The lore I’ve built around the Damselfly Society and Merry Peacock’s Druidic Order are a product of my imagination. That imagination has been informed by very real history and many of the modern Druidic societies in existence today. I have blended pagan themes for this story, both modern and old. To some extent, as far as a philosophy for life goes, I think the pagans got it right.

One thing I know for certain: Love prevails and it’s a precious resource we can replenish on our own.

Merry Meet~Happy Reading and Thanks for taking this Journey with Me,

Leigh.

One of the modern Druid societies I drew information from, but did not try to represent in any way is,
The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids.
This is a particularly inclusive group. I can’t help but be drawn to the way they embrace life in all its forms. Worth a look.

And a Special Thanks to the Artist, Paul Borda of
Dryad Designs.
He gave generously of his time and knowledge when there was little reason for him to do so. Any screw-ups in runic translation are my own and not the work of this fine man. Check him out. His blend of Celtic~Norse Artistry Rocks! (Note: Runic font available in print only)

I consulted and read widely to weave bits of lore, magic and history into this book. Any and all errors are my own. Thanks again for reading.
