She needs a job. He wants a mistress. Hearts and contracts are bound to get broken.

Shay Greer is pure GRITS—a Girl Raised In The South–but nowhere near a demure southern belle. She’s looking for a way out of her broken down marriage when she lands an unexpected job offer she really should refuse. Position?
Mistress
. Fringe Benefits?
Of course
. Fraternization with sexy CEO Reardon Boone?
Required
.

Shay signs on, lured by the promise of intimacy missing from her failed marriage. She’s barely survived a hellish year of heartbreak and needs a fresh start. Little does she know a clean break is the last thing she’ll get with the mysterious millionaire.

Reardon sticks to his tried and true rules: no-strings-attached seduction, no messy emotions, absolutely nothing resembling a real relationship. This sassy, sultry woman fits the bill precisely . . . until she arouses more than his erotic appetite.

A shark in the boardroom and a lady-killer in the bedroom, Reardon is as irresistible as he is unattainable. Shay falls hard, but his inability to love could tear them apart. She finds out that beneath Reardon’s seductive mask lies a man as tortured as she is.

Holy crap! I don’t even know where to start.

Okay—
deep breath
—there are a couple things I want to address first regarding this series and future books as folks have been asking. Boomer and Rayce! Yes! Their book is next. It will be book 4 in the Carolina Bad Boys series and I’m looking to publish it fall 2015. You might’ve noticed I gave very few details about that hot upcoming couple (I also did not address a lot of ongoing plotlines from the Carolina Bad Boys series) simply because I don’t want to give anything away, and also, in terms of timeline, we’re not there yet in that series. Oh my God, that’s confusing. In other words, Boomer’s book—
Chrome
—will pick up where
Steele
left off. November 2014.

Many awesome people have been asking if there will be MORE for the MCs. Yes. Like Boomer, they will be included as full novels in the Carolina Bad Boys series. Tail, Handsome, etc. I hope! Will Walker get a series?
Hmm, lemme think about that
. Yes, again, I hope so. If I embark on another spinoff it will start with Walker. And Killian Slade is already whispering in my ear about another novella series. I don’t know the possible timeline on these yet. If you follow my newsletter, blog, or stay tuned in on Facebook you’ll get the news first. You’ll also get to read about my #nonglamorous life, the stupid shit I do on a daily basis, plus hot men.

Okay.
Shew.
If you have questions, never hesitate to ask. I’m always around. Now to the thanks!

Big beautiful love to Gillian Littlehale. She is my editor at Gilly Wright’s Red Pen, and part of a two-woman seriously fabulous support team with my PA, Joelle Mendes. None of this writer stuff would happen without them, because I’d be pulling my hair out somewhere, probably under my desk.

Cheers to Tera Shanley for the exquisitely hot covers for this series! You should check out her books—she’s an amazing writer and I can’t get enough of her. Also huge love to Joanne Wadsworth, another sister author, who, along with Miss Shanley, shares the insider secrets, tech-help, and self-publishing support.

Christine Cox, April Gasaway, and Lisa Pinney rocked it out as my much-needed critique partners on this project. I gave them a tall order with four books in one summer, and they came through like gangbusters. Much love to them.

My street team is delicious, funny, killer fab. They cheer me on, pimp me out, and make some really cool stuff for my books. Bloggers, Facebook groups, and reviewers of awesome! Yes, you. You’ve been all over this series, and I am simply stunned by the love for my Bad Boys. Special thanks to Missy Borucki and Beth Cranford of the One-Click Addicts, and that whole crazy crew.

I love my Facebook folks. You’re an entire family to me, helping out whenever I have a question, need new tunes, have a *gulp* life moment, or a huge success to celebrate. Cheers to Kendra LaSalle for providing me with Sin’s dress for the benefit. In fact, mega props to all who tagged in on that thread with beautiful gowns. Thank you to all who added their ideas for the names of the bad dudes in this book. I ended up using my own, but I adored your suggestions. Super love to Emma Treharne (and everyone who chimed in) for picking Coletrane’s middle name! Barnaby. *snorts*

Massive thanks for coming on this crazy-ass summer roadtrip with me. Holy
hell
, I can’t even put into words how grateful I am for your support and straight-up awesomeness.

Huge smackaroos to my family. My oldest girl graduated from fifth grade (yikes!) the day before
Hunter
released. This final book in the series goes live less than three months later, about a week after my two ladies return to school. They've all been one hundred percent big supporters, all the way, even though I fell far short of summer mommy duties.

Now I’m going to crack some champagne!

Happy sexy reading to you,

Rie~
