Love On Top
“H
ey, girl.” Tai closed the door to the guest bedroom in her parents’ home and plopped on the bed. It had been a long day and while she’d been happy to spend it with her parents in Ohio, putting on a happy face had worn her out.
“Hey, sis,” Vivian replied. “How’d it go?”
“Could have been worse,” Tai replied. “You know that Daddy doesn’t pry much, and I gave Mama the rundown before she could start the grill. She was trying to talk reconciliation, but telling her about King’s love child shut that talk right up. It was good for the kids to be here, though. They’re much closer to King’s parents than they are to mine and if anything good comes of this sordid mess it will be that they get to know their maternal grands.”
“Where are the kids now?”
“Mama and Daddy took the twins to a movie. Michael said he was taking Sonya on a tour of Cleveland.”
“Who’s Sonya?”
“His flavor of the month. She seems like a good girl. Graduated a year behind Michael with a degree in English, is thinking about joining the Peace Corps, and eventually wants to teach on Chicago’s South Side.”
“Sounds noble.”
“Very.”
“Not sure how that gels with your mover-shaker son on the fast track to becoming a high-powered attorney.”
“She’s got other things gelling, like big breasts, a big butt, a pretty face, and a thick head of natural hair.”
“Ha!”
“I have a feeling that this ‘tour’ will be less about the sites of Cleveland and more about the sites around Sonya’s hotel suite or more specifically . . . around her body.”
“Tai, please. I’ve known Michael since he was in diapers and can do without the visual.”
“I’m his mother! How do you think I feel? But he is King’s son and his grandfather’s kin. Brook men will screw anything, even if it’s just a lightbulb into the socket.”
“Oh, Lord ...”
“I might have been born at night, but it wasn’t last night.”
“Ha!” The two best friends chatted a little longer, confirming Tai’s plans to visit LA the following month. With an empty nest and newfound freedom, Tai had decided on a totally fresh start in a brand new location. She was moving to California! While the hustle and bustle of LA was too much for her laid-back style, she’d liked the vibe in Palm Springs, where she’d attended a conference, and was also interested in checking out the smaller communities near San Diego.
“I’ll forward my flight info as soon as it’s confirmed,” Tai concluded. Hearing murmuring in the background, she added, “Sounds like we’re being interrupted.”
Vivian laughed and murmured something before speaking into the phone. “It’s Derrick, acting like a spoiled brat clamoring for attention. It’s been a long day and we finally have the house to ourselves so . . . he’s feeling neglected.” He was also feeling underneath Vivian’s top in search of her breasts, but Vivian figured some facts were best left unsaid.
“Say no more,” Tai said, as she tamped down a twinge of loneliness at the thought that no one was clamoring for her attention. “Give Derrick my love. You two have a good night.”
“Can’t wait to see you, sis.” Vivian put down the receiver and turned to her husband, who was gently squeezing one nipple as he reached for the band of her lounging pants. “What are you doing?”
“Isn’t it obvious, woman? I’m trying to get you naked!”
“Here? In the kitchen?”
Derrick shrugged. “We’ve got the house to ourselves. I figured this is about as good a place as any.”
He pulled the string that held up Vivian’s pants and gave a tug. They slid down to her hips and he didn’t hesitate to take advantage. Pulling her against him, he reached inside to palm the luscious behind that had attracted him in the first place . . . over twenty years ago. Vivian moaned and offered up her mouth for a kiss. Derrick took the cue and licked her thick lips before pressing his mouth against hers and using his tongue to force an opening. She quickly complied, lazily placing one arm around his neck while the other moved across his back, down his arm, and settled dangerously close to the family jewels. He broke the kiss long enough to push Vivian’s pants down to her ankles. She stepped out of them, relieving herself of her top as she did so. Her nipples were hard and at full attention, something that Derrick immediately acknowledged with his tongue. He sucked the nub into his mouth before circling her areola with agonizing precision. Not wanting the other nipple to feel ignored, he lightly ran his thumb back and forth, over and again, while he plundered Vivian’s mouth like a ravenous carnivore in a gourmet meat shop. And once again . . . .he broke the kiss. This time it was to lay Vivian’s soft, hot body on top of the cool, hard granite of the kitchen island. She hardly felt the rock, so caught up was she in the fact that Derrick had placed her legs over his shoulders and had lowered his head to “acknowledge” another set of lips. Their moans mingled as his sure, stiff tongue parted her folds and lapped her nectar. Slow and easy. Fast and light. He parted her legs wider still and went deeper, licking, nibbling, sucking, driving her crazy. The light fuzz from his rapidly growing hair tickled the inside of Vivian’s thighs and added to the sensation of feelings. She grabbed his head and pressed him into her, even as her own head was thrown back in ecstasy, all thoughts gone except for those of the man she loved and what he was doing to her. Right. Now.
“Oh! Baby I’m...” Vivian’s words faded as a frenetic energy spiraled within her core, causing her legs to shake and her toes to curl. “Ahhhhhhh!” The orgasm was prolonged and intense, so much so that she didn’t even realize Derrick had stepped away and shed his clothes until he came back, lifted her off the island and marched them to the dining room that had been filled to capacity just hours ago.
“Stay on your knees,” he whispered, as he gingerly sat Vivian down on a large corner chair. Before she could protest or question he was inside her, nine inches of thick dickalicious slamming into her core. Vivian grabbed the chair and tossed back her hair, giving as good as she got, grinding herself against him, trying to love the man she’d almost lost with every fiber of her being. He reached around and slid a finger along her wet folds, massaging her nub as he pounded her insides. “So good,” he whispered, kissing the back of her neck, now sweaty from their feverish ride. “So. Good.” He slowed down, pulled out, and then slid back in one inch at a time.
“Um...”
He did it again.
“Derrick, please.”
He chuckled, pulling all the way out yet again. “What?”
“You know what?!” Vivian hissed, reaching back to find and then force him back inside her.
He ran his dick across her cheeks and along her crease. “Is this what you’re looking for?”
“Yes,” Vivian replied, pushing herself against him. “Give it to me, baby. I want it hard. I want it all.”
Derrick lifted her off the chair and sat down. “Then come and get it.” He spread his strong legs, and what Vivian wanted between said strong legs waved a strong and hearty greeting. Wasting no time, she straddled Derrick and the chair and eased herself down on the blessing that God had created and then called good.
It sure is.
She looked deep into Derrick’s eyes as she rode him, slowly . . . methodically . . . as if they had all the time in the world. Derrick let her take the lead. For a while. Until he too wanted it hard, and wanted it all. Then he grabbed her hips and led the dance as Vivian jumped and Derrick pumped with the kind of sexual healing that Marvin spoke about. As Derrick increased the rhythm, Vivian felt another explosion building, this one seeming to start at the balls of her feet and shooting through the roots of her hair. They came together, Derrick pushing in as deep as he could and Vivian holding him just as tight with her inner walls as the arms that were around his neck. It was an amazing moment, as if they saw stars and heard trumpets. In the midst of their sex-induced haze, both knew they’d heard something. Was it their own heartbeats? The scraping of the chair against the floor? Or was it . . .
“Derrick? Vivian?”
No!
Vivian’s eyes widened.
Crap!
Derrick’s eyes closed.
She jumped off his lap and Derrick was hot on her tail. They ran into the kitchen and scooped up their scattered clothing as the footsteps of Vivian’s parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Victor Stanford, came closer. With time running out and options limited, preacher extraordinaire Derrick Montgomery and Sanctity of Sisterhood founder and flawless first lady Vivian Montgomery did what any upstanding, fearless couple would do when faced with the prospect of parents finding them naked. They ducked into the pantry!
“I thought you said they were going to the movies,” Derrick hissed.
“That’s what they told me,” Vivian retorted, trying without much success to put on thongs in the dark. Her foot got caught in the string, causing her to hop on one leg. She stumbled into Derrick, who in throwing up his arm to catch her, knocked a slew of canned goods off the shelf.
“Vivian! Derrick! Is that you?” Vivian’s mother’s voice was closer. Too close. It sounded like she was in the kitchen.
“Shh, don’t answer,” Derrick whispered against her ear.
“You think?” was Vivian’s sarcastic retort.
Then, into the silence a snicker. Followed by another.
“Stop laughing,” Vivian warned her husband, even as her own lips curled into a grin. “I mean it, you’ll make me laugh out loud.”
“Okay,” Derrick said, though his whole body was now shaking with the force of his mirth.
“Stop it,” Vivian admonished, but soon she was holding her hand over her mouth to keep from busting out laughing and blowing their cover while Derrick’s amusement sent him to his knees.
“Where are they?” Vivian heard her father ask.
“I thought they were in here,” her mother replied. “I heard a noise, some type of rumbling or something.”
“You’re always hearing something,” her father said. “You’re one of the scariest women I know. They’re probably upstairs, in bed. Where we should be. Come on, let’s go.”
“All right, dear.”
Derrick and Vivian held their breath and waited as the sound of voices and footsteps receded into the distance. After about five minutes, Derrick peeked his head out of the pantry. When it seemed the coast was clear, he reached back for Vivian’s hand and, like errant teenagers on a forbidden date, they sneaked into their own bedroom in their own house where they proceeded to laugh and make love and laugh again ... until the wee hours of the morning.
“Why are you trippin’? Just go in there and pee on that thing. How hard can that be?!” An exasperated Kelvin plopped down on the bed.
“But what if it comes back positive?” Princess asked, her voiced filled with trepidation.
“Then you’re pregnant,” Kelvin deadpanned.
“But what if it comes back negative?”
“And this from a
NYT
best-selling author who graduated from UCLA. Are you serious?”
“I’m scared, Kelvin.”
“What’s there to be scared of?”
“I don’t know.”
But in reality, Princess knew exactly why this situation had her so freaked out. Ever since she’d missed her period, she’d thought that she was pregnant. When she’d almost cursed Joni out for a simple, innocuous comment made in jest, she was almost sure of it. And while Princess would be happy and proud to carry Kelvin’s child, the very thought of doing so conjured up memories of another time. Another pregnancy test. And another child.
“I do know,” Princess acknowledged, walking over to join Kelvin on the bed. “I’m remembering the last time I did this, that Christmas we spent with your family in Germany. Remember?” Kelvin slowly nodded, avoiding her eyes. “I was so afraid then, just like now, and your mother helped me through it. She could relate, you know, and calmed me down. It helped having her there.”
Kelvin sat up and took Princess’s small hand in his much larger one. “I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you then, Princess. Not like I should have been. We were both young, didn’t know nothing. The scouts were hounding me.”
Chicks were trippin’ and everywhere I turned.
“So much was going on. I wish I hadn’t talked you into having an abortion.”
