The sweating and activity had sobered me up quite a bit, especially since I had consumed two bottles of water.
I almost felt like I was in my early twenties again.
I hadn’t had a second wind in quite some time.
“Party isn’t over yet!
Even if no one wants to get down and dirty, we can still party until everyone is either too tired or too intoxicated to go on.
You guys are welcome to stay awhile.”
She smiled.
“I think Clint would be happy if we stayed.
If I wanted to leave now, I’d probably have to pull his big ass out of here kicking and screaming.”
She made me laugh.
I liked Grace so far.
“Man, that sushi is so good.
I’m going to go grab some more and a drink.
I’ll be right back.
Can I get you anything?”
“What are you getting to drink, hun?”
“I was thinking about a mango martini.
I saw mango juice and mango flavored vodka in there.”
“That sounds delicious.
I’ll take one of those.
Thank you very much.”
I hurried, throwing sushi on a plate and mixing the drinks.
I used a spare plate as a drink tray and carried the goods out to the balcony.
Grace was quick to take the drink plate out of my hand so I didn’t spill.
“Thank you.
I was starting to think I should have taken two trips.”
“Nonsense.
We’re women.
We can do anything.”
She gave me a wink and handed me my martini when I put the plate down.
“Don’t know if you like sushi, but I filled the plate up.”
“Love it, as a matter of fact.
That ice is all but completely melted.
When the temperature of the sushi starts to drop, you need to throw it away.
It is no good once it gets warm.
It’ll make you sick and you don’t want that.”
She took a sip of her drink.
“Thanks for the tip.”
“Hell fire!
That’s delicious.”
She said before taking another sip of her martini.
“Thanks.”
“Girl, you’re dangerous.”
She laughed.
“Yes she is!”
John said laughing as he came onto the balcony.
“Can I join you ladies?”
“John, this is Grace.
Grace, this is my boyfriend, John.”
“The guy with the magic pecker.
Nice to meet you.”
She nodded at him.
“Magic pecker?”
I nearly spit my drink.
“He just brought three women to orgasm.
I’d say that’s a magic damn pecker.”
John blushed.
I was baffled because I’d never heard a woman refer to a man’s package as a pecker.
I thought that was only reserved for guys for some reason.
“Thank you, Grace.”
“So you’re the one I have to thank for the fifty year old single malt scotch?”
Clint raised his glass to me.
“I’m glad you like it.”
The air was starting to cool.
The DJ has turned his music down enough that the ocean waves could be heard crashing on the shore.
Everyone had now congregated on the balcony to cool off.
Looking down I saw James and Janette coming out of the lagoon, which had been lit with blue lights.
They were holding hands as they came out of the water.
From a distance, they looked like a young newlywed couple as James scooped her up and carried her through the sand.
It brought a smile to my face.
I could see that for them, this was a romantic getaway.
All these naked horny people running around and they chose to spend intimate time together.
Clearly, their priorities were straight.
“Friends of yours?” Grace asked noticing me staring.
“Yes actually.
It’s sweet to see them together like that.
I know it’s not like watching sex, but it’s voyeuristic in a way, to watch them being so intimate with each other.
It’s not had to see that they are in love.
It just makes me smile.”
“Hell, I see more of that here than I do anywhere else.
While this is dirty sex, it is another level of intimacy in a way.”
I could see that she was being serious.
“How so?”
“It’s another form of sharing, Candy.
It also shows an immense amount of trust to allow your partner to have sex with others, and yet trust them not to betray you.
There are a lot of couples who could never get here.
It’s not for lack of wanting, it’s for lack of trust in either themselves or their partner.
You have to have a very secure relationship to enjoy the lifestyle.”
There was that word again.
“I guess I can understand that aspect.”
“Can I try your drink?” Mira interrupted.
“Sure,” I said handing her my glass.
“Oh my God, that’s good.
Can I have one?”
Relaxation time was over.
It was time to put my hostess hat back on.
When I stood from my chair, my garter broke slapping me hard in the butt.
I screeched and jumped.
Everyone laughed.
“Oh honey, I hate it when that happens.
Hurts like the dickens!”
Grace said as she rubbed the red spot on my ass.
“Ouchy,” I whined.
Sucking it up, I went in and made two shakers of the mango martinis and poured several glasses.
Thankfully, the ladies came in to retrieve them so I didn’t have to deliver them all.
“Candy, you may be a successful Advertising Executive, but if you ever lost your job, you’d be a hell of a bar tender!
Those espresso martinis were the bomb and these martinis put those to shame.”
“What’s an espresso martini?” Grace asked.
I snickered.
“Thanks to me, they’re now on the menu.
Order one tomorrow down at the bar.
I’d make you one now, but there’s no espresso machine here.
Plus, I’ve got a good hour left in me, but then I’d like to go to sleep and it would be very hard to do that with espresso running through my system.”
We’d managed to wipe out almost the entire buffet, all of the champagne and had now tapped into the hard liquor.
Maybe it was the food, maybe it was all the activity, but I found myself surprised none of the guests were rip roaring drunk by now.
“Did we really go through all that?” Grace asked.
“Crazy, right?
Everyone is having a good time, but I’m a little shocked no one is face down in the bathroom.”
Grace laughed, “Honey, we’ve all be eating fruit, which helps you stay hydrated, carbs from the croissants
and protein which slows down the absorption of alcohol.
Your spread was perfect for the party.
Haven’t you noticed that people have been snacking through the evening?
That’s really helped.
Perfect party planning.”
Janette knew her stuff.
“That and the fact that they pump oxygen in the rooms, just like the casinos.
Helps keep you awake.”
“What?”
“Yes, the casinos do it so you stay awake and gamble.
The resort does it so you can stay awake and maximize your stay.
By tomorrow, you’ll notice people napping on the beach.
My first year here, I was confused.
It seemed I could only get good sleep outside.”
“That’s pretty damn smart, how did you figure it out?”
“I started complaining to the front desk.
They suggested I sleep with the patio doors open.
It worked like a charm.
Clint actually figured it out after that.
He used to work security in Vegas.
So he went poking around and found the oxygen room.
Must cost them a fortune.
You don’t really see to many tankers out this way.”
“How much did this trip cost you?” I asked.
She eyed me for a moment and then smiled.
“Someone else paid for your trip?”
I nodded.
“Fifteen grand before travel for two weeks.
That’s quite a friend to give you such a gracious gift.”
Grace eyed me suspiciously.
“You didn’t know?”
“I’m…just…fifteen grand?
Really?”
Grace laughed, her red hair falling in her face.
“Oh honey, you’re beside yourself.”
“Yeah, you could say that.
There were two first class plane tickets too.
Don’t get me wrong, I could afford it.
But damn.”
Where in the hell did Janette get her money?
That’s thirty grand for the four of us plus another couple of grand in airfare.
“Like I said, that’s quite a friend to have.”
“I’m going to hit the Jacuzzi, if it’s still warm.
Care to join me?”
I wanted to change the subject and get back to enjoying myself.
“Honey, it’ll stay warm as long as it’s on.
Those are heated jets.
If you ask for chlorine tablets, you can keep it full the whole time you’re here.
I prefer clean water each time and the maid service sanitizes it each time.
That, and the humidity and chlorine smell get to you after a bit.”
“Yeah, I don’t want my room to smell like a pool.”
“Don’t forget your drink,” she said handing it to me on the way to the tub.
I thanked her before stripping off the garter and hose.
The water was still pleasantly warm.
It soothed muscles that were starting to feel sore from the night’s events.
Grace came in from behind me, her breasts floating on the top of the water.
“Damn things are like life rafts.”
She said sinking to her chin.
“See, they’re pulling me to the top.”
I couldn’t help but giggle.
“We should have dinner together sometime before we leave.
I really enjoy your company,” she said.
“Smart women are not in abundance around here.
There’s a whole lot of arm candy.
Don’t get me wrong, they’re fun to play with, but not so fun to talk to.”
“Right.”
Kayla came to mind.
“I’m sorry, did that sound snooty?”
“No, I was just thinking of a Barbie doll I met today.
She was very annoying.”
She nodded, taking a sip of her martini.
“Exactly.
It isn’t hard to read some books so you don’t sound like someone with a sixth grade education.
Hell, all I have is a sixth grade education.
At least I can intelligently verbalize an idea.”
“No way?
Sixth grade?”
“Honey, I had a rough life.
Momma died when I was young.
Daddy was a wicked drunk.
So I took off for the hills.
Lived in the woods with Clint’s family for a few years runnin’ shine.
Then I decided I wanted more.
I didn’t want to be barefoot and pregnant at fourteen.”
