My earpiece vibrated. “Yes, but try not to talk to me, Sam. Getting Kendra to leave the club won’t be easy.”
“Do you doubt my skills to woo her?” The naughtiness in my voice surprised me. Whatever measures I used on Kendra, they had to work. We needed to get away from Martinez and the other scum after us.
I pinched my cheeks and stepped toward the staircase. Each step I took across the club sent a new wave of excitement through my body. Knowing I’d be proposing an offer she couldn’t refuse reminded me of what I’d have to do. I thought about where I’d touch her, how I’d tease and tantalize her. Warmth spread through my body as my heart rate quickened, unlocking my inner temptress. I needed to back door Kendra to the point of no return, and then lead her out of the club like a puppy on a leash.
“After what I heard about last week, not at all, Sam. I just wish I’d been there.”
Me too
. The memory of Kendra’s licks rekindled a tingling sensation on my nipples and between my legs. Although Gabe had made me feel even better last night, I couldn’t deny that the mere suggestion of having him and Kendra at the same time excited me.
“Perhaps a replay for you is in order,” I teased as I took my first step up.
“Your offer isn’t going unnoticed, Sam.”
“Good.” I bit my lip. Was it possible Gabe really wanted a threesome? And what has gotten into me? I’d never been so open and willing to explore a sexual relationship as badly as with Gabe. What I had with Kevin couldn’t compare because I loved him. And back then we were only juveniles learning about the meaning of true pleasure.
My legs shook. Holding onto the railing, I strained to compose my thoughts. Kendra’s bedroom seemed farther away with each step. I began to feel as if I were climbing the Eiffel Tower as the pain of my jog began to register in my thighs and calves. Blood rushed through my veins like a foaming river when I finally knocked on her door.
Kendra opened it with a welcoming smile. For a moment, I forgot about Martinez.
“Sam, what are you doing here?” She rubbed her eyes and pulled me inside.
She wore a pink robe over a matching nightgown that ended at her thighs. Her rounded bust filled every inch of fabric. The smell of Kendra’s sweet rose perfume awoke my yearnings, except today the urge became primal and insistent. “I missed you.” My voice shook. “And I needed to see you. I felt bad we didn’t get a chance to dance.”
She folded me into her arms for a lingering hug. Her cheek trailed over mine, and she kissed the corner of my mouth.
I drew my fingers up to my lips.
“I missed you too.” Kendra locked the door, and then pulled me toward the bed she’d crawled out of.
Did she think I was here for an encore? If she did, my job would be easier.
Kendra strolled to her night table and picked up a white pill. She put it on her tongue and swallowed it with a sip of water. She devoured my body with her gaze, and suddenly I felt like I would be the victim of her persuasion.
“What is that?”
“Ecstasy, you want one?”
I shook my head. “I’m not into that. Are you dealing drugs at the club?”
My earpiece vibrated. “Woo her, don’t accuse.”
“Sam, relax.” She scanned me from the bottom up before plopping down on the bed. She patted the sheets beside her. “Come here.”
I sat down, trying to quiet my breathing. Why did I feel Kendra had turned the tables on me?
“I hear you’ve been seeing Gabe,” she said.
“Yes, but I missed you.”
“Of course you did. Gabe is not ready to commit to anyone so soon after—”
I sneezed.
“Bless you.” Kendra leaned in until I could smell her sweet Sambuca breath.
I wondered how much she’d had to drink last night.
“I like it when you don’t wear a bra. Your tits are perfect.” She cupped my breast.
“Kendra!”
“They’re irresistibly flawless.”
“I have to agree with her.”
Gabe’s lust-filled voice sizzled in the earpiece.
Kendra sat cross-legged on the bed and glided her hand from my left breast to my right. Her robe scrunched up her thighs, and I could see almost all the way up to her panties. I wondered what color they were. The thought of removing them, so I could taste Kendra’s secret place again, made my pussy weep. But I was here on a mission.
“I’ve been thinking about your tits for two weeks.” I sat opposite Kendra, crossing my legs. My dress draped over my knees.
Boldly, she reached down the front of my dress, and massaged my tender mounds. She pulled down the collar and lowered her head, placing her lips around my nipple, suckling it gently before coming back up. Her breath cooled the saliva on my skin and my other nipple become erect.
I closed my eyes, losing myself to the fondling.
“They taste perfect,” she said.
“Oh my, Sam.” Gabe’s husky voice flowed through me. For a moment I remembered why I came here, but the thought disappeared as Kendra’s exquisite nibbles intensified.
“Does it mean you’ll no longer be available if you’re seeing him?” Kendra asked, lowering the other side of my dress.
I couldn’t even answer. I held my breath.
“Because I—” She kissed that nipple. “Don’t.” She kissed it again. “Want to give you up.” She pulled it with her teeth, then released.
My hard flesh sprang back.
“Samantha, your moans are making me hard. You have two minutes before I come in. You need to hurry up.”
Gabe’s voice finally reminded me of his strong hold on me last night, when he’d pinned me against the cabana. I recalled his forceful grip as he’d slid one hand under my dress. The memory was so clear yet so distant. It took all my strength to focus on my task. I forced my eyes open. “I’d like to make it work, with both of you. In fact, we have an offer for you.”
I slid my finger along Kendra’s lower lip, down her chin, her neck and the center of her cleavage.
“I like where this is going.” Kendra’s hands rested on my knees, and I leaned in toward her, letting my naked breasts press against her chest.
“I want you to watch,” I whispered in her ear, licking it from the lobe up along the cartilage.
“Watch what?” Her fingers dug into my thighs.
My hands skimmed down her hourglass waist to her legs and up her inner thighs. I kissed her, gently teasing her lips with my tongue. Reaching further, my hand touched her sex, feeling her nest of curls. She wasn’t wearing any panties.
Kendra pulled away and stared at my pleased smile.
I cupped her swelling flesh. My fingers worked the folds and I began spreading the wetness.
Kendra closed her eyes, and I knew I had her in the palm of my hand.
“Oh, Sam, that’s incredible. Watch you eat me?” she asked.
“No. Watch us fuck and then join in. Make him cum again while I lick you.”
“Promises, promises, Samantha.” Gabe chuckled.
“Seriously?” Kendra said.
I slid my finger into her. “I promise. It will be the best sex of your life.” I closed my mouth on hers, letting my lustful proposal sink in, hoping to fill her with a yearning she couldn’t deny.
She moaned inside my mouth as I worked my fingers in and out of her, slowly, rubbing my thumb on her poking nub. My other hand held her engorged breast, gently massaging her tender nipple through silk.
Kendra’s fingers dug into my thighs.
I wanted her to pet me the same way. I needed to feel the stretch of her fingers inside me. I spread my knees. With Kendra’s release on the tips of my fingers, I worked my thumb quicker, her tight pussy squeezing me inside her, feeling ready to explode.
Slowly, I pulled away from her mouth, and pushed my fingers further into her, keeping them still. “But you have to come tonight,” I whispered in her ear.
“I’ll cum all right,” Kendra whimpered.
“No, come with us. The plane leaves in two hours.” Gabe’s voice sounded from a darker corner in the room, and I pulled my hand away.
How in the world had he gotten in?
“Are you here to join us, Gabe?” Kendra giggled drunkenly. The pill she’d taken must have started working.
“We’re leaving. Now.” Gabe strolled to the bed and kissed the slick fingers I’d just pulled out of Kendra. Fire lit his silver eyes as I adjusted my clothes. He tugged at the collar of my dress, pulling the fabric over my freed breasts.
“You know I can’t just leave the club, Gabe.” Kendra shot off the bed, frowning. A surge of adrenalin seemed to have killed her desire. She crossed her arms and rushed toward the window, turning her back toward us.
Gabe clenched his hands until his knuckles whitened. “It’s only until next Friday. Tristan will restock during the week.”
She shook her head. “You can’t involve Tristan.”
“I don’t have a choice, Kendra.” Gabe stepped toward her.
At first, I thought he was going to comfort her, and try to talk some sense into her, but he pulled something out of his pocket just as Kendra turned around.
She lowered her gaze to the syringe he held before he jabbed it in her arm. “I can’t believe you’d stoop down to Tristan’s tric—” Kendra fell to the bench behind her.
Gabe caught her before she hit the seat.
“What did you do?” I asked, stunned.
“She’s sedated. I had no choice. Kendra would never leave. She’s high.” Gabe scooped Kendra into his arms.
“What about the club?”
“It’s all taken care of, Sam. Follow me.”
Gabe didn’t head for the entrance I had used; instead he weaved past the bench towards the bathroom.
“Is Martinez—?”
“Not now, Sam.” Gabe’s cold tone left a funnel of winter behind him.
I followed his quick steps through the bathroom. The faint glow of the lights from downstairs through the one-sided window lit our way.
“Open this door for me,” he instructed.
The closet?
I pulled on the handle, but it wasn’t a closet. A staircase led downstairs.
“Hurry.” Coolness remained in his tone.
I followed Gabe through the back of the club, aware of every step he took. Why was he so cold to me? Were his charms and delightful kisses all part of his master plan to keep me and Kendra safe? Was it all about work to him? A few make-out sessions didn’t mean Gabe was interested in me beyond sex. He’d given me what I wanted—no strings attached. Why did my heart feel like it had been stomped on?
I have to focus on Kendra.
Gabe carried Kendra down the steps. Her limp head wobbled up and down.
I followed him through the back door. A limo was parked beside the sidewalk. A driver held the door open for us.
“Thank you, Charlie,” Gabe said.
The chauffeur who installed new locks in my apartment seemed to be as multi-talented as my P.I.
Across the street, Martinez watched us get into the car. I hurried to lock the door behind me.
The limo sped away when Gabe tapped the black glass separating us from the driver.
I looked through the rear window and saw Martinez step into the middle of the street, hands tucked in the pockets of his black trench coat.
I thought I saw him pull something out from underneath his clothing then tuck it back in.
“Was that—?”
“Yes.” Gabe lifted Kendra’s legs to curl underneath her and covered her with a blanket. She snuggled into the seat across from me.
My legs trembled. I pressed on my knees to stop the shakes, all the while looking at clouds float in the reflections of downtown buildings we passed. I clenched my fists. What the hell was I doing?
Gabe sat beside me and wrapped me in his arms. The winter zone around him became spring.
My tension eased as I melted into his embrace like butter on a hot skillet. His musky scent reminded me of home and comfort.
“Don’t worry, Sam. I won’t let anything happen to you two.” He took my hands in his and warmed my fingers with his breath.
Gabe was back to his normal self, not cold or distant, and I wondered whether he was right that his devotion to his job would be his downfall.
I brought my knees to my chest.
Gabe uncoiled my hold and lifted me to straddle his lap. He stuffed my palms under his shirt warming my hands on his chest. “You’re freezing.”
My hands glued to his body on contact, and I leaned my head on his shoulder. Did he realize what he did to me? How each of his small gestures only stirred the butterflies in my stomach?
I’d do anything for him. I would not be able to say no to Gabe, just like I couldn’t say no to Casey. Eventually, I’d get hurt. I couldn’t see it any other way. Somehow, Gabe would find a way to hurt me, just like Casey had. But Gabe was nothing like my ex. I’d received more from Gabe in two short weeks than I had in two years with Casey. It was all so confusing. I let any nice memories of a love-filled life die with Kevin.
Kendra stirred. Her peaceful face looked like a fallen angel’s. The poor thing didn’t know she’d just been abducted. She almost had a smile on her face. I should have been a better friend; maybe she wouldn’t be in the trouble she was today.
“Will she be okay? What did you give her?” I asked him. Gabe’s brow narrowed, and he ran his hands through his hair. “A mix of muscle relaxant and a sleeping aid. She’ll be fine.”
“I hope she went to the bathroom recently.”
Gabe chuckled.
“What’s so funny?”
“You. Here we are, fleeing the country and you’re thinking about Kendra’s bathroom breaks.”
“Well, if that were me—” I said, pointing at the drool flowing down her chin, “—I wouldn’t want my bladder to let go because someone decided to knock me out.”
“She’ll only sleep a few hours into the flight. She’ll be fine, trust me.” Gabe stretched out his legs. “Kendra will be upset with us. You should prepare yourself.” His voice held a hint of apprehension.
“I can handle her,” I said.
“I bet you can.” Amusement dangled in the air.
“Where are we going? I didn’t pack anything warm.”
“I’m hoping you won’t need too many clothes.” He smirked and tightened his hold around me.
I felt a gentle flex under his jeans.
“We’re gonna miss our dinner tonight,” I said.
“I think I can find a way to make it up to you.” A playful grin stretched across his face. It seemed Gabe’s demeanor had totally shifted.
