Jake leaned in and nuzzled my ear. “When you look into your future, am I in it?”

I sighed as he started lacing kisses around my neck. “You’re not just in it,” I admitted. “You’re at the very center of it.”

He chuckled and I could feel the vibration in his chest as it pressed against mine. “That’s exactly what I was hoping to hear.”

I saw nothing but good things for Jake and me in the years to come.
