Chapter 7

Ethan closed his locker, unable to think about much else than that awesome cock he had in his mouth the day before. It was exactly like Ethan imagined it would be. Quite large. Thick. Veiny. With a beautiful cockhead, all dark and glistening. Ethan could lick it all day. He put his hand on the closed locker, imagining his tongue sliding into the slit and lapping off the bead of precome. Maybe next time Rob could come on his lips so he could enjoy every drop.

The break bell ringing took him out of the fantasy, but the moment he turned around to go to class, the man of his dreams was right there, at the end of the corridor and coming toward him, surrounded by his friends. Ethan didn’t even care all that much that he’d never be a part of that group. He and Rob had a secret that even Rob’s best friend Chris would never know of. They were laughing about something as they went through the corridor like a herd of magnificent stallions, big and handsome in their matching sweaters. Ethan melted into the locker, trying to fade into the background, but then he saw a glint of recognition in Robert’s eyes, followed by a smile so bright that he stopped breathing. Seemingly uncaring that someone could see them, Robert winked at him. Ethan’s eye got half-lidded of its own accord, and he smiled back, his mind drifting off to the vision of licking Rob’s cockhead for hours at a time.

Rob’s eyes stayed on him for a moment too long, and suddenly he stumbled forward. If it weren’t for his quick reflexes, he’d be on the floor.

Ethan bit back a grin. Was that his doing? Was his blow job really that amazing? Ethan would make them even better. If he were to practice on the real thing only once a week, he would still have time to polish his technique. One thing was certain of, he would suck every second out of that experience and enjoy it, no strings attached. He was too busy for proper dating anyway so the thing he had with Robert made everything easier.

He turned around and followed the group of jocks, since they took the same class anyway. Home Economics. Super boring. There was one thing that he enjoyed though. Getting a good view of Rob’s ass. The buttocks swayed under the denim just right to tickle Ethan’s imagination. Would he get to see them? Maybe he could propose to give Rob a massage next time? Rob did say he had no problems with nudity.

“Just ask her, she likes you,” said Robert, patting one of his friends on the shoulder. “Or, you could think of something fancy, but that’s up to you.”

“Have you asked Kelly yet?” Chris elbowed Rob.

Not the prom again.
Ethan wasn’t even sure he wanted to go, but his mom was nagging him about just how much he would miss out if he didn’t.

“I don’t know. She’s probably already taken for the prom.” Rob stretched with a loud yawn. “We could go together if she doesn’t have a date.”

“You’re such an ass,” another one of the guys moaned. “Of course she’s waiting for you to ask her.”

“We’re just friends. I’ve known her for years, and I’m not gonna blow that by suddenly trying to get into her pants.”

Pat groaned. “Come on, man. Why not? There’s only a few months left till graduation. Just seal the deal already.”

“There is no deal. It would be like dating my sister. I will ask her to go as friends if that’ll stop you from nagging me about it.”

Ethan watched them as they all entered the class, which already smelled of vegetables. They were supposed to be learning about making some soup today. And Kelly was right there, smiling the moment Rob walked into class. The worst thing was that she wasn’t even some stupid cheerleader Ethan could quietly despise. She was a nice arty girl with cute T-shirts and a stud in her nose, yet still had an amazing figure and an ass even cuter than her T-shirts. Fuck.

Robert dumped his bag at his usual station and walked all the way to the back of the class to meet her. Ethan couldn’t believe how a guy could be so sexy while trying to be all cool and casual, but Robert was. He leaned his hand on the tabletop and started talking to her.  And even though there was no way for Ethan to hear them, the way Kelly’s face lit up told him exactly what happened.

Ethan wanted to puke into the pot waiting for him at the desk, but what did he expect? Many girls dreamed of Robert Hunter inviting them to prom, but everyone knew there was no one closer to him than Kelly. Ethan pulled his hair back into a bun, so it wouldn’t fall into the food, and rolled up his sleeves. He didn’t look up when Rob walked past him to organize his workspace. Ethan wished he could just put on his headphones and stop caring about the stupid lesson. It was nobody’s fault that he was crushing on a guy who was mostly straight, but why would it happen to
him
of all people?

Ethan had always thought Rob was hot, no doubt about that, but it was the getting to know him bit (and the sucking his cock bit) that changed the game and slowly morphed out of lust into something he didn’t even know how to name. This wasn’t what he had planned. He’d planned revenge in the form of getting great blow jobs from a stupid yet irresistible jock. Unfortunately for Ethan, Robert Hunter turned out to be insanely nice. He helped Ethan up the freaking stairs, cleaned up his broken glass, and liked his elk project, and all that after Ethan had forced him into gayness. This was really confusing, and Ethan found it hard to focus on the teacher’s instructions. Who cared about some stupid soup, when there were such serious issues to deal with?

The first onion and carrot were the victims of Ethan’s rage, though he did have to pay special attention not to cut up his fingers.

The other students were chatting to one another, and their voices blended in with the simmering of water in a dozen kettles, the anachronism of chopping, smells of tomatoes and stock that were becoming ever sharper, the sting of tears in Ethan’s eye as the onion started getting the best of him. One thing that stood out was the sharp, regular
staccato
of a knife hitting the cutting board with the precision of a metronome. Ethan’s gaze followed the sound until they reached the slightly slouched line of Rob’s body. He was motionless, only his right hand making quick, precise movements with the knife.

Ethan was always amazed at Rob’s skills in this stuff. They brought Ethan’s sandwiches to shame. Even watching Rob wasn’t making time go any faster in this stupid class.

But then time did go faster. Next second it was ten minutes later, the water in Ethan’s pot was boiling, and he was holding a vegetable he couldn’t even name. Panic rose in his throat like bile.
No, no, no, no. Not now
. He looked to the other students, trying to work out what he’d been doing.

“Ethan, are you all right?” asked the teacher, frowning at him from behind her thick-lensed glasses.

He drew in a sharp breath, his vision shaking slightly as he looked around, at all the faces that were now turned toward him as if he were some kind of freak show.

“I’m fine!” he hissed louder than he wanted to and put down the knife, completely confused.

“Ethan, please keep you attitude in check. Just follow the instructions I’ve given,” said the teacher.

What fucking instructions? What was the next step?
Sweat beaded on his forehead, his hands trembling, heart thudding like he’d just gotten electrocuted.

There was a loud shuffling from the side, but he didn’t care. All he wanted was to remember what happened in the minutes he’d lost. He closed his eye, breathing in and out. In and out. A bang of something hitting the table in front of him jerked his eye open and he found himself face to chest with Robert. There were two sets of utensils on the tabletop in front of him, and Rob bent toward him with a slight frown.

“You all right?”

Ethan’s heart instantly started racing. “I-I sort of lost the plot,” he whispered, his panic rising along with the excitement about Robert actually talking to him in public.

Robert nodded. “Okay. I’m almost done with mine. Is it okay if I help you?” he asked with that serious, concerned face.

“If you have time, I mean… yes… I don’t know what this is anymore.” Ethan rubbed his forehead, breathing in deeply, trying to find balance, to find the lost ten minutes. It was like having a rug pulled out from underneath his feet, and Robert was there to catch him.

“Don’t worry, it’s all good.” Robert started swiftly rearranging the items on the worktable to make some space for chopping. “Maybe you want some water?”

How did Robert know Ethan had a problem? Was Robert actually paying attention to him? “No, I think it’s all right. Thanks,” he uttered and couldn’t help but glance back at Kelly, who stared at them with worry in her eyes.

“You okay?” she mouthed, blissfully unaware of what Robert was secretly doing with Ethan. All she saw was that her future boyfriend was caring and helpful. What a dream he was.

Ethan slowly nodded and looked back at Rob, who started explaining to Ethan what needed to be done, but it was hard to focus with the amazing way Rob smelled. Rob’s body exuded heat and something so masculine Ethan would gladly kneel for him right here.

Rob himself was chopping Ethan’s greens and from this close, it was easy to see how efficient he was at it. Ethan would have chopped his fingers off if he tried to do it at the same speed. Even before the accident.

“How do you like your soup?” asked Rob.

“Huh? Tasty?” Ethan looked at him, still confused by the lost time.

Rob blinked. “But... you know, any spices you like? Do you take it with cream? Pasta?”

“Parsley? Maybe?” Ethan felt like an idiot. “How do you know all this?”

Robert shrugged. “From my mom.” He finished the last of the vegetables and slid them into the pot.

“You’re so good at it,” Ethan whispered with a smile, trying to hide his anxiety.

Robert chuckled, and it seemed that the sound made him radiate more of the delicious scent of his masculine body. “It’s nothing. You learn to cook when there’s no one to make you dinner, and you want to stay healthy.” He walked away to the spice rack and started picking out some pots.

“I can barely boil an egg. The sandwiches were the pinnacle of my skills.” Ethan stirred the vegetables in the water so it wouldn’t look like he was doing nothing.

Robert ran back to the table and put the spices on the counter. He opened the first one and sprinkled the soup with some dried parsley. “It’s a useful skill.” He winked.

“I know, I know. I should learn.” Ethan licked his lips. “So I can impress my future partner one day.” He pouted, unsure of how that came out. Maybe it was too much information for Robert? But all he got was a smile.

“It works wonders.”

“Good looking, caring, and cooks? Jackpot, right?” Ethan muttered and stirred the soup like there was no tomorrow.

“Give it a rest, it’s on medium heat anyway,” said Robert, who was measuring small amounts of each of the spices he took and putting them on a plate.

Ethan instantly stopped, feeling like an idiot. His head still had that weird tingle after the lapse. “Oh. I thought… it would stick to the bottom if it’s not stirred?” He looked up into Rob’s eyes.

“Only if there’s not enough water.” Robert added a bit of oil to the pot, put the mixture of spices away, and collected the small jars. “Stir only from time to time.”

“Okay.” Ethan sucked in his lips with heat building up in his body, and it was not from standing too close to the soup. Everyone had to be watching them, but he was too anxious to look around.

“It would have been even better if we made stock ourselves, but that would take too much time,” uttered Rob.

“How can you make stock? Do you dry out broth?” In a parallel universe, Ethan put an arm under Rob’s letter jacket and stroked his hot skin.

Robert bit back a laugh. “Come on... no... you cook meat with certain vegetables and herbs and then you filter it.”

“Do you have a favorite dish?” Maybe Ethan could try and order it for Rob’s next visit.

Robert bit his lip. “I’d have to think about that. I like new stuff, but good beef is always nice.”

Ethan bit back a smile. He loved good ‘beef’ as well.

Ethan sat on the bleachers, enjoying the nice weather. And watching the football practice. The soup Robert had made was so amazing Ethan could hardly comprehend it. It might have been so good because Rob didn’t really follow the teacher’s instructions and chose his own ingredients. Ethan could have Rob over every day with cooking skills like that.

Technically, Ethan was here to sketch his new rat position ideas, but he was mostly ogling Robert. He didn’t even care about the abuse he was getting from Pat every now and then, too happy about drawing a rat in Rob’s letter jacket. Maybe he could make one like that and give it to Rob as a graduation present so Rob would have something to remember him by. Not that he would, but maybe he could glance at it every now and then and think of the fun times they’d had.

Ethan enjoyed watching the football players tumble, even with all the armor on their bodies. He wondered how it would feel to be to be tackled by Robert. Into bed. The players were running through large tires, and Ethan almost broke his pen as he stared at Robert’s amazing thighs in motion. He couldn’t wait to feel them again, one time was enough for him to remember how toned they were. The memory could only be better if Rob would have taken off his shirt and showed off his chest and arms instead of always hiding them in long-sleeved shirts.
