short
version
of

Kerrigan
ca

oled.

Threeo
puffed
out
his
feathers
with
ann
o
y
a

c
e.

sure,
now

want
to
hear

vision.

about

in
the

refused
to

with

Threeo
blinked
slow

and

voice
wavered,
but continued.

butt, hanging

repeated

leaned
over
and

watted

on

end.

chirped
with

laugh

his
tail.

wasn’t
taken,
was

She
is
going
to
be
just
fine.
I
don’t
think
all
of

ur
vision will
be
true.”

e
looked
into
the

low
e
y

of
his
co

pa
n
ion. “I
hope

o

Kerrigan.”

starting

Threeo,
have

on
the
babies
since
we’ve
been

Kerrigan
knew
Threeo
had,
but
it
w
a
s
better
to distract
him
then
let
m

lancho

take
hold.

“Yes,
the
babies
are

fine.
I
thought
Meeka

ig
h
t
like
to
see
them
to

orrow,”
Threeo queried.

“I
think
that’s
a

idea.
If
she
liked
the
funny
fish,

he’ll
love
the
babies.”

Threeo
stood
back
up
and
vanished
by
teleporting
to
the
fireplace
m
a
n
tle
across
the
roo
m
. “That’s
w
hat
I
thought.
Threeo
real
l
y
likes
Meeka.”

Kerrigan
didn’t
respond.
Who
wouldn’t
like
Meeka?

Threeo
blinked
heavi
l
y
and
said
good
night,
burrowing
his
soft
owl
head
between
his
large legs.
In
seconds,
he
was
asleep.

Kerrigan
stood
staring
into
the
fire.

W
hy?

The
questions
pla
y
ed
over
in
his
m
ind.
H
ow
could
he
not
have

n
sed
the
evil
before
its attack?
He’d
done
nu

erous
scans
on
Enchantment
since
being
ho
m
e,
and
nothing
appeared
out of
the
ordina
r
y
.
