They spent their time making love, fucking, talking, laughing and figuring out how to deal with the pending separation.

Those were the moments and talks that ripped Raven apart. How was she going to let go, not see him, and move on? It was hours away, but she just kept trying to ignore it. They both knew that their being together was out of the question. His life was far too dangerous for her. His life was unstable. He had to leave at the drop of a hat, and she wanted more.

They decided mutually that they would give each other one year. If at the end of that year, they both still felt the same, they would give it a go. No contact for one year.

Chapter 12

The day had come to say goodbye. The rental truck was packed, with Raw's bike secured in the back of it. Joel was in the passenger seat waiting for Raw. Joel was so willing to go and cooperate, just happy to be seeing the light of day again.

Raw and Raven walked hand in hand. Raw was saying his goodbyes and see you around’s to all the club members. Raven doing her best to smile and not cry in front of the brothers. Once all of that was over with, the men filed back into the club house, giving Raven and Raw some privacy. Joel just sat with his head down in the cab.

Raw wrapped Raven up tightly in his arms, lifting her off the ground. “I love you Bella. You take my heart and soul, I can't get back.”

With that, she completely lost it. Sobbing uncontrollably, she says it back, “I love you too.”

They stay in the tight embrace for several minutes, her crying and him breathing her in.

He slowly lowers her and loosens his grip around her body, the body that she had given to him as a gift, over and over. The body that he was having such a struggle walking away from.

“One year, Bella Raven, one year.” He reached down and took her hand, pulling her closer to the truck. She pulled back, knowing that he was trying to get going. She didn't want to let him go.

“I know. I will miss you so much, Raw. I don't know how I am going to go on,” Raven continued to sob, trying to catch her breath.

Raw reached down and met her lips with his, tasting her tears and her mouth, one last time before he climbed in the truck. The kiss was deep and lasting, but it had to end and he pulled away.

Raw looked up and saw Meagan standing at the club house door. He nodded at her and she came over to them. He knew that Raven was going to need her. Even in the last moment, he was taking care of her.

He climbed in the truck, and shut the door. He put his hand out the window and she grabbed it.

“One year,” she said to him. “One year,” he returned, and with that, he drove away.

Raven really lost it then, hysterically crying and clutching onto her friend. Meagan was right there to help her get through the heartache, and remained with her for several hours, until she had cried herself to sleep.

It had been several weeks since Raw left and life was getting back to normal for Raven. She wanted so bad to run to her mom during her heartbreak, but resisted, knowing her mom would not be receptive. Raven moved in with Meg and Joe. She decided it was time to cut the cord with her mom. She went to school part time, and ended up getting a job at the very coffee shop where she had met Raw. She was staying busy and life was going on. Every time Raven thought about him, she would put the thought in a pan and set it on the back burner in her head. Just let it simmer, for one year.

Drifter and Jewl were doing amazing. He had to go on a few runs. While she was sleeping at night, he would run through the tapes and see that she had been good.

She was still oblivious to the cameras. He had put them in the vents and one in the carport, so she wouldn't see them. He was starting to trust her more and more. He was starting to feel like the cameras weren't needed.

It was early on a Saturday morning, when there was a banging that woke them both up.

“Who the fuck is banging on your door this early babe?” Drifter said, as he rubbed his eyes and got up.

“Not sure.”

Drifter made it to the door to, and peeked out the viewing hole. There was a woman standing there, with her hands on her hips. He slowly opened the door, when Jewl came up behind him with a robe on.

“Can I help you darlin'?” Drifter said.

“Yeah, you can help me,” she snapped back at him. The woman looked down at his hands for a wedding ring. “Your little woman here has been fucking my husband,” she said, looking Jewl up and down with disgust.

“What’s your name ma'am?” Drifter asked, using a more respectful term.

“My name is Brandy and my husband is Dave.” She pointed to the car where the poor sap was sitting, with his head down.

Drifter turned and looked at Jewl. “Whatcha know about all this?... Babe?”

Jewl just looked at the car parked in front of her house. She knew who Dave was, but couldn't see him clearly. “I told Dave we were over, several weeks ago,” she stated, both to Drifter and the woman at the door.

“Hey Dave! Come on over here!” Drifter yelled towards the car.

Brandy waved her hand, gesturing for him to come over.

He slowly got out of the car and sulked to the porch, barely looking up.

Drifter recognized him. It was the man that he had beat the hell out of.

“Oh hey, Dave,” Drifter said to him, laughing. “The little woman figure out you weren't in a bar fight?”

“Yeah, I found out that the friend he claimed to be with was out of town that weekend, and here we are, confronting the bitch that fucked my husband.” She looked at Jewl again.

“Whoa there darlin', we took care of all of that and he hasn't been back since,” Drifter said, defending Jewl.

“Well, you stay the fuck away from him, you whore,” Brandy spat at Jewl.

“Fuck you! Maybe if you knew how to please him, he wouldn't be comin' to me!” Jewl yelled back at her.

Drifter was all for a good cat fight, but not like this. He pushed Jewl into the house and shut the door, holding the knob, as she tried to come back out.

“You two need to go home and figure out your shit. You haven't enlightened us on anything we didn't already know. She won't be fucking him anymore, right Dave?” Drifter said, leaning down in Dave's face to get his point across.

“This is done. Have a good day and don't come back, either of you.” He turned, opened the door, pushing Jewl back in the house once more, and slammed the door.

“You fuck him again?” he asked her, knowing the truth.

“No babe. I swear. I have been only yours. I promise,” she said, trying to convince him.

He followed her down the hall, into the bedroom, slamming the door behind him.

“You think it's ok to try to open a door when I shut it? You think it's ok to run your mouth when I clearly have things under control?” he yelled at her.

She was unclear if he was serious or just fuckin' with her. She got on the bed, and covered herself up.

“No, I don't think it’s ok, but she called me a whore and a bitch, babe. I couldn’t just let her do that.”

Drifter crawled onto the bed till he was right over her, trapping her in the covers under him, with his knees and hands weighing them down around her.

“You think I couldn’t handle that shit? You think I couldn’t protect you from that bullshit?” He dropped his ass, so he was kneeling over her. “What should I do with you when you are bad?”

She looked down and could see how hard he was under his jeans. Those were all he had slipped on before going to the door. He was pissed, but he was about to take it out on her in the best way possible.

“You are damn lucky that was Dave, and not some other guy. You better hope we don't get any more visitors of that nature. I'd hate to see what prospect would be willing to lose it all this time,” he said coldly.

Her mouth flew open.

“Shut your mouth beautiful, before I fill it with somethin'.”

“That was low. I am not fucking around. You're an asshole, get off me.”

Drifter smiled. “I think you forget who is in control here. I have been gone a few times. You think that shit doesn't run through my head? You think I don't wonder if you are back here fuckin’ guys with my property?” he growled at her, still keeping her pinned down, as she thrashed around.

“I am not your property if you’re going to treat me like a whore,” she said, tears falling.

“Not treating you like a whore babe, just warning you about what will happen if you act like one again.” He rolled off her and lay down on his back, next to her.

She kicked off the covers, and got up stomping out to the kitchen to make coffee. She was so pissed. How dare he bring that up again.

She turned on the radio in the kitchen, and started prepping the coffee pot. She was filling it with water, when he came behind her, pinning her against the counter.

Leaning down and whispering into her ear, he said, “Put it down, babe.”

She tried to turn around, but he wouldn't let her. She slowly put the pot down on the counter. As soon as she did, he grabbed her by the back of the neck and pushed her down. With his other hand, he grabbed the string to the blinds in the window and lowered them.

“Spread your legs,” he growled. Before she could comply, he used his foot to scoot hers out to each side, still holding her head down in the sink.

Drifter lifted her robe, exposing her ass. He rubbed her ass, then smacked her hard, then rubbed again, over the red hand print that was welting up.

She yelped, but then enjoyed the rubbing over the burning sensation that spread all the way to her scalp. She was bracing for another hit when his hand slid down to the crack of her ass. His fingers spread her open and then entered her roughly. She gasped, and lost her breath.

“Is this my property Jewl?” he growled at her, pumping his fingers in and out of her. “Does this belong to me?” he asked again. He was making a point. She was his property.

“Yes Drifter,” she said into the sink. “All of me belongs to you. It’s all your property.”

“You gonna fuckin' challenge me on that again?” he asked as he removed his fingers, and slowly rubbed her clit.

“No babe,” she said out of breath.

“Good.” He let go of her neck, lifted her hips, and plunged into her. “Put your hands behind your back babe.” When she did, he grabbed her at the wrists and held them there, as he dove into her, over and over.

She was gasping for air as he continued to fuck her roughly. She took it all and he hit bottom with each stroke. He was about to come and he grabbed her hair, letting her hands drop.

“You are fuckin' mine. Don't forget it.” And he came.

As fucked up as it was, it was what they both needed. He felt like he was in control and she felt dominated and taken care of. They both hit the shower and he washed her hair, and was very gentle with her for the rest of the day.
