“Sebastian” was the only word that fell from her lips as she rushed across the room crashing into me. I could feel the wetness of her tears through my flimsy prison shirt. What the hell was wrong? The tension in her little body was a sign that today’s visit would not be what I had hoped. I realized my hands had already begun to caress her back, pulling her closer into me. She felt so fucking good melted against me.

“Haven? What’s wrong? Why are you crying?” I asked as gently as I could, holding back the desire to have her naked beneath me. Something wasn’t right. Pulling away gently, I grasped her chin with my fingers, tilting her face up to mine, immediately seeing the sadness and dread in her eyes. My heart plummeted at the sight of her this way. “Tell me.”

“Meg and Davis. They’re... they’re dead. He killed them.”

“Agapi mou.” My love. “I’m so sorry.” I sat down on the edge of the bed, pulling her into my lap like a child, unable to do anything but let her cry. I placed a chaste kiss to her temple as she wept for those she had lost. My mind split into two unique parts. One part wanting to protect this beautiful woman in my arms, and the other to kill the man responsible for causing her to hurt this way.

Haven shifted against me as she wiped away the remaining tears streaming down her face. She looked up at me, her eyes drilling deep into mine, and I found myself unable to resist the pull she had on me, the need to kiss her once again growing stronger. My lips met hers in a dizzying kiss that stoked emotions within me I didn’t know I was capable of having. I felt something for her. Something different. Love? Could it be that already she had stolen my heart? Would she even want it, knowing what kind of man I was?

Breaking the kiss, she slowly pulled away from me, her voice soft and shy as she uttered my name. “Sebastian, we need to talk. So much has happened. So many awful things. But there is good news from all of the madness he has caused.”

“I’m listening, Agapi mou.” He? Who the fuck was she speaking off? Remaining silent, I watched her worry her bottom lip under her teeth, groaning inwardly at the sight. This woman was going to be the death of me. I’d never wanted someone so fucking bad in my life. Doing my best to stamp down the lust boiling within, I waited for her to speak.

“Please don’t be angry. Considering the circumstances, this was the only option we had. Hackett called in a favor to Agent Dooley.”

Anger flared deep in my bones. A favor from that man was only to be used when there was no other option. Hackett knew better than to waste such a favor. What the fuck was he thinking?

“Your brother,” Haven continued. “His name is Theron. Theron Christakos. He... I can hardly believe it myself, but I saw it with my own eyes.”

“What? What did you see?” I asked, holding back the growl fighting to break free as I stroked my fingertips along the soft satin skin of her jaw.

“He looks just like you. Agent Dooley met with us in Shiner after the car bomb. That’s how Davis died. I would have died too if I hadn’t lingered back, talking to the woman running the orphanage there. Dooley is here today to have you released. Temporarily. We have a plan, but we need your help and the only way that can happen is to have you outside the walls of this place.”

“Am I to be bait for this brother I did not know about?”

“Yes,” she whimpered, sadness etched into her beautiful face. “I’m afraid so.” I looked at her lips pressed into a thin harsh line, her eyes red from crying, and anger flared up like a raging wildfire as the fear in her eyes registered. My brother, if that was who he really was, would have to be dealt with.

“Then that is what we will do. Where is Dooley?”

“Sebastian this man is dangerous. He...”

“I am dangerous, too, Agapi mou. He will not win.” I slid my hands into her long brown hair, crushing my lips to hers. She moaned against my lips and I couldn’t help but deepen the kiss. Before I knew it, I was inching her skirt up, plunging my finger deep inside her liquor-coated core. She whimpered as I thrust harder and faster, her pussy clenching my fingers so tight I could barely stand it. Sliding my fingers free I eased her from my lap, her skirt around her curvy hips.

Within seconds, I slipped my pants down, pulling her into my lap, her thighs straddling me as I thrust my cock deep inside her hot wet pussy.

“Sebastian. Oh god, Yes!” Her head fell back as she whimpered and moaned with each powerful thrust. She felt so damn good. I slammed into her tight little pussy over and over again, until her body began to tremble, then I’d back off, not allowing her to orgasm just yet. I wanted this to last. She rode my cock with wild abandon. Wrapping my arms around her, I pulled down for a blistering kiss as I rolled her onto her back, my cock buried deep inside her. She whimpered as I pulled out of her, the head of my cock teasing her folds with a slight touch before burying my dick to the hilt in her quivering pussy.

“Harder, Sebastian. Fuck me,” she moaned in a sultry voice.

She met me thrust for thrust, moaning and writhing beneath me as her pussy clenched my cock. I watched as her orgasm crested, her eyes heavy with bliss as she trembled in my arms. Two more thrusts and I roared her name like a man possessed as I shot my seed deep inside her. We sat there for several minutes, catching our breath, before a loud knock on the door robbed us of what little time we had together, and then we were jumping up and righting our clothing.

With a scarlet tint to her cheeks, she ran her fingers through her tousled just-been-well-fucked hair. “Come in.”

When Agent Dooley stepped inside, I fucking flinched. Me. The whole idea of putting my life in the hands of a man that almost had me by the balls a few years ago was insane. I wasn’t sure if I could – or should – trust the man. Haven could be trusted, but the world I lived in was not at all like hers. She had no clue about my history with Dooley, of that I was sure. This was Hackett’s doing and I didn’t understand why he made the call.

The entire situation was much more serious now. Dooley was just as I remembered him. Average. Simple. Dirty. At a glance, one would assume that he was harmless, but he’d cross any line he had to in order to get what he wanted. That’s how he ended up owing me a favor. But that’s another story entirely. Trusting him was a crap shoot at best. All of my men knew it.

Dooley looked from me to Haven. “Sebastian. Miss Foster. Are we ready to go over the plan?”

“Yes, Mr. Dooley we are,” Haven replied. “Only one question remains at this point. Well… before we get started anyway.” She turned to me, her skin still beautifully flushed from our love making. “Who will be replacing Mr. Jackson as your attorney?”

“You will, Haven. Davis assured me that you’re well equipped to handle such a case. That is, after all, why you were selected to assist him. Given the situation, nobody is more qualified.”

Haven smiled the cutest little smile, nodding at me before turning to face Dooley with a look so serious and professional my cock began to harden again. Damn, she was sexy as hell.

“Mr. Dooley, please go over the plan with my client.”

For more than two hours, Agent Dooley went over every aspect of his plan to trap Theron. We had two months to make the plan work in our favor. If it didn’t, I’d be back at square one – in a tiny fucking cell for the best years of my life.

I still couldn’t believe that I had a brother. An identical twin brother, at that. Why had my parents separated us at birth? It just didn’t make sense. As many questions as I had about Theron, it didn’t change the fact that he had killed Astra, pinning the murder on me. And now Meg and Davis had been added to the body count, too. I’d killed men for much less. He had to pay, and I didn’t care how. He could sit in prison for the rest of his life and die behind bars or my men could find him and dispose of him, as my family had always done with certain problems. I’d give Agent Dooley a chance to find the bastard and arrest him, but if that didn’t happen soon enough, then I would have him found myself.

Dooley’s plan was to have me released from prison, go about my usual business to some degree and make myself a target for Theron. I’d need to decrease my bodyguards, and have those near me be aware of the need to let Theron get close enough to be caught... alive. The look of worry on Haven’s face did not escape me as the details of the plan continued to unfold. I would be released in her care being she was now my attorney. She would be staying with me at my home, allowing Dooley to remain in contact with her. Some of Dooley’s men would work alongside my men. Hackett was already prepared to blend them in with the guards at my home. Everything was ready to go.

The warden watched as Hackett handed me a fresh Armani suit and shiny black dress shoes. I nodded my thanks and headed for the small bathroom to change out of my dingy prison whites. Already, I felt like a mafia boss again. I stepped out of the bathroom, feeling more like a warrior going to battle than ever before. I heard Haven gasp as I strode across the room, exuding power with every step.

“Warden, thank you for your kindness.” No one needed to know what those kindnesses where. He knew. If I ended up back in here then our relationship, as it was, could continue. I respected the man to some degree, even though his morals were a tad loose for my taste. “Are we ready to head out? It’s a long fucking drive back to civilization.”

“Fuck, yes we’re ready,” Hackett shouted, clamping his hand on my shoulder. “Good to see you again, boss.”

“Thanks for taking care of Haven for me.”

Hackett nodded and Haven blushed.

We headed out of the tiny apartment, across the recreational yard, and into the long white hallway of the prison. When we reached the front gate, my heart thudded against my chest. One more gate and the freedom I had been begging for would finally be within my grasp. With a beautiful woman and a loyal friend by my side, and the backing of the FBI, this mess that nearly robbed me of everything was about to come to a maddening end. One way or another, my long-lost brother would get what was coming to him.

Chapter Thirteen - Haven

“All stress comes from resisting what is.”

- Oprah Winfrey

The roughly three-hour drive from deep in the pine tree jungle of Huntsville to the roaring city streets of Austin flashed by in the blink of an eye. I had slept off and on throughout the entire drive, waking up several times to find my head on Sebastian’s shoulder, with him looking at me with such longing in his eyes. My breath hitched when his hand found mine, lacing our fingers together. The heat from his touch wound through me like electricity, sparking every nerve ending in me to life in an instant.

My body was in tune with his. It fucking scared me to death, but I couldn’t resist him. That hungry predatory look in his eyes did me in every time. With that look alone, he could make me do anything he wanted, and I’d do it without question. If that wasn’t enough to make me scared, then his being a mafia boss damn sure was. However, in addition to being scared, I found the danger and protectiveness he offered to be just as enticing as the earth-shattering sex.

Was sex and danger and excitement enough to build a relationship on? Did I even want that with him? I did like him. But I was his attorney now. So the future, if there was one, wasn’t even worth thinking about right now. He could end up back in prison, which made all of these thoughts pointless. Thoughts about the future and how I felt about Sebastian would have to wait.

Sandwiched between two insanely muscular men like Sebastian and Hackett made me feel safer than I had since I signed on to help Davis Jackson fight for Sebastian’s freedom. I had never expected things to get this bad, to have people lose their lives along the way as we sought out answers. But it had happened and nothing would change that now.

Would Meg and Davis have made different choices if they knew what would happen to them? I couldn’t answer that. I’d like to think I would have made different choices. But I wanted this opportunity, needed it to make my place in the world. I let myself get involved with a man convicted of murder… and if that wasn’t bad enough, he just happened to be a wealthy mafia boss too. I could hear my mother’s voice now – “You, my girl, are a fool. That man is bad news and he’ll take you down with him. End this while you are still afloat.”

Easier said than done. He was under my skin now.

We arrived at Sebastian’s estate, nestled in the center of a sprawling multi-acre swath of land outside the city. The warm glow of interior lights shined from every window in the large two-story home, thick white columns standing all along the front like soldiers standing guard. It was gorgeous, and from what I could see, easily cost millions.

Our convoy of black SUVs filed down the driveway, parking side by side. The front of the house was well-lit and I said a silent prayer that Theron wouldn’t find it as easy to place another bomb as he had before. He had managed that in broad daylight so I didn’t think lights would scare him away. One major difference now was that security would be watching for him. We knew he existed, and we knew what he looked like. That in itself made me relax a little. But I was still on guard.

Sebastian slid out of the vehicle, gravel crunching underneath the soles of his expensive black shoes. He reached out a hand to help me out of the car and, without thought, I placed my hand in his. That familiar spark flickered and our eyes momentarily met, proving in those few seconds we both felt the connection. It was unmistakable. The feel of his rough hand holding mine eased the anxiety raging inside me almost immediately. I didn’t know why his touch comforted me so much, but I was grateful that it did.

“Let’s get you settled inside, Agapi mou. You look exhausted.”

The rich exotic sound of his voice melted over me like a warm embrace. “I am,” I said, a yawn escaping me as if my body refused to deny him his wishes.

Sebastian’s home was indescribable. I felt so out of place amongst the beautiful paintings and luxurious furnishings. He held my hand as we walked, having not let it go for a second since we left the car. Dooley, Hackett, and Eamon took a seat in the living room, paying no attention to us at all. Sebastian had that hungry look in his eyes again, just as he had earlier today at the prison. I loved that look. My body loved what that look meant. Every fiber of my being hummed as he led me up the stairs to the end of the hall.
