Creed

I had to work out some stress after having Jada here so Sharp let me take on a local run. I was thankful for the run but I hated leaving Jada alone. I know Tank has an eye on her but the Angel chasers are coming in tonight and that’s some bullshit I don’t need.

I just finished up the run and I’m heading back to the club when I hear engines revving up behind me.  I glance over my shoulder and see a few bikes behind me and try to make out their cuts. Oh fuck, it’s the Shadows.

Pulling over isn’t a fucking option when it’s one against seven.  I slide out my cell phone with one hand and control my bike with the other. Hitting the speed dial to Sharp I wait for him to pick up.

“Where you at motherfucker?” I can hear the music in the background and I know the party is underway.

“Got company.” Watching in my mirrors I see they are still on me. This shit could be bad.

“FUCK! Where you at? How many?” I can hear him silencing the people in the background before I give him the info.

“About seven. Out on the 23 headed home.”

“On our way.” The line goes dead but I know I’m only about fifteen minutes out from the clubhouse still. It will take them a while to get to me.

I track the assholes behind me as I accelerate my bike. The only thing on my mind is getting back to Jada. I don’t know what the fuck my life is supposed to be or how she plays into it but I sure as hell want to find out.

With my mind in another world, I hear shots going off behind me. FUCK! These motherfuckers are shooting at me.

“Bastards.” I grumble to myself when I see my boys coming dead ahead. Sharp waves me to go on but there is no way in hell that I’m letting that shit ride.

I drive past when I hear more shots before I slide my bike around. Heading back towards the sounds, I find my boys all off their bikes now circling the Shadows.

I pull up and park next to them before hopping off my bike to join them.

“Thought you headed out?” Sharp gives me a crooked grin but I just shrug. He knew I wasn’t going home without my boys.

“You wanna tell me why the fuck you’re followin’ me and shootin’ at my bike?” I ask.  Moving in closer I recognize one of the pigs. We had a run in with him a while back.

“We think you got somethin’ that belongs to us.” One of the other guys speaks up now. My heart starts pumping harder now. I know he’s talking about Jada.

“I don’t think we have shit that is yours.” I growl taking a step forward when Sharp steps next to me.

“I agree with my boy. We don’t run any of your shit through our club. You should be flattered that I haven’t shot you dead on the spot for crossin’ territory.” The Shadows look to one another. They knew they fucked up and now it’s time to redeem that.

“We heard one of your boys picked up one of our girls. You say you don’t have her, well, then we’ll be goin’.” Smart motherfucker right there. I love watching these little bitches squirm under our glares.

“Not so fast there, pretty boy. You shot at my boy here and I don’t think he liked that too much. Did you like that, Creed?” Sharp turns to me making me smile. Shaking my head I look at the leader of the group or at least the loser they put in charge of coming after me.

“No Pres. I didn’t like it much. I think a few fire offs should make me happy though.” Pointing my gun at the little prick in the front, I almost piss myself laughing when he shakes.

“I don’t think that’s necessary.” Flipping my gun in my hand I bring the butt of it down across his face. So much for being the pretty boy.

“I don’t believe we asked you.” Sharp sounds off next to me as the other guys laugh and chuckle to themselves.

“Take pretty boy’s bike out.” Sharp points over the punks shoulder towards the bikes. Now this I will enjoy.

I fire off a shot straight through his gas tank igniting that shit. In a big boom the bike explodes into a million pieces. I watch the pieces fall to the ground. It gives me a bit of satisfaction to watch that bike blow.

“You feel better, Creed or you want to shoot somethin’ else.” Sharp laughs as the eyes of the Shadow’s widen. Yeah, we have them a little on edge now.

“I don’t know Pres. I mean, the motherfuckers did try to blow my fuckin’ head clean off.” Sharp looks down at the pretty boy before he waves Tank forward.

“Hold his hand out. Let’s make sure he doesn’t try to shoot at any more of our boys.” The Shadow’s all panic now. The guys move in closer. We have the number on them now and they know we won’t play games.

Tank smiles as he grabs pretty boy’s hand pulling it out in front of him, holding it to the ground.

“Don’t miss brother.” Tank chuckles as he looks up at me. If there was one thing I was superior at, it’s shooting. I never have missed a target.

“Oh, I got this.” Firing my gun off pretty boy screams like a little girl. The sounds make me laugh hard.

“You tell your Pres. That he better stop sendin’ you little bitches after my boys or we will rain a shit parade down on you.” Sharp spits at them before heading back towards his bike where we all follow.

“You good?” He looks over at me before I nod and hop back on my bike.

Revving the engines we all file out behind Sharp and make our way back to the clubhouse.

I enjoy the short drive back before pulling in and seeing all the bikes and cars there. The cool night makes it that much better to ride. I’ve always enjoyed the night rides more than any other. I like the dark I guess.

Parking the bikes we all climb off before I grab the bag I was initially set out to get, throwing it over my shoulder.

“You got that?” Walking towards the door, I nod at Sharp.

“Meet me in the office.” I nod and follow suit through the door.

As soon as I walk I see the place is lit up like a fucking dance club. Hell, this is going to be one hell of a night.

I follow Sharp up the stairs to the office not even looking for Jada. I didn’t see her when I walked in, maybe she stayed in the room.

I drop the bag on Sharp’s desk and watch as he unzips it.

“You did good back there. I’m proud of you. Go on and have some fun but at church on Sunday, we discuss the girl.” I nod my head before I turn and leave the office. I don’t know what he wants to discuss about her but I don’t have a very good fucking feeling about it either.

Walking back down the stairs my eyes catch on Jada. A new fire burns through my body when I see Timmy’s hands on her hips. Oh this is going to be one hell of a night.

Jada

Everyone left in a big fucking hurry earlier and I had no clue why. Jenny, one of the girls here said there was an emergency but that’s all I heard.

Creed went on a run earlier but hasn’t come back yet. I’ve been hanging out with Jenny and a few other girls just having a good time. Jenny doesn’t seem to like me a whole lot but I don’t let that damper my fun.

“You ladies wanna dance?” Timmy one of the guys I met earlier comes over to me and Jenny. Of course she jumps at the chance but I’m a little unsure.

“It’s just a dance sweetheart.” After I see him wrap his arm around Jenny I figure what the hell. He’s right, it is just a dance.

“Alright.” I climb up and follow him out on the dance floor and start to dance. It feels good to let loose and relax. I haven’t had this feeling in a long time.

The music is blasting and I’m a little tipsy but still in control. My body buzzes as I sway to the music. Timmy puts his hands around my hips and we just dance. I don’t pay attention to where Jenny went but then again I don’t really give a shit. She was a little rude anyway.

“You havin’ fun darlin’?” Timmy leans in closer to me whispering in my ear. A slight discomfort forms in the pit of my stomach. I don’t want him getting the wrong idea.

“I am.” I pull away slightly, he doesn’t try to hold me and I’m grateful for that. We dance some more when I hear a commotion behind us. Timmy pulls away quickly and before I can spin around to see what’s going on, Creed has his hands wrapped around my shoulders.

“What the fuck you think your doin’?” He shakes me slightly making me startle. What the hell did I do? This reminds me too much of Kenny.

I try to pull away from his grasp but his hold is too strong.

“I didn’t do anything. Creed, you’re hurting me.” His hands tighten almost of their own accord while his eyes glue me in place.

“You lettin’ my brother’s grind all over you and that’s nothin’ huh?” Shaking me again, I can feel everyone’s stares. I know all eyes are on us now.

“I didn’t do anything but dance.”  Creed looks like he’s about to fucking explode at any second. Jenny walks over putting her hand on his arm causing something to stir within me. What the hell is wrong with me? Am I jealous?

“She didn’t do anything, hon. We were all dancing together.” Creed looks at me with a hard glare before he looks over at Jenny.

“Oh yeah? So I guess it’s ok if we dance then huh?” Jenny’s smile isn’t a fake one this time. No, this bitch is all too happy to have Creed letting go of me and moving towards her.

I watch like a fool as he grips her hips roughly dragging her against his body.  Hatred sparks inside of me and I want to slap that bitch.

“Guess you’re just an Angel chaser too.” One of the other guys walks past me and says. I turn to look at him but he just walks away. Is that all I am here? Is that why I was brought here?

Thoughts flood my mind but nothing makes sense to me. With the sudden urge to run, I do just that.

I head straight towards the door. I push my way through the growing crowd of people until I reach the main door. Pushing through it, I stop to take a deep breath of the cool night air.

Is that all I am to Creed? He would have told me if that was the case wouldn’t he?

“You don’t know him anymore Jada.” Talking to myself, I realize I need to face the facts.

“You still know my heart.” I didn’t even hear that asshole come out behind me. Damn he is sneaky.

I don’t turn to look at him because I know I will lose it. Instead, I start to walk towards the tree line needing to be alone. I’m so lost in my own head that I don’t notice him walking behind me until I drop to my knees.

“Jada!” Creed yells my name and drops next to me trying to pull me into his grasp but I shake him off. I don’t need this shit.

“Don’t touch me, Creed. You should have told me that’s all I was here.” A lone tear slides down my cheek but I wipe it away quickly. I won’t let him break me too. Not after Kenny.

“What the fuck are you talkin’ about woman?”  Creed moves to sit in front of me now when his hands dart to my face.

“One of those guys said I was a fucking Angel chaser. I will not stay here and be the same thing I was forced to be there, Creed. I can’t handle that shit anymore.” I lose it at the thought. I don’t want to be a whore for anyone. I thought he was different.

“Who the fuck said that? If that’s what you think you’re here for get the fuck up and walk. I don’t know how else to say this to you. I don’t know why the hell Pres. brought you here that night but we can damn sure find out.” Standing I see the pissed look in his eyes. He grabs my hand yanking me from the ground and drags me towards the door. I try to struggle against him but there is no use in that.

Creed drags me through the door and up the stairs all under my protest. The fucking man is acting like some primal caveman.

“Pres. You in?” Creed yells through the open door without even looking over at me.

“Yeah, come on in Creed.” Without a second glance, he drags me through the door. Sharp looks between the two of us and down at his giant hand wrapped around my wrist.

“The hell is goin’ on now?” His eyes move back to Creed but I speak first. Fuck Creed.

“I want to know why the hell I was brought here.” I may have just blurted it out but damn, these men are pissing me off around here.

“You don’t come in here talkin’ to me like that but since it’s been a fuckin’ hell storm of a night I’ll let that slide. Sit your ass down.” His bark startles me slightly. Creed chuckles when he feels me jerk but I sit in the chair anyways.

“You were out on our turf sweetheart. One of the boys saw you and wasn’t real sure where you belonged. You were drugged up pretty fuckin’ good and we don’t do harm to women. Once I knew who you were though, that just sealed the goddamn deal. This motherfucker has sulked around this goddamn clubhouse since day one pining over your ass. Son of a bitch had a fuckin’ death wish.” I twist my head to look at Creed but his eyes are glued to the floor. No way was he doing all that.

“I don’t understand. You brought me here for him?” Looking back at Sharp he shakes his head.

“You don’t need to understand sweetheart. You are free to leave this clubhouse anytime you choose. No one will hold you here but know that that man sittin’ next to you could have lost his life tonight to keep you safe.” Creed’s head pops up as anger rolls off him.

“Shut the fuck up, Sharp. That shit isn’t her concern.” He growls through his teeth at his president.

“You watch your tone boy. I’m lettin’ shit slide tonight just because of what happened. You have a few choices here.  You either make her your old lady, let her go, or give her to another brother. In the end it’s her choosin’ but you play a fuckin’ role here too. I’ve seen the difference in you since she has been here. I don’t give a fuck about your past either.” My heart slams into my chest. I don’t know what the hell I’m supposed to do here. He could have died tonight because of me? I can’t deal with that shit.

“Get the fuck outta my office both of you. You are fuckin’ adults go the fuck on and act like it.” Standing quickly, I leave before Creed can even get a word in. The crazy bastard.
