That's when I noticed Sally Gertz sitting in the seat in front of me. Like everyone else, she was dressed up for her big-screen debut.

I leaned forward and tapped her shoulder. “Mrs. Gertz?”

She looked back. “Yes?”

“Remember that realistic fall you did at the beginning of the movie?” I didn't wait for her reply. Instead I handed her the flowers. “These are for a fine actress at her movie premiere.”

Mrs. Gertz gasped. “Why, thank you, Frank.”

I patted her shoulder and leaned back in my chair. As I glanced over, I saw Joe smiling at me.

“Nice,” he whispered.

I smiled back and then settled in to watch the movie.
