne had braved the darkness, reached through to him when it had seemed impossible. And it was she who had persisted, and had faith when there was no basis for it. He’d given her little encouragement. Yet the love in her heart, her goodness, had won out. And Jacob was gratefully and eternally in love.

Now Vivienne lived with him, slept in his arms each night, and Jacob couldn’t be happier. He wasn’t alone anymore, fighting demons he didn’t fully understand. With Vivienne in his arms and in his life, he had a direction. Jacob was still finding his way.

But he knew the correct path was the one that brought Vivienne closer to him, the choices that ensured he could share his life with her. Those were the right ones. That knowledge was a relief. He nuzzled her hair and kissed her goodnight before drifting off into a peaceful sleep.

After the weekend, Jacob fell into a normal routine. While Vivienne showered and dressed to go to the shop, he went for his morning jog. The icy weather shocked him into alertness, and the workout refreshed him for the day ahead.

Vivienne preferred walking to Vee’s, so he didn’t deny her that privilege, although he still had the car pick her up at the end of the day. She hadn’t asked about Milo, probably assuming that the man hadn’t returned after that first encounter with Jacob outside her shop. That was just as well, as there was no need for her to know what had happened behind the scenes.

Still Jacob didn’t want her walking home late or in the dark, so he provided transportation for her. She didn’t complain, and said she felt safer that way. That was a good thing. He needed to protect her, and preferred that she not resist his efforts.

After the holidays, Jacob had found that Rinaldi Imports was running well. Even in his absence his staff had kept operations moving ahead. It was rewarding to hear that the new alliance with the importers had netted results, even at this early stage. His friends and allies were beginning to see profits from the new online sales venture.

Jacob’s confidence was high, and his attitude positive. Every morning he picked up an espresso and a quick breakfast on his way to the office. Once at his desk, he dove into priority projects with new verve. Vivienne had sparked passion in his life that extended to all aspects. With his life on track, he stopped looking around every corner for something to derail it.

But he’d relaxed his vigilance too soon. One afternoon, Jacob stepped out of the office for lunch. After Hong Kong, he had developed a habit of eating at Chinese restaurants, and there were several decent ones within blocks of his office. Sometimes Trace went with him, but today his friend was meeting Lana.

He headed toward his favorite place, the one he’d been to every day that week. The cook made excellent snake soup, and Jacob’s mouth watered as he strode down the busy sidewalk. He passed by a patch of grass, the entry to one of the other multistoried buildings along his route.

A man sitting on the edge of the brick planter stared at him, and the nature of the look made Jacob falter. Something welled up inside him, an old feeling that was familiar. It was from long ago, yet had been with him every day of his life.

Jacob stood on the sidewalk, letting the throng of people go around him. One guy bumped into him, but it wasn’t worth taking note of. Only one thing held Jacob’s attention, and that was the man in front of him. It was the cruel look in the man’s eyes that was unmistakable.

Carl Hahn was different, older. But he still had that muscular form, and the demeanor that had once intimidated Jacob. When he’d been a boy, his father had looked huge, always looming over him, threatening.

The man’s hair was graying now, as well as his beard. The scruffy appearance didn’t shock Jacob. Some things didn’t change, and he doubted that Carl had changed for the better. When the man stood up, he took on an air of importance.

Yet Jacob was no longer a child. He had grown up, and he towered over Carl, who looked slightly bent. But the man didn’t back away, and it occurred to Jacob that he really thought he’d cower to him. It was as though the years hadn’t passed, and the asshole had the right to bully his son.

Rage surged through Jacob’s veins, and he clenched his fists. “What gutter did you crawl out of?”

Carl didn’t flinch. “Is that any way to greet your father?”

“You’re
not
my father,” Jacob spat. “You were
never
a father to me.”

“Oh, so you’re uppity now, are you?” Carl rolled his shoulders, as if unaffected by his son’s caustic reception.

Images flooded Jacob’s mind, and he blinked. There was Carl holding an electrical cord in his fist, his eyes dead, and his muscles bulging. His raspy voice grated against Jacob’s ears, making him tense. The scars on Jacob’s back stung, as if to remind him of what his father had done to him, of the unrelenting abuse.

In the background was Flora, his dear mother, crying for Carl to stop. Latent urges to protect her surfaced, along with the despair of losing her, of her life being cut short. Grief swamped Jacob and he clenched his jaw. His vision blurred. Yet Carl still stood there, waiting.

Once again, a fraction of a second determined the course of Jacob’s life. It had when he was a child, when he’d nearly succeeded in stabbing Carl, and would have been happy if he had. This time, Jacob could reach out and squeeze the life right out of the evil bastard.

But in a fleeting instant, Jacob decided otherwise. He had responsibilities now, and he couldn’t let Carl antagonize him into making a grave error in judgment. Despite his baser instincts, he held back, yet remained ready to react if he needed to.

Jacob saw Carl as a broken man, a weak man, one with no principles or loyalty. His own despicable actions had rendered him without a family, and whatever he’d suffered, it hadn’t been nearly enough. There was no way to bring Flora back, or to make up for her death.

“You are one crazy son of a bitch,” Jacob said. “Day after day, drunk out of your mind, you bullied your young wife and son. I haven’t forgotten the abuse. You have a lot of nerve coming here like this.”

Carl stuffed his hands in his jacket pockets and shifted from one foot to the other. His eyes were bloodshot, and his nervous stance was a giveaway that he needed a drink. The man always needed a drink. He’d been drunk every day of Jacob’s young life, and likely still was.

Seeing Carl Hahn on the sidewalks of New York, confronting him after all this time, shifted something inside Jacob. For so many years, his vision of his father had been through his eyes as a young boy. The man had been bigger, stronger, and his oppression inescapable.

The memories had been magnified by the horrible events that had ensued. Now, looking at the deplorable image of a man standing before him, things fell into place. The man’s influence was no longer out of proportion, seeming bigger than life, as it had when Jacob had been so young.

Current reality was different, and it blew those early memories right out of the water for Jacob. He saw Carl for what he really was: a heartless bastard who got his jollies beating on helpless women and children. But he wasn’t scary anymore. Jacob could easily take him out, physically. It occurred to Jacob that the man was no longer a threat. He had no position in life, no power over his son.

Huge relief washed over Jacob, and he expelled a heavy breath. “So why the hell are you here?”

Carl shook his head. “You always did have a temper, Jacob. You see, I used to tell Flora to keep you in line. But she never could. And you see what happened.”

Jacob seethed with hatred. “You killed her, you evil son of a bitch.”

Carl laughed. It was a sound that lacked mirth, and was only dark and disconcerting. “No, Jacob. Your mother died of pneumonia.” His eyes narrowed. “It takes balls for you to point the finger at me…you’re the murderer.”

Jacob dared not move, lest he wring the life out of the bastard standing not more than two feet away from him.

“You tried to kill me, Jacob. Your own father. You tried to stab me.” Carl smirked. “Do the Rinaldis know you are a murderer at heart? Have you told them?”

Jacob shouted at his father, “I was a child…
you
are the monster!”

“You tried to kill me, Jacob Hahn. You are not a Rinaldi. You’re nothing like them.” Carl took a step closer. “Once a killer…always a killer.”

Jacob froze. “You’re right, Carl…because I’m tempted to end your miserable life right now.”

Carl gave him a knowing look. “I’ll tell them, Jacob. I’ll tell them everything.”

“You think Vico doesn’t know?” Jacob was incredulous. “He saved me
from you
, from the horrible fate you saw as fitting for your own son.”

“He can’t save you, Jacob. Even Vico Rinaldi can’t save you from yourself.” Carl moved back, just a step, but it was a sign of retreat from the venomous look in Jacob’s eyes.

“Vico may know. After all, he raised you.” A look of evil delight came over Carl’s features. “But everyone else
doesn’t
.”

“Who would possibly care?”

“You make me laugh, Jacob. You were always aggressive, uncontrollable. But I had thought you were smart.” Carl huffed. “Little good it did you. Don’t you see?”

“See what?”

“Jacob Rinaldi, the head of Rinaldi Imports, attempted the murder of his own father.” Carl’s eyes darkened. “And it wasn’t the first time. You know that. And I know that.”

Jacob didn’t respond.

“Do you think your position in the business community is so secure that no one would bat an eyelash to hear about what you did? Think again…my idiot son.”

Embarrassment over word of his misdeeds spreading rendered Jacob speechless.

“And Daniel Kenyon was correct. You don’t know your position in life.”

The mention of Kenyon’s name was a shock. “What’s he got to do with this?”

“You just wouldn’t back down, would you?” Carl said. “You continued to malign the reputation of a good man like Daniel. You don’t learn.”

He glared at Jacob. “Dan told me to look for you here, that you eat at some Chinese dump every day. And you know what else he told me? That you are sweet on a woman in the perfume industry…Vivienne, isn’t it?”

Jacob cringed at hearing his father speak her name.

“Does she want to be hooked up with the likes of you? Think about it.”

Jacob wasn’t going to back down that easily, especially now that he’d threatened to involve Vivienne. “A word from you and you think everyone will run from me, that it would be that simple to sever their support?”

“No, but the media will be interested, Jacob. Didn’t you know that Daniel is close friends with people in the right places, those with power to control the media? Oh, you thought he was just a lowly subordinate at Williamson Imports. Well, you underestimated him.”

With horror, Jacob began to envision what his father intended.

“The story will spread, not only through the news, but social media. It’s not something you can turn away from. Releasing that story, telling the world that one of the largest New York importing companies is run by a criminal, would spread like wildfire.” Carl laughed. “And it comes from a credible source…your natural father.”

When Jacob didn’t reply, Carl continued his tirade. “You aren’t a Rinaldi. You’ve been pretending. I know what you
really are
.” He pointed at Jacob. “You say I’m a heartless bastard? Well,
you
are my son.”

Jacob stepped away, shaking his head.

“Vico will pay. He took you away. You are my son, Jacob…and he stole you from me.”

Crazy asshole
. Jacob turned and strode back toward the office. He didn’t know if Carl followed or not. He hoped not, as he’d already given the man one reprieve, but wouldn’t be accountable for his actions if Carl came at him again.

If he persisted in this vein, Jacob swore he would end it. He would do whatever he needed to do, and he knew what he was capable of. He hadn’t needed Carl to tell him that. The man had made a dire mistake when he threatened Vivienne. Keeping her safe mattered most, and Carl wasn’t going to get away with this.

Jacob returned to his office and closed the door. His life had been shaken to the core. Carl’s threats were ludicrous. Yet if he followed through, it would be very damaging. The scathing news story would start a controversy, and bring Jacob’s mental fitness into question. And worst of all, it would put those he loved at risk.

******

There was no way that Jacob could work any longer that day. He needed to talk to Vivienne. And he needed a drink. On the way back through the lobby, he said to Meg, “I’m out for the rest of the day.” He provided no further explanation, and she didn’t ask for any.
