“That was
amazing,” he admitted, cupping her face in the palm of his hands.

Lizzy froze
briefly, secretly trying to figure out, what her response should be. She was a
mother, his student, but all of that hadn’t stopped them from engaging in their
moment of passion. And so she did something she had not done in a while, she
decided to forget about logic; she only wanted to focus of how she felt, how
this felt. It was a delicious and memorable moment.

Spencer leaned in;
his lips met hers with a soft passionate kiss that left her giddy with
pleasure. She knew that soon he would leave her and she’d be left alone in her
lonesome bed. As he pulled her in closer, Lizzy’s body welcomed his kisses. She
could feel the dampness building between her legs once more, as his tongue
swept through the insides of her mouth.

Just as quickly
and intense as their kiss began, it ended. “I could do this all night.” Spencer
confessed, locking gazes with Lizzy. “But I won’t,” he caressed her lips with
his yet again, before slowly ending their kiss.

She wanted to
protest but knew that they would eventually have to say good bye. And so she
gave him a curt little nod, sad that their evening of passion was at an end.

“Thank you for
everything,” Lizzy said as she gave him a smile and although faint, it was very
sincere. She really did appreciate all that Spencer had done for her tonight.
It was not often she met a man with whom she felt safe with and who genuinely
seemed to care. Until now she didn’t think her trust in men would ever be restored.
She believed that all men were the same –
no good, lying cheaters.

 “You’re
welcome,” Spencer planted a soft kiss on her forehead as he quickly got into
his clothes and made his way to the front door.

Lizzy followed at
his heels, seeing him out with a pleasant smile gracing her face. As she shut
the door behind him, she eased her back against the dark hard metallic surface.
With a deep breath, she reminisced on the events of the night.

Would there be
any awkwardness between them,
she wondered to herself. She hoped not. There were several more weeks
of classes left in the semester. Perhaps he’d give her perfect grades. No –
that was the last thing she wanted. When she decided to go back to school she
did not intend to cheat her way through it. Besides as a law major, it would
only be fair that she did things the right way. She needed to talk to him, to
let him know that her intentions were not bad – in fact she had no ulterior
motivate. This was just her caught in a moment of weakness. She was not the
type of woman to sleep with a man that she barely knew. She was a hardworking
single mom, who may not have had a lot of money, but she still had her dignity.

Chapter Eight

Quiz

A
s Spencer got ready for class, the tapping on the door to his
office distracted him from what he was doing. “Come in,” he answered, looking
up from his desk.

One of his students
strutted in with the most mischievous look on her face. He recognized who she
was - Steffy Jameson. He’d noticed her from her countless attempts to get his
attention in class; however, he would usually just brush her off. Her most
recent question had been a rather personal one about Freud and his theory regarding
human beings basic need for sex.

“Miss Jameson,
how may I help you?” he put on a serious face, an attempt to deter her from
acting on whatever devious plans she had on her mind.

“I was just about
to head to class when I realized that I had a few things that I wanted you to
help me with,” she blushed, moving closer to his desk.

Her beige blouse
was half unbuttoned revealing almost all of her cleavage. The way she
seductively swung her hips as she approached him, made him even wearier of her
intentions.

She moved like a
snake in the grass, sleek and a full of malice. She shifted her head, swinging
her thick blonde hair to the side as she spoke to him, softly and seductively.

“I know you like
what you see,” Steffy said as she ran her fingers teasingly along the buttons
of her blouse.

Although he
denied her accusation, his shaft stood erect in his pants and protruded against
the fabric.

“Shhh...” she
silenced him by bringing her forefinger to her lips. “Don’t deny it, I can see that
other parts of your body agree with me,” she grinned.

Spencer dropped
his gaze to his crotch. Surely enough, his erection was almost piercing through
the fabric of his pants. He cleared his throat, bringing his eyes back to meet
hers, feeling slightly embarrassed. “I’m very uncomfortable to be quite honest...
Just please, button up your blouse and go wait for class to begin.”

Steffy ignored
him, walking around to his desk. “Ahhh...The things I can do for you -
to
you.
You can’t even begin to imagine...” she paused, wrapping his tie
around her fingers teasingly. “How good I can make you feel,” she leaned in,
whispering in his ear while gently nibbling on his earlobe. She dropped down to
her knees suddenly before him, her hands in search of his manhood.

Spencer sprung to
his feet, as rage washed over his face. Just as he stood up Steffy did the
same, pushing her body against his, knocking over the small bookshelf behind
him. Several books came tumbling from the shelve crashing to the floor.

“I think you’re so
sexy,
Doctor Spencer...”
she rolled her tongue as she said the word,
doctor. Her body, although petite seemed to have the strength of a mighty
warrior.

She tried to pin
him against the wall, forcing her lips upon his and demanding a kiss. She was
like an animal in attack mode, taking exactly what she wanted and needed from
him. As her lips brushed against his, Spencer found himself struggling to keep
her off. She was determined, no, she was desperate.

Her moans were heavy
and loud as she stroked the bulge showing in his pants, fully prepared to do so
much more than just that.

Spencer tried to
ward her off, but she only intensified her actions, her tongue brutally thrusting
past his lips. He could feel himself gradually giving into her desires, his
body relaxing to her touch and he hated himself for having such little
restraint.

His cock throbbed
with desire. A low feral groan left his lips as he finally gave in, closing his
eyes and kissing her back. Their tongues wrestled together, sweeping past each
other as the kiss became more passionate.

“Oh God yes,” Steffy,
murmured against his lips, guiding his hands to her perfectly round silicon
breasts. She was without a bra yet her breasts were upright and perky.

His hands glazed
lightly over her hardened nipples rolling them between his fingers as they
locked lips together.

She moaned to his
touch, crashing her nipples against him and begging him to pleasure her further.
As she gripped his shaft firmly through the fabric, reality hit him. What the
heck was he doing, why was he allowing her to manipulate him.

Pulling away with
a seriousness that made even Steffy wonder what had just happened, Spencer
straightened his clothes and demanded that she leave his office immediately.

He didn’t want
her to touch him or try to persuade him otherwise. This was wrong, so very
wrong and he would not be a willing participant.

There was some
hesitation on Steffy’s part before she finally realized that he was not going
to change his mind.

“FINE! But I’m
not gonna give up on you just yet,
Doctor
,” Steffy quickly buttoned her
shirt, blowing him a kiss as she turned away and headed to the door.

Spencer raked his
hand through his hair, still somewhat surprised by the suddenness of the whole
situation. Was this his cross to carry? In no way did he want his name dragged through
the mud, like so many other foolish professionals who’d jeopardized their
careers for a few minutes of passionate desire. He was smarter than that,
hell;
he had a PhD. in
psychology
for Christ sake. He should be better able to
read people and know how deal with them in situations such as this one.

Worse than that, was the guilt he instantly felt because of
his feeling for Lizzy. Should he tell her what happened or try to hide it and
hope Steffy would keep it a secret as well.

He chose to keep it a secret, rationalizing that the
situation wasn’t his fault and that he didn’t really want to kiss Steffy. This
was a choice he would later regret.

Trying to take
his mind off of the incident Spencer started flipping through the text book
before him, he found the chapter that he intended on discussing in class. Maybe
a quick pop-quiz would help everything get settle back down.

***

The mutters could be heard in every corner of the lecturer
room. The students surprised that Dr. Spencer would suddenly spring a pop-quiz
on them. No advance notice, no hints of what questions they would get, just the
announcement, seconds before him calling out the first question.

Lizzy wonder whether this had anything to do with the fact
that they’d been intimate. Could this be the reason why he seemed to be on edge?

She had to admit things between them were different; they
shared familiar glances with each other, almost like an old married couple who
knew each other inside and out. They’d been unintentionally flirting with each
other during class and now the little connection between them had grown even
stronger. However, since their tryst they had only spoken to and saw each other
during class, since they hadn’t exchanged numbers.

The night after they’d had sex, she’d stayed up thinking
about how good it felt, how loving he’d been during and after their moment of
passion. She regretted not giving him her number right then, now she wanted
more of him, to experience being with him again. How could she ever concentrate
on this pop quiz?

Pull yourself together; she tried giving herself the usual
pep-talk about being in college for the right reason. But she could not
convince herself to focus. The only thing on her mind was
Spencer, Spencer, and
more Spencer.
She hated the infatuation stage that she usually went through
whenever she met someone new. It will wear off, she noted to herself. Before long,
she’ll forget all about him and things would be back to normal.

“This quiz will constitute 10% of your final grade,” Spencer
announced, walking to his desk in the front of the room.

The muttering grew loud as the tension in the room grew
thick. Like an angry mob, the students spoke amongst themselves with
disapproving looks on their faces.

Should she say something, ask a question perhaps. Maybe not.
She leaned into her bag and retrieved her pen and paper. This was all a part of
being a college student. The onus was left to each person to ensure that they
were well aware of what was being discussed in class.

Spencer didn’t waste much time. He began calling out the
questions, allowing a few seconds for each answer. Some of the questions
Elizabeth had no problem answering; however, like most of her peers, she found
his little pop –quiz to be extremely difficult. Clearly Spencer was having a
bad
day.

The sound of several students sucking their teeth and
sighing loudly filled the room, as his endless stream of questions seemed to go
on for an eternity.

Finally he asked the last question, allowing the students to
review their answers to ensure that they’d correctly answered each question. He
read through the questions one last time. As he read each question, Elizabeth
went through her answer sheet, placing a small tick next to those she was
familiar with and a small question mark next to the answers she was unsure
about.

Then feeling a little brazen, she wrote her number on the
back of the paper, asking him to give her a call. Maybe he would call or maybe
he’d just trash the paper, she didn’t know, but decided to try anyway. Lizzy
was sure their night wasn’t just a one night fling, but since Spencer hadn’t
initiated any contact she wasn’t sure.

With much nervousness she handed Spencer the quiz when he
came to her desk. As she stood to her feet, their eyes meet for a brief second
and much to her surprise they had the same warm and compassionate look in them
that she had seen before. He didn’t seem upset in the least bit.

Chapter Nine

Contact

S
pencer
rocked back and forth on his heels trying to decide whether he should call Lizzy.
This was so inappropriate, and just a few days ago he’d demanded that Steffy
leave his office. Yet now like a hypocrite, he wanted to call Elizabeth or Liz
as he’d grown use to calling her. With his birthday coming up, he longed to
enjoy it with a beautiful woman, one whom he cared for and was attracted to. She
seemed to fit that category perfectly. There was a level of affection between them
that had him convinced that perhaps she could just be “the one”. She may be
woman that he would one day settle down and have a family with. Love at first
sight he surmised.

Just thinking about her now made him happy and his nerves
jolted with excitement. There was something special about her something he
didn’t fully understand. He retrieved the small piece of paper and began to
dial.

The phone rung for a few seconds before a young child
answered. Must have been her daughter, he remembered how fondly she spoke of
her twelve year old girl. She sounded like her mother, calm and collected.

“She’ll be with you in a minute,” she informed him, placing
him on hold briefly.

Her mother soon answered, an adult version of the young
girl’s voice. “Helloooo,” she answered with a hint of confusion from the
awkward silence that greeted her on the other end of the phone line.

Clearing his throat away from the phone quietly, Spencer
answered “Hi how are”. Surprisingly he didn’t even have to introduce himself,
because she recognized his voice immediately. Her voice came alive with
excitement. Their conversation was warm and they spoke like two old friends, chatting
about everything from how their day was going, the weather, the local news and
much more.

As they ended the call, Spencer invited her to dinner with
him for his birthday.

“But if it’s too much then I understand,” he said, trying to
sound somewhat indifferent. However the truth was he secretly hoped that she
would say yes and not disappoint him. He couldn’t imagine celebrating his
birthday with anyone else but her.

Much to his delight Lizzy accepted his invitation, telling
him that it would be a pleasure. Although he didn’t know just how far this would
get, he was willing to find out. He also delighted in the fact that tonight
he’d probably dream about her and how sweet she sounded over the phone.

That Weekend – Spencer’s birthday

He didn’t seem to need any instructions to her home; he remembered
it as clear as day. She lived in the second apartment building along one of
most clustered streets in the Westside of Pelham Bay. He had about 40 minutes
to pick her up and get to the restaurant to make it on time for the dinner
reservations. He sat in the vehicle patiently waiting for her to come downstairs
as she had requested. He was not worried though, she was worth the wait. After popping
one of his favorite CD’s into the player, he hummed softly to the first song on
the album. As the song picked up tempo and momentum, Spencer found himself,
tapping on his steering wheel lightly as if he were the drummer in the band.

“I see you’re already enjoying your birthday,” a voice said.

Spencer looked up and out his window to find Lizzy grinning
from ear to ear. She had a bemused look on her face as she watched him from the
outside looking in.

“How long have you been standing there?” Spencer asked,
feeling slightly embarrassed.

She chuckled and walked around to the passenger side, “Long
enough.”

Spencer couldn’t get his eyes off her; she looked stunning
in the long spaghetti strapped black dress that she had draping her gorgeous
body. Her hair was styled up with a few loose curls dropping down to the side
of her face.

In that moment Spencer knew it. This was more than just an attraction;
he felt himself falling in love with her. He’d heard about love at first sight,
but until meeting Lizzy he hadn’t believed in it. Now as his eyes lingered upon
her, taking in her beauty, he felt it deep down within, a feeling so strong
that it had to be love.

“You look amazing,” he complimented, taking her hand in his
and slowly bringing it to his mouth. The soft kiss that he planted on the back
of her hand was as light as a feather.

“Thank you,” she whispered with a smile. Her eyes sparkling
with anticipation, as he got ready to drive off into the night. The way she was
dressed, she was fit to go to a gala, or something much more special than his
little birthday dinner. Perhaps now would be the opportune time to take her
home to his family. Maybe he was getting ahead of himself. Dinner first and
then he’d see how the night would turn out.

“You look quite handsome yourself,” her voice was sweet, as
she touched him on the arm delicately. He’d chosen to wear a bow-tie instead of
a tie and he’d worn a plain black suit with a white shirt beneath it. Now
seated next to her, he felt underdressed.
