Madge came over as Dylan spoke, her arms loaded with a giant tray of water, coffee, and cake. She set the tray down and delivered the food quickly, her face plastered with the same goofy grin everyone else had.
Food disbursed, she stopped suddenly, eyes widening.
Alex half stood, alarmed by the change in her. “Madge, is something wrong?”
She laughed and waved a hand at him. “No! The opposite.” She snapped her fingers. “I’ve got it.”
“Got what?”
