Other manifestations include low-grade fever, anorexia, weight loss, malaise, splenomegaly, and anemia. Patients with pericarditis present with chest pain, mild fever, increased erythrocyte sedimentation rate, white blood cell count, and friction rub. It may cause aortic valve dysfunction or mitral valve insufficiency. Patients with myocarditis may present asymptomatically or with fatigue, dyspnea, and palpitations but also with sudden cardiac arrest.
