He took his eye off the road for just a
sec and the vehicle hit a shallow puddle. All four tires lost their
traction, and the van slid on the slickened road.

In order to avoid a head on collision,
Caruso tried to the turn the wheel. They connected with an oncoming
truck which folded the front in a matter of seconds.

The windows burst upon impact, leaving
the brothers a route of escape.

They climbed feet first through the
jagged windows and escaped into the pouring rain.

The rain soothed the governor some, but
he was beginning to lose his patience. What was taking the guys so
long? He thought they should have arrived by now.

He picked up the phone and dialed their
number. But all he heard was an evil laugh.

“No!” he cried, shaking his
head.

The doors to his office flew right
open.

He heard footsteps, but he didn't see
anyone. He was yanked clean across the desk. The force that pulled
him was so strong, he wasn’t able to resist at all.

He could hear it stomp as it dragged
him along. Fighting didn’t do any good.

Phillip scoured through the streets.
The rain had finally started to slow.

Then when he came to a red stop light,
he saw three wet figures run across. The one on the end glanced
back at him. It was a very familiar face.

“That’s them!” he cried and turned the
corner.

He stepped on the gas with full
force.

He only needed the one on the end. That
was who had started the curse.

As they tried to escape to the
sidewalk, Phillip forced the vehicle forward.

It made contact with the guy he was
after. He flew and landed in someone’s lawn.

Phillip got out and ran to him. The
other two brothers were too far gone.

He stood over him with a knife in his
hand.

“Die mutha fucka!” he cried out loud
and began to stab him repeatedly.

The life slowly left his body and rain
washed away his blood.

Phillip laughed hysterically. “It’s
finally over! Finally done!”

All of a sudden, he heard his cell,
chiming through the open door of his car.

He rushed and answered it
gleefully.

“Eugene!” he cried. “I got that
bitch!”

“Good but I need to tell you something.
You also need to get somewhere safe. A curse that a person puts on
you can still last for four more hours. Everyone involved is still
in danger.”

Phillip immediately thought of his
dad.

“Shit!” he shouted, his smile fading.
“Shit Eugene! It’s after my dad!”

He pulled away and rushed to the
office. He hoped everything was still alright.

“Please God!” he cried as he drove.
“Not my dad! He’s all I’ve got.”

The governor’s knees and shins were
skinned as the force pulled him up the steps.

Security tried to get to him, but
suffered an outbreak once they did. Boils grew on the surface of
their skin and inflated as fast as water balloons. Then the sores
started to leak.

The guards fell down in excruciating
pain.

The governor was taken to the top of
the building. His eyes got as big as saucers.

“No!” he cried, shaking his
head.

Nonetheless, it hoisted him
up.

Phillip had just gotten out of the car
when he heard the sound of a window shatter.

Something wearing a colored suit was
falling fast towards the lawn.

It landed on the ground with a heavy
thud.

Phil darted towards it in a
hurry.

It was noticeable from a few feet
away.

Phillip then picked up his
pace.

“Dad!” he yelled, kneeling down.
“Please God!” he cried as he stirred. “Please don’t let it kill my
dad.”

In his mind, he had a sudden flashback
of the day the guy had barged into the office. He was also on hands
and knees, pleading they didn’t kill his dad.

Karma had struck its final blow as
Phillip’s father closed his eyes. His body grew entirely
stiff.

Phillip screamed towards the
sky.

ONE MONTH LATER

“I never thought this day would come,”
Phillip said, nudging Eugene.

They were outside in a massive crowd,
watching as Brian got sworn in.

“He’ll never fill your father’s
shoes.”

“Tell me about it,” Phillip
agreed.

He took a gander across the way and
what he saw filled him with shock.

Eugene noticed. “What’s wrong?” he
asked.

“Those two guys,” Phillip
pointed.

“What about ‘em?” Eugene wanted to
know.

“Both of them look just
alike.”

“Identical twins,” Eugene said, “what
planet are you living on?”

“No,” he said, “they look just like the
dude that put the curse on me.”

All of sudden, they lifted their
hoods.

“Shit!” he cried, “it must be
them.”

He backed into a refreshment
table.

“They’ve come to avenge their brother’s
death.”

Just when people had started to look,
he noticed them turn and walk away.

“See,” Eugene told him grinning. “We
won. They know not to fuck with you.”

Moments later, his smile
faded.

“Wait, all of them looked just
alike?”

Phillip nodded.

“What if you killed the wrong
one?”

As if to almost answer his question,
Phillip started to ache all over.

“Ahhh!” he gritted out in pain. “Please
somebody help me please.”

The suffering only intensified and
caused Phillip to fall to knees.

His whole body burst into
flames.

Folks had started to back away, but
Eugene rushed and grabbed a cooler. He tossed ice water on
Phillip’s body, but the flames merely turned light blue.

The fire consumed Phillip’s body and
quickly started to dissipate.

The horrified crowd ran away, unable to
fathom what’d taken place.

Eugene though, was well aware. His soul
was damned for eternity.
