“But I can share with Carrie and you can…”

“Do you want to tell her that?” Six pointed out.

Marion knew he was right when she glanced at the two people walking away from the table and saw the way they were wrapped around each other. Carrie said she loved Crash, so she probably wouldn’t appreciate a chance to show him just how much being taken away from her.

“Great,” Marion let out under her breath.

“You will be gentle with me, won’t you?” Six said and laughed.

She looked at him and saw the sparkle in his eyes as he ran a hand over his cropped hair. The shiver it sent trickling down her spine wasn’t entirely unexpected, but there was no way she was going to jump in bed with a hardened criminal.

“Don’t get any fucking ideas,” she said and avoided looking at him as she picked up her bottle.

Six held up his hands in a conciliatory gesture.

“As sexy as you look in the glasses and ponytail, I’m sure I’ll be able to control myself.”

“Yeah… well you better,” she let out, but kept her gaze on the table.

Six picked up his bottle to empty it completely and then sat staring across the table as Marion carried on drinking. She was aware of his gaze and it unnerved her.

“What?” she said as the silence stretched out.

“Nothing,” Six replied. “We should get some sleep.”

Her nerves came on stronger and she couldn’t stop her hand trembling as she drank the final mouthfuls of beer. Six grabbed the key and was already sliding to the end of the seat when she put the empty bottle down. All she could do was follow him out of the booth. The thought popped in her head to ask if there was another room available, but she knew it would appear childish and decided against it. It was just one night, and after their chat she was sure he wasn’t the sort of man to take advantage of a vulnerable woman.

The surprising thing was that she was slightly disappointed about that more than anything else, and while she told him not to get any ideas, she wasn’t altogether sure that she would put up much resistance if he did. They made their way to the stairs in the corner of the bar and started to climb. Six went first and Marion saw the way the denim stretched over his taut ass. She forced herself to look away, but the sight of it put ideas in her head that she knew she shouldn’t be having.

“Get a grip,” she mumbled then realized she spoke too loud when Six replied.

“Did you ask me something?”

“Umm… no,” she replied and couldn’t stop the slight flare of warmth on her face.

Six stopped when he got to Room 2 and used the key to open the door then switched on the light. Marion wasn’t expecting much and that’s exactly what she got. There was a rickety chair in the corner of the room beside a worn-looking wardrobe and chest of drawers. The only other furniture piece was a single bed and she grimaced as she stared at it.

“Great,” she let out and saw the grin on Six’s face again.

“Nice and cozy,” he let out.

“I take it you’ll not be sleeping on the floor then,” she remarked.

“It should be big enough for both of us,” he replied. “Just don’t get any ideas.”

“Shut up!” she exclaimed and shook her head at the sound of his laugh.

“At least the place has an attached bathroom,” he pointed out. “I could do with a shower after that ride today.”

Marion walked across to the open door and looked inside. It was no more than a shower cubicle, a toilet and a sink that wasn’t in the best condition.

“Yeah, it’s real five star accommodation,” she let out. She grabbed the door to pull it shut and found it only moved around halfway before sticking in place. “This just gets better and better,” she mumbled under her breath.

“I’m sure you’ll adapt for one night,” Six said.

Marion turned around and knew she should avert her eyes when she saw he’d already taken his top off. Instead, she just found herself staring in an almost mesmerized way at his buffed, naked torso. The martial arts training certainly gave him a physique that most men would be envious of, and the way the muscles rippled when he moved was something else.

“Hand me a towel, will you?” he said.

Marion saw that he was pointing to the chair and she went to pick up one of the towels draped over it. She did look away when she turned around to see that he was taking his jeans off. It left him only in a pair of white underpants that clung tightly to his hips. He grabbed the towel when she gave it to him and wrapped it around his waist before reaching under to take off his underwear.

“I’ll shower first,” he said.

“Be my guest,” Marion replied and consciously tried to slow her racing pulse.

She couldn’t help but wonder what he looked like with the towel off when he walked past her, but she looked away quickly. He tried to close the door when he walked inside the bathroom and found that he couldn’t. It didn’t seem to bother him and he just stepped over to the small cubicle and reached in to switch the water on. Marion knew she shouldn’t peek, but the temptation was too great to resist and she caught a glimpse of his naked buttocks when he whipped the towel off before stepping inside the glass cubicle.

“Don’t look… don’t look,” she intoned under her breath, but the urge to do it filled her mind.

She moved to sit down on the bed, so she was facing away from the bathroom door. It stopped her glancing in the small room, but the image of Six’s naked body stayed at the forefront of her mind. She remembered her comment to Carrie that morning and whispered it under her breath.

“Falling for a member of a biker gang doesn’t seem like such a clever move.”

She told herself that there wasn’t a spark of anything between her and Six, but couldn’t quite convince herself it was true. The raw fear she experienced when she first met him in the apartment wasn’t quite gone, but it was definitely other emotions she was now feeling and there was no denying it when he came out of the bathroom.

“It’s all yours,” he said.

Marion looked to see trickles of water sliding down his muscled chest and the shiver of excitement was unstoppable.

“Thanks,” she said and dropped her gaze to the floor when she got to her feet.

“The bathroom door doesn’t close properly,” he went on.

“Yeah, I know,” she replied as she walked to the chair to get the other towel.

She was trembling when she walked in the bathroom and found herself wondering if Six was tempted to sneak glances at her the way she did at him. Taking off her glasses, she put them down on the sink and looked at herself in the mirror above it. The lack of sleep from the previous night, as well as the long drive that day, showed, and the tiredness crept over her. She turned to face away from the door as she quickly stripped her clothes off and couldn’t get the thought out of her head that she was being watched.

The warm water felt nice on her skin and she tilted her face up to it and let her hair get soaked. She then grabbed the small bar of soap to clean herself before spending a few more minutes under the relaxing cascade, until she reluctantly turned it off. She remained in the cubicle while she dried herself, but stepped out to put her clothes on. Her back was to the door and she was certain she was being watched. It made her apprehensive, but she knew she wouldn’t put up much, if any, resistance if the man she was sharing a room with tried something.

He didn’t though, and she dressed without incident before walking out to the bedroom. Six was already in bed and it made her wonder whether it was just her imagination that she was being watched when she was naked in the bathroom. She could see that he wasn’t wearing a top, and the question came out without her even thinking about it.

“You don’t sleep in the nude, do you?”

Six laughed, but shook his head.

“Don’t worry,” he teased her. “I’m decent under here. Just get undressed and switch off the light, so we can get some sleep.”

“I’m not getting undressed,” she exclaimed.

“OK, whatever you want, little miss innocent,” he retorted. “Just hurry up and turn off the light.”

She walked across to the switch on the wall and the room was plunged into darkness. The thought of getting in bed with a Roadrunner that she suspected was almost naked scared and excited her in equal measure, and her conflicting emotions made her pulse race. She made her way slowly across the room to get to the side of the bed and lifted the covers to slide under them. Her hand brushed against Six’s arm and she pulled it away quickly.

“Sorry,” she apologized.

“Just watch where you’re touching,” he joked and let out a quiet laugh. “I don’t want you having any dirty ideas about me that get you thinking about sex.”

“Shut up… this isn’t easy for me,” Marion complained as she lay on her back and stared up in the darkness towards the ceiling.

“Yeah, I’m not exactly thrilled about the arrangements either,” he responded. “But let’s just get on with it.”

“Sure,” she agreed.

The sudden sound of knocking on the wall startled them and Six was quick to sit up. It quickly became apparent what the noise was though when it was followed by low groans from the adjoining room.

“Fucking hell,” Six let out and threw his head down on the pillow. “What did I just say about not thinking about sex?”

The sounds of lovemaking grew louder from the next room and it was obvious that Carrie and Crash were in the throes of finding out just how much they loved each other. The rhythm of the headboard cracking against the wall grew more intense, and it was obvious that the two lovers were lost to the thrill of their lust for each other. Marion put a hand to her mouth to stifle an embarrassed laugh, but couldn’t help it coming out.

“How are we supposed to get any sleep with that racket going on?” Six complained and pulled the pillow over his head.

“It’s sweet,” Marion said and laughed again.

It was more than sweet, however, and she was surprised at the flush of heat that blossomed between her thighs as she listened. It was her first instance of hearing other people making love, and she was glad they were in darkness as her embarrassment welled up even more to redden her cheeks at how excited she was getting. The sound of Carrie’s breathless squeals as she let herself be taken by Crash was a turn on she didn’t expect, and she found herself wondering what it would be like to make love with the Roadrunner lying next to her. It was her craziest thought ever, but she couldn’t get it out of her head and was glad when the sounds from next door rose to a crescendo then died away as the sex ended.

“Finally,” Six said.

“You’re not a romantic then,” she couldn’t help teasing him.

“Life is easier when you’re on your own,” he said.

“Yeah, but not as much fun by the sounds of it,” Marion replied.

“Go to sleep,” he told her and turned on his side to face away from her.

She wondered if the unhappy childhood with his mother that he talked about earlier gave him a distrust of women that kept him single, or if it was just the criminal lifestyle he led. There was no way of really knowing what was going through his mind, so she closed her eyes and tried to get some rest. She managed to doze off, but kept waking up and couldn’t settle into sleeping properly. The situation they were in didn’t seem to affect Six, and she could hear his calm, even breathing each time she woke up.

It was around four in the morning when she came drowsily out of her dreams to realize that he was lying on his side almost cuddling her with his arm across her chest. She froze for an instant, but quickly made out in the darkness that he was still fast asleep and wasn’t making a move on her. It was only as she tried to wriggle away a bit that she became aware of how close her own hand was to his crotch when she touched on what was undoubtedly an erection straining against his underwear.
