“More.”

“Ah, Gods, you’re fucking perfect.”

She heard the drawer open and knew he was getting the cream. She smiled. He made sure to gently caress it over and inside her pussy after every time they’d had sex. His finger gently pushed the soothing cream inside her channel and over her lips. His fingers slid to her piercing, and she moaned. She was still sensitive, but he was gentle. She felt his fingers glide back to the toy.

“Push, Rain.”

She did as he pulled the toy from her body. She groaned when it came free.

“I’ll go slow. Tell me if it’s too much.”

She moaned.
Show me.

He groaned and showed her what he saw as his cock slid just inside her body. Her piercing moved, and she knew he was using his telekinetics on it as he claimed her ass. He was so much bigger and longer than the toy, but she pushed back, begging for more of the biting stretch, the manipulation of her piercing making her wild.

“So fucking hot and tight. Your ass is sucking me so good. It won’t be long before I’m filling your ass with my come.”

She was close again after only moments. His heated shaft in her ass was so much better than the toy; she felt so damn full and out of control. Claimed.

She pushed back one more time and came hard as he filled her ass. Her body spasmed when the pulsing current hit deep inside her body.

She lay there panting for long moments. “Is that electric thing normal?”

“I think it’s my beast. It’s only happened with you.” His words made her heart ache.

“You can electrocute?”

“No.”

She didn’t know what to say to that. He pulled slowly from her body, and she groaned. A wet cloth smoothed over her pussy and ass a second later. The inside of her thighs were next.

More cream from the nightstand was caressed over her ass, and she was thankful. It already felt a little achy. She’d never taken a male there, and it needed a little soothing. She felt like her heart could use a little of that special cream too. That had been intense. It was the last piece of her body she had to give, and she felt… possessed, claimed, even more than she had before. She didn’t know what to do with the emotion.

“Would you like a bath or sleep, nymph?” he asked softly.

“A bath sounds nice.”

She heard the water turn on in the bathroom and looked forward to relaxing her raw nerves.

“I’ll bring you some wine.” His lips were at her ear, and she loved the feel of his warm breath on her skin.

She got up slowly, and he watched her closely. “Wine sounds good. I just need a second.” She needed to use the restroom before getting into the tub. His getting her a glass of wine would be perfect.

She was just stepping into the water when he came in with two glasses. The temperature was perfect. She moaned and watched as he stepped into the tub with her. He just assumed that tub time was for him too. She mentally shook her head and tried not to be too happy for his comfort. He seemed to enjoy touching her all the time, and the affection was addicting.

She settled back between his thighs and rested against his chest, taking what she needed whether it was wise or not.

She sipped the wine he handed her and relaxed a fraction. They sat quietly for long minutes, and she was glad the tub fit them both comfortably.

“Drake thinks we should relocate your parents to the manor.”

She frowned. That damn bossy dragon. She closed her eyes and thought for a second before conceding that the ass was right again. If someone took her parents, she would go insane. They were odd and lived very scholarly lives. She imagined that whatever research they were doing regarding coven genealogy or logging spells could probably be done from any place. It wasn’t as if they were social and had a ton of friends. They’d always kept to themselves. She tried to keep them on their toes, shocking them as often as possible, or their lives would be entirely too boring. She smiled. Her parents were unusual, but she loved them.

“It might be a good idea. I don’t think it would disrupt them too much, and I’d rather they were safe.”

“I agree. Cyril managed to get into the cities once and abduct females. Who’s to say that whoever’s in charge won’t attempt it again?”

She cringed at the reminder of all the females the bastard had taken. Including Delia, the girl that used to work for her. She hated that Delia was dead because of that monster, but she was glad the female took the asshole out first. She’d had vengeance in the end.

“How are you feeling?”

Physically. “Fine.” Mentally, she was starting to get the sad feeling inside. Would he ever share himself with her completely?

Chapter 24

Guardian Manor, Tetartos Realm

“Alyssa, I think your damn nerves are screwing with mine. I need air. Are you two up for going out to the patio?” Rain paced from the media room toward the balcony and opened the door to the cool evening breeze. Dorian was with his brothers, going to take down Cynthia, and the stress was getting to her. She was worried for him, which was ridiculous. He would be fine. She was turning into Alyssa. The problem with that was that Alyssa and Gregoire were bonded, committed completely to each other. She just felt silly for worrying over Dorian. Rain listened to the chatter on the Guardian link and filled in Sam, since she wasn’t mated to a Guardian and couldn’t hear what was happening.

She craved the same connection that Sam and Alyssa had with their mates. Every time she had sex with the stupid guppy or they swam with the sea creatures, she ended up feeling closer to him, yet he still planned to hold out on committing to her.

“I’m all for some air,” Sam said with a bite to her tone. She, like Alyssa, was having a hard time not being out there in the fight. Rain had no such problems. She was still mortal and didn’t doubt for a second that she’d be a huge liability.

“Come on, Havoc.” Sam called Uri’s hellhound. He bounded off the couch and looked just as happy to get out as she was. The hound had only gotten to take Erik and Alex to Earth before Uri brought him back to sit with them.

Rain closed the balcony door and walked downstairs and out to the courtyard. It felt so much better, easier to breathe out there.

The three of them sat in patio chairs. She didn’t know Sam well, but what she did know, she liked. The female was from Earth, and Rain remembered her saying that her parents were relocating to Tetartos.

“When do you think your parents are going to get here?” she asked Sam.

“Actually, I think I’ve convinced them to stay on Earth and move into one of the coven communities there. I just don’t think they’d be happy being so isolated out here.” Sam looked pensive.

A lot had changed in the last week.

Sam continued, “They have so many more conveniences there, and Drake would have wanted them to live here in one of the cottages. It just sounded too much like roughing it for my mom, who likes her malls. When they thought there would be no chance for me to see them again, it made sense.” She said the last on a whisper. No one was allowed to know that Havoc could take passengers to the other Realm. It was strictly guarded information, but for Sam it would be the only way to see her family.

Rain nodded. Her parents had agreed to move. She and Alyssa had gone to see them the day before. It wasn’t smart to be seen with Dorian, though she worried whether the scene at Paradeisos was being spread into the Realm. Supposedly Tynan squashed it, and Cesaro was being kept silent along with a handful of others that had seen her being hauled out of there over Dorian’s shoulder.

Nothing dangerous had happened on her visit.

A small smile tilted her lips, thinking about her parents’ reaction at asking them to move. The news that Dorian was her mate shocked them, but they’d smiled and hugged her tight. It was the move that had them sitting silently for several long minutes, assessing. She knew they were analyzing the shit out of every bit of information she’d given them, including the size of the cottage and whether it would accommodate their books. Dorian arranged for them to have the cottage she’d been staying in. It was the biggest one available. After lengthy debate, they agreed that it was a workable option. She’d told them to pack, but not tell anyone they were moving. It would have to be quick and somewhat quiet.

Rain scratched Havoc’s butt, which he’d pointed in her direction when she sat down. She thought about what Sam said about Earth and sighed wistfully. “I can’t imagine what it’s like to go to a mall and try on shoes and clothes. Oh, and go to clubs, or amusement parks, or even a movie theater.”

Sam chuckled. “I kind of took that stuff for granted. I do miss some things, just not the traffic or the smog,” the blonde said. “Fighting hours of traffic every day to sit in a tiny cubicle isn’t pleasant, but sadly it sounds wonderful now that I’ve got nothing useful to do. I’m really starting to hate that Erik won’t teach me to fight. He just growls and postures. Alex finally took me to the gym and showed me some sparring moves. I was a jogger not a gym-goer. I’ve never fought anyone in my life or even hit a punching bag, so needless to say, I suck.” She looked frustrated.

“At least I have my business. You’re both welcome to slave away for me. I have plenty you can do,” Alyssa said.

Both she and Sam looked at each other and chuckled.

Her friend frowned at them. “What? You two have better ideas?” She actually snorted at their lack of enthusiasm, which only caused more laughter to erupt from them.

“It’s really sweet of you to offer, but I wouldn’t know what to do with a needle and thread.”

Alyssa’s mouth dropped open, appalled, which brought tears of mirth to Rain’s eyes. “Really? I’m not so backwards that I don’t have sewing machines.” She huffed. “Gregoire set me up with the most advanced equipment.” She puffed up talking about her sewing room and what her mate had done.

In between fits of hysterics, Rain defended her friend. “I’ve seen it. He went crazy buying stuff. Half of it she doesn’t even know how to use.” She didn’t realize how much she needed to laugh. It felt good.

“Of course I do. I read the damn instructions. I’ve decided that one machine is simply defective.”

The three of them had a hard time stopping the laughter once it started. It relieved a lot of the anxiety she was feeling with Dorian on Earth. She knew she could still communicate with him, but she didn’t want to distract him in the middle of a fight. She didn’t like what they’d said about Cynthia using advanced weapons with the potential to do serious damage to an Immortal. They might even be able to sever his head, which meant death. Immortality wasn’t infallible.

Chapter 25

Guardian Manor, Tetartos Realm

Brianne woke in a small bed that was definitely not hers. She scanned her surroundings before deciding it was fine to move. She was groggy as hell. What happened? Her muscles were stiff, and her ass was planted in the infirmary. That meant she’d been injured. Mentally taking stock, she knew that all her limbs were where they were supposed to be, and she didn’t feel anything wrong. She whipped the thin blanket off and scowled at the horrendous gown they’d put her in. Why not leave her naked? She wasn’t shy. Her brothers never helped Sirena with her healing, and those were the only ones she might be slightly skeevy about seeing her nude. Once her brain started working, she’d call her sister and bitch-slap her for putting her in the stupid getup.

She shook her head, trying to clear the fog in her mind. She stretched and inhaled deeply, surprised at catching the one scent she’d grown to crave. It was dangerous to her, but so intoxicating. More now than ever before. Her heart stuttered, and she jumped from the bed, her muscles feeling the pull, but she didn’t give a shit. She whipped aside the curtain that obscured the top of the bed next to her. She knew what she’d find. Who. Her brain was so damned fuzzy. Had Sirena given her drugs?

She tried to shake off the cobwebs as she searched Vane’s face and sheet-covered body for whatever injury had landed him in the bed next to hers. She didn’t find anything. Her stomach clenched as she listened to his steady breathing and tried to relax.

He was sleeping and didn’t appear injured. He had to have already healed. What the hell were they doing there? She didn’t dare touch him, keeping her distance was a necessary precaution. The last thing she needed was him waking up to her pawing at him as if she cared. She scoffed at that thought, but the draw to touch him was stronger than it had ever been. Something was making his scent so much more intoxicating than before, and it was affecting her hormones.

She frowned. His beautiful golden hair was splayed out on the pillow. His eyes were closed, and his jaw had a day’s worth of stubble. She balled her fists to stop from feeling what it was like. He was too fussy to allow whiskers. She really wanted to do more than touch that rough hair; she’d much rather hop in the bed right beside him and do wicked things to him as he slept. She grinned at such deviant thoughts. She stretched her arms over her head again and tried to think while working to shake off her weird reactions. Why were they there? The stubble meant Vane might not have been there long, right? Unless someone shaved him. Damn, that could have happened. Her aching muscles indicated that she’d been there well over a few days.

Blips of memory started coming back to her.
The fight, hell beasts, and then Vane there fighting alongside her. The rush, then irritation at being tossed out of danger. Him getting distracted, and the ofioeidis biting down, so close to his head. She’d panicked; the beasts hadn’t been the same as the ones she fought before, a new breed, so much stronger than the others. Blinding terror racked her as she and her brothers cut the beast’s head off and dislodged the venomous teeth from Vane’s flesh. She’d shouted at him, furious that he’d gotten hurt. The bastard wasn’t supposed to get injured, ever. She’d wanted to mutilate the beast for harming her male. No, not hers, never hers, but her mind hadn’t been rational. Obviously, or she would never have ripped his leather aside and sucked at the poison as quickly as she could. With venom, every fucking second counted. She’d split blood and venom over and over as her brothers watched. Now they knew. She’d been avoiding that. Never wanting them ever to know about the relationship, her weakness. It had all started out as something forbidden. She should have exiled him from Earth; instead she’d met and screwed him like a bitch in heat every damn chance she’d gotten in the last century. Damn! Damn. Drake and her brothers would know what she felt. They’d pity her. She’d been too demented to guard her emotions when trying to help him.
