Jenika
actually loves kids. I heard her once say she wanted
heaps of them,” Owen announced, a shit-eating grin on his face.

Oh God!

“Really,”
Raziel
said, eyeing his mate. “Well, that certainly
won’t be a problem. We felines have litters.”

Jenika
choked. “Maybe
that would help if I ever planned on letting you touch me.”

“I’m
sure she would prefer not to have so many at once,”
Draken
added, giving Angelica a sympathetic look. “Vampires only have one child at a
time … usually.”

Angelica
couldn’t stop herself from covering her face as she snickered. It was like
watching an oncoming train collision.

“Vampires
have babies?”
Jenika
looked appalled.
“But … what about fangs, and stuff?”

Draken
bristled. “We
do not develop fangs and
stuff
until
we mature.”

“Oh,
well, that’s comforting,” her friend muttered, rolling her eyes. “And
sooo
not my problem, as again, no touchy
touchy
for you, fang-boy.”
Raziel
cackled, and
Jenika
pinned him with a glare. “What
are you laughing at, pussy cat?”

The
lion’s laughter died fast, and he hissed. “I’m a lion, not a
pussy cat
.”

“Lions, panthers, and vamps, oh my!”
Jenika
snickered. “We need to meet some tigers. Oh wait,
are there bears? That would be so cool.”

Angelica
threw her head back and laughed as all the men in the room began to glower at
her best friend. She could see arguments starting, perhaps even a few brawls among
the men, but she honestly wouldn’t have changed a thing in that moment. Happy
and content, loved and safe, Angelica had everything she had ever wanted.
Nothing may have been what she had originally planned for herself, and they
would have days when she would question her sanity and her decisions. But that
was okay. Looking at her family and friends all gathered in the room together,
she knew one thing was for sure … things were certainly going to be different
now since she had been claimed by her panthers.
