For All Dried Herbs and Flowers

Go to gorgeouslygreen.com and click on “Do It Gorgeously.” These are companies that I implicitly trust in terms of their commitment to organic farming and producing the real thing:

Mountain Rose Herbs (www.mountainroseherbs.com)

Simplers (www.simplers.com)

Anti-aging Ingredients

For an updated list of anti-aging ingredients, go to gorgeouslygreen.com and click on “Do It Gorgeously.”

Vitamin C crystals: www.cosmedix.com

L-ascorbic acid powder/crystals: These can be found at almost any health food or vitamin store. Keep in mind that it must be labeled L-ascorbic acid, as opposed to vitamin C.

Camu Camu: This potent vitamin C powder can be found at www.livesuperfoods.com.

Retinol: I recommend retinyl acetate from skinactives.com. I also love “Refine” by CosMedix (www.cosmedix.com).

Bottles, Jars, and Containers for Your Skincare Supplies

Specialty Bottles (www.specialtybottle.com)

For Your Chek It: Home Test Lab in a Box

Go to Snowdrift Farms (www.snowdriftfarms.com).

Water Filtration

I think it’s vitally important to filter out chlorine and pollutants from your tap water. As mentioned in the beauty chapter, chlorine is horribly drying for skin and hair, so ideally a whole house filtration system is the answer. I highly recommend the LifeSource Water System (www.lifesourcewater.com), because it’s an eco-friendly company that uses a granular activated carbon filter (only needs to be changed every fifteen years), and it’s one of the few systems that filters out all the bad stuff but still keeps the valuable minerals in your water (important for drinking).

If you can’t afford a whole house system, make sure you put filters on your showerheads. I recommend the Rainshow’r Shower Water Filter (www.amazon.com).

Pimple/Blackhead Removing Device
