“No. It’s not.”

“Oh yes, it is.” He paused and yanked off his shirt. His fur hat fell to the ground. He threw his shirt down, but put his hat back on. “Come on. Let’s go skinny dipping. It will cheer you up.”

“Pipe, stop.”

It was already too late. His belt dropped to the sand. The jeans fell next and finally the boxers, revealing a nice size penis that forced me to cover my face with both hands. It wasn’t the penis I didn’t want to see. It was the ridiculous tattoo I tried not to look at. When we were sixteen he’d begged his ex-nanny to pretend to be his mom and go to the tattoo parlor with us. Once there, he got an elephant’s face tattooed on his groin. The gray ears spread out on each thigh. Its wide eyes rested below his belly button and the trunk was of course his penis. The next week, he regretted the tattoo and begged his dad to pay to get it fixed. His dad refused and wouldn’t give his accountant permission to authorize the spending for laser removal. Apparently, it was his dad’s lesson to stop him from being a further dumb ass in the future. I often wondered how he explained the elephant to his lovers.

“Put your clothes back on. You’re insane!” I giggled.

“Join me!” He raced off into the water with his fur hat still on. The moon shined over his pale behind that flexed as he ran. “Get one with nature, baby! Come on, Evie! You know you want to!”

I did. I wanted to do anything when Pipe was around. He had that type of allure that made you yearn to be a part of whatever he had to offer.
Oh why not?
I wrenched off my shirt, climbed out of my bra, jeans, and panties.

“Damn, Evie. With your body, I might consider being heterosexual again. Since when did your breasts get that big?”

“Be quiet.” I covered them with my arms and tiptoed in, not even tossing a glance Jay and Cynthia’s way. I was sure Jay was cursing up a storm. My hair whipped around my face. Freezing water stabbed at my toes. I jerked back. “The water’s cold!”

“Come on. This isn’t your first day at a beach. Jump in, silly.” Pipe sank all the way into the ocean, hat and all.

“Pipe!” I laughed and sped in, throwing myself into the icy water. My body shivered. Cold enveloped me. My teeth chattered. Dark liquid wavered around me. But as any beach baby like me understood, the water warmed after a while. With each second, my body got used to the water’s temperature, but not fast enough so I could stop screaming. “Pipe!”

Where is that crazy man?

I couldn’t find him. We used to have breath-holding competitions every summer. Pipe always won. Hands grabbed my waist. Pipe turned me around. “Hello.”

“Hello.” I splashed him.

His hat resembled a dead wet cat on his head. How it stayed on, I would never know.

“Thanks for jumping in with me, Evie.”

“You know me. I’m your partner-in-crime when all logical people have fled away in fear.”

“How long do you think it will take Jay to jump in and cop a feel of your wet, naked body?”

“Not happening.” I wiped water out of my eyes.

“Let’s make a bet.”

“Fine.”

“I bet you fifty dollars that Jay will jump in as soon as he realizes you’re naked,
and
he’ll cop a feel within an hour of being near you in the water.”

“Fifty dollars it is.”

“Evie! Pipe!” Jay’s voice sounded from behind me. I turned. Jay kneeled down by my clothes and lifted my bra. “I expect this craziness from Pipe, but really, Evie?”

I shrugged. “Hey! Don’t judge me! It’s Pipe’s fault.”

With a huge grin spread across her face, Cynthia headed over to Jay and giggled. “You both are so much fun. Let’s do it, Jay. Let’s jump in.”

“Cynthia is growing on me. At first she seemed really quiet, but maybe it takes time for her to open up.” Pipe floated on his back, letting his elephant’s trunk wobble in the waves. “I think I kind of like her.”

A twinge of jealousy knotted in my stomach. It was such an immature feeling to want to have Pipe only like me and not be friends with her. And if I was being real with myself, my annoyance with Cynthia had more to do with Jay caring for her. It made my fingertips itch to push out the cat claws and start scratching like women did when they fought each other on TV. I couldn’t do it though. Cynthia never did anything to me, and couldn’t help that she fell in love with Jay.

Why not change the game when it comes to love and be less of a bitch to the competing chick?

“Come on, Jay.” Pipe slammed his hand against the water. It sprayed me and caused drops to scatter around us. “Are you scared, Jay? Is that what it is?”

Oh goodness. Did he have to say it that way?

Jay directed his attention my way and pulled off his shirt. “No. I’m never scared.”

Oh goodness.

The four of us splashed around. The water concealed our nude bodies enough that we’d gotten over the oddness of it all in the first few minutes of Jay and Cynthia joining in. Pipe initiated a trick competition where we showed off the many swimming skills we possessed. Pipe displayed how long he could stay under water.

Owning the only waterproof watch among us, Cynthia timed him and announced with shock, “Eight minutes. Oh my God. Eight minutes!”

Pipe jumped up. “Who’s next?”

He didn’t even have the decency to gasp or pant.

Such a show off.

“I only have my mermaid trick. I’m all out of anything else.” I’d volunteered first doing a swim where my feet stayed together and served as a tail. I pretended to be a mermaid, flapping my tail at everyone. Pipe hadn’t been impressed, but at least Jay and Cynthia clapped. I pointed at the couple. “Jay and Cynthia. You both are next.”

It was the first time I’d turned his way. His slick skin glistened from the reflection of stars. His hair lay flat and away from his face, allowing for all his facial features to be more distinct and clit-clenching seductive.
Damn him. Can’t he look like crap, wet?
I bit my lip, yearning to rub my body all over him. Suddenly, the foolishness of us all hanging out in the water dispersed into the heightened desire to be alone with him. He turned my way and caught my gaze. The smile that had been on his face faltered into parted lips and a tongue that traveled over his lip.

Pipe cleared his throat, signaling that he caught the moment between us. “What can
you
do, Cynthia?”

“I don’t think I have any cool tricks like you all.” She combed her fingers through her wet strands. When she was dry, she’d resembled an adorable blonde pinup girl from back in the day. With her body saturated in cool ocean drops, she became a straight man’s wet dream. Her full breasts rode the waves, making an appearance with the movement of water every now and then. Perky nipples glistened in the moonlight. How Jay’s hands were not all over her, was beyond my logic.

How could he even be looking at me when he had her?
The answer came to me lightning fast.
She’s not sleeping with him. Meanwhile, I’m willing and waiting. Is that what it’s all about?
I sighed and pushed those insecure thoughts out of my head.
No. It couldn’t be.

“Are you a fast swimmer?” Pipe paddled closer to her.

“I’m pretty fast. I was on the swim team in high school.”

“Oh shit!” I chuckled. “You’re keeping secrets from us, Cynthia. All this time you’ve been holding back.”

“Race!” Pipe jumped up and banged his chest. “I’m going up against Cynthia. I’ve already confirmed I can beat
you
two losers. There’s no need to waste my time.”

“What the hell?” I pouted. “I almost beat you last time.”

“You lost, Evie. Get over it.” Pipe splashed some water my way, getting it into my eyes. The salt burned a little.

“Alright. Pipe and Cynthia will race. I’ll count,” Jay offered and swam over to me. “Why don’t you all make it difficult? Swim far out there to the first buoy.”

Off in the distance a red light blinked. It must’ve been a good mile or more away.

I squinted to get a better look at where the buoy was located. “That’s too far away.”

“No it isn’t. I’m down.” Pipe exchanged glances with Jay, one that signaled they were doing something suspicious and sneaky. I wasn’t sure I liked where this was going. Pipe turned to Cynthia. “Are you cool with that?”

“I don’t know. That’s pretty far out there. I’ve done a swim like that before, but not in the dark.”

“Yeah. I don’t like the distance to the buoy. I don’t want you both to do a race. Why don’t you all do a short one?” I asked.

“Where’s the fun in that?” Jay glanced my way with heat in his gaze. I cleared my throat and inched away from him.

“It’s completely safe to swim that far. How about this?” Pipe stretched his arms. “If Cynthia wins, I’ll take her and everyone else out to the most expensive restaurant in town. You can order whatever you like.”

Cynthia quirked her eyebrows. “And if I lose?”

“Tonight during our slumber party you have to perform my favorite scenes from
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
. Don’t worry if you don’t know the words. I have the music, DVD, lyrics written down, and even the costumes.”

“Is he serious?” Cynthia turned to Jay who’d been staring at me. It caused me to inch away some more, if only to prevent him from copping a feel and Pipe from wining our bet. So far Jay had come in the water like Pipe predicted, but once in, Jay’d kept a decent distance from me. We probably had twenty more minutes or so before the bet was off.

“Yeah, Cynthia. Pipe is always serious about
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
.” I nodded. “Granted, he’ll probably make us watch that mess regardless, but at least if you win, you won’t have to participate. And he’ll make good on his side of the bet.”

“So you’ll pay for any restaurant?” Cynthia faced Pipe.

“Any spot you can think of. My credit card practically has no limit.” Pipe rolled his shoulders, preparing to race off. “Come on, Miss Swim Team. Let’s see what you got.”

“Okay. I’m down.” She hurried to his side.

“Evie, could you hold my hat for me?” He slung the nasty thing my way. I caught it.

“Eww. It’s probably full of seaweed and dead things. I’m not just going to stand here and hold this.” I tossed it over to the sand.

“What the hell? That’s my lucky hat.”

“It’s also dirty and smells.” I stepped forward to join them at the starting line.

“Alright. I’ll count.” Jay captured my waist and pulled me back before I could reach Pipe and Cynthia.

The ocean hid his hold on me. From Pipe and Cynthia’s view, it probably appeared like I was just standing in front of him, but not too close. My heart banged against my chest, so loud I figured everyone could hear it. I didn’t risk speaking. Anticipation wiggled its way into every pore. My skin tingled. Just one of his hands on my flesh triggered violent reactions between my thighs. I squirmed a little and inched back until the curve of my behind met the point of his erection.

Pipe winked at me. “You owe me fifty dollars, Evie.”

Damn it. How did Pipe realize Jay was touching me?

“Why?” I feigned ignorance.

“You know why.”

“Okay, Jay.” Cynthia glanced over her shoulder, not noticing what was going on between us. “Make sure your friend doesn’t cheat.”

“I will.” Jay’s voice sounded gruff. He pressed his cock against the middle of my behind.
This is so wrong. We shouldn’t do this so close to her. In fact, we shouldn’t do this period. Not until they break up.
I tried to wiggle away. His grip tightened on my waist.

“Go ahead, Cynthia and Pipe,” Jay yelled. “I’m starting the count. One. Two. Three.”

Cynthia and Pipe raced off. Jay wasted no time. He spun me around and devoured my lips. My hard nipples pushed against his rock hard chest. He glided his hands to the curve of my behind and squeezed, his fingers slipped between my cheeks and tickled the opening of my anus.

I shrieked and climbed out of his arms. “What are you doing?”

“Fingering your ass.” He prowled toward me.

I splashed water at him. “I don’t like that.”

“You sure about that?” He dove my way, so fast I didn’t even have time to react. We both crashed into the sea. Waves and a current of cool water wrapped around us. I held in my breath. Kernels of sand skimmed past my skin. Jay seized my body and held me in his arms. By the time we rose to the surface, I had my legs tight around his waist and my arms on his shoulders. We both checked Pipe and Cynthia. They still raced forward, their hands and arms rising from the surface and then slamming back in to propel them forward. Their feet kicked up, leaving a trail of foamy liquid and bubbles behind.

“We shouldn’t do this.” I attempted to climb out of his hold.

“Then why did you take off your clothes?” He held my legs firmly to his waist. “How long did you think I could last with you naked and wet around me?”

“Your girlfriend is right there.”

“Then hurry.”
