“Damn baby, you sure know how to suck a dick. I wanna fuck your face,” he told me.

And that he did as he grabbed my head and began to thrust in and out of my mouth. Angel wasn’t going to allow me to show her out, or out-do her in no way. She decided to join in. Angel knelt beside me movin’ me aside a bit. I guess fightin’ was outta the question since I had his dick in my mouth.

“Take turns!” Hassan shouted.

He pointed his finger in a crazy motion tellin’ me to move the fuck ova. On all fours, we took turns drenchin’ his shaft with our saliva. It was almost as if we were competin’ to see who could make Hassan cum first. Of course he enjoyed watchin’ us play tug of war with his stick.

As Hassan began to jerk his dick, we remained on our knees like puppies. On the inside it was a disgrace for me to be in this position, but I kept in mind the financial increase this trick would bring.

Meanwhile, Hassan was bustin’ a sweat, jerkin’ harder and harder.

“Ahhh yeah, get this. Get this fucking cum!” he yelled.

Within seconds his hot cream poured onto both of our faces. He let out a sigh of gratification as his legs shivered. Without even wipin’ his dick, he jumped up, put on his pants, and acted like he hadn’t been in the room with us for the last thirty minutes. Within seconds, he tossed a roll of money onto the floor where Angel and I sat in disgrace.

“Thanks, ladies,” was all Hassan spoke before the door
shut behind him.

Angel reached ova to the cabinet where she grabbed one of Betty’s nasty-ass towels to clean her face. I looked at her like she was crazy. While Angel cleaned her face, I quickly scuffled up the bills crumbled on the floor and unrolled the twisted bills. My mouth hung in shock. A total of twelve hundred seemed to be the count. I broke Angel off with her six hundred and stuffed my cut into my bra. I smiled while whippin’ out my baby wipes. I thought about offerin’ Angel one, then quickly changed my mind.

By the end of the night, I’d snagged one last guy, a thuggish dude from Queens. He was raunchy lookin’, and fucked like a young jack rabbit. It was cool with me, whip-bam-boom, and we were done. He only gave me one fifty, no tip. Cheap muthafucka.

I walked his ass out of 2C sweet talkin’ in his ear about how I wanted him to check me out when he came back. It tripped me out how I kept massagin’ his back, and tellin’ him shit he wanted to hear. Lies…all lies. For real, my talk game was already gettin’ better and I’d only been back to work one day.

I even walked dude to the bottom of the stairs ’cause I wanted to use the phone to call Tony. I’d only made $750 for the day, and needed Tony to drop by as soon as possible so he could lace my pockets. When we made it to the last steps, our faithful friends in the black suits stepped aside and made sure everythin’ was okay with me.

“Oh, I’m just gonna check Betty for a minute. I need to use the phone.”

I knocked on her door with one quick knock, and heard her say, “Come in” instantly. I pushed the door open and almost choked. Betty stood at the window in sadness, blowin’ circles of smoke all alone.

“Betty, you okay?”

“Sure. I’m fine. This is what I do,” she said in a solemn tone.

She seemed different from the happy-go-lucky Betty that I’d seen earlier. Her face showed worry, and it seemed sorta weird how she kept peepin’ from the curtains.

“How’d you do tonight?”

“Pretty good. Didn’t make my quota though. Gotta get warmed up… I guess.”

She hit me with the,”Umph.”

“Must’ve been a good night for you,” I joked…’cause you puffin’ the hell outta that cigar.”

She gave me a dry smile then asked, “So what can I do for you?” She pulled the curtain back slightly to examine the block again.

“I just need to use the phone,” I told her.

“Now you getting too comfortable girl,” she uttered firmly. “Who you callin’?”

“A potential client. A big payin’ client,” I added. “He told me to let’em know the moment I got back in town.”

“Shit, in that case go ‘head,” she said blowin’ more smoke. “Call’em. He’d better be here tomorrow greasin’ your palm.”

I pulled my slip of paper with Tony’s number on it from my bra. As soon as the first button was hit, I wondered if callin’ him in front of Betty was a good move. She gazed down my throat waitin’ for me to say the first word. When Tony answered, he sounded pretty groggy.

“Hey, sexy. You sleep?”

“Ahhh…not really.”

“Okay…you got ten seconds to sound like you’re happy to hear from me,” I ordered. “I’m here in Brooklyn; ready to cash in on all the dreams you’ve been sellin’ me ova the phone.”

Tony remained silent.

“You told me to call, remember.” I looked ova at Betty who hadn’t taken her eyes off of me.

“Ayyite…I see you follow instructions well. So come see me in the morning. I’m tied up.”

“Where?” I asked, even though he sounded like he was blowin’ me off.

He started rattlin’ off the address faster than I could remember. I tried my best to hang onto every word ’cause I couldn’t ask Betty for a pen to write the address. Before I knew it, Tony had finished with me. He hung up without even a goodbye. Quickly, I said my goodnights to Betty and rushed upstairs to jot down the address to Tony’s office. I hit the sack early without talkin’ to any of the girls ’cause I had planned on gettin’ to my new man’s spot by nine a.m.

Chapter 13

By nine a.m.,
I was dressed and seemed to bounce my way down the staircase thinkin’ ’bout my visit with Tony. I felt fly with my half-wig pulled back into a cute ponytail, along with a white, tight v-neck shirt that resembled a cheerleader tunic. For some reason, I’d decided to wear my expensive pearls which really didn’t go with my teenage look for the day. They draped low, stoppin’ at the tip of the number fourteen sewn into the shirt. It seemed like my gear was perfect, even down to my slip on one-inch heels. My jean skirt was short, but sexy and would hopefully make Tony feel like he was back in high school. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that I’d have to take a cab to Long Island. Although only about thirty minutes away, I knew the ride would probably cost me close to fifty bucks. I knew Tony had an office in both Brooklyn and Jersey, but neva knew about the one in Long Island until he gave me the address the night before.

When I reached the front door, surprisingly a friendly face greeted me. Mike stood with an awkward expression, almost obsessive.
Damn, I liked Mike, but he was playin’ me too close.

“Well, just who I wanted to see,” he announced with his hands stuffed deep into his pockets.

“What’s up, Mike?”

“You.”

Damn
, I said to myself.

He seemed different, even soft-spoken…almost like he wanted to kidnap me and steal me from Betty. He gave me the once ova then rocked his head back and forth like he was pleased with what I wore. I opened my purse and pulled out my shades hopin’ to keep Mike from seein’ what I felt in my eyes. Fear of being wanted by a good man.

“Where you headed?” he asked me with more concern than usual.

“Gotta run out, that’s all. Take care of some legal biz.”

“I can give you a ride. I mean… I know you gotta be back in a couple of hours.” He lifted his wrist toward his face. “Plus, I wanna rap to you about something.”

I had an unsure expression. My flesh wanted to try him out, but I didn’t want him tryna date me or no shit like that. The time just wasn’t right. I had money to make, not a relationship to nurture. “I was gonna catch a cab,” I announced.

He grabbed my hand and slowly pulled me down the staircase to the back seat of his car. “Your chariot awaits you,” he joked. “Now get in.”

He opened the door for me to enter. I stopped him instantly and pulled two twenties from my purse. I gotta go to Long Island…so here’s what I can afford.”

Mike pushed my legs all the way inside the car and shut my door, leavin’ me with the money in my hand.

As soon as he hopped in, I rattled off the address, and he took off. He wasted no time showin’ that he was serious about discussin’ somethin’ with me.

“You know Co-Co, this brothel thing is only temporary,” he began. “I’ve been thinking…”

“Ahhh… Mike…I don’t want my crazy-ass life to be any more complicated than it already is. So stop thinkin’,” I exclaimed. “I just wanna do my time here and go back to Pittsburgh.”

“You can still do that. All I’m saying is that I’d like to
spend some time with you before you leave. Nothing sexual…quality time. I want to get to know you.”

Mike was interrupted when his cell phone rang. I breathed a sigh of relief ’cause I didn’t need that shit from him at the moment. I sat back in the seat thinkin’ for what seemed like an eternity while he handled some family issue on the phone. As I listened to him iron out the problem, it hit me that Mike was a real stand-up guy. He wasn’t into using people and genuinely cared about those in his circle.

At least twenty minutes rolled by as he fussed at one family member then preached to another. I wondered what it would be like to have close family members to even fuss at. It seemed it was just me, forever… a one-woman show.

Before long, Mike hung up, hopped onto the Long Island Expressway, and jumped right back where he’d left off. “So, can we start slow? I’m thinking a few dates, just to get to know each otha.” He threw his hands up as a sign of surrender. “I’ll even help you with the whole drug thing.”

“What drug thing?” I snapped even though I knew exactly what he was talkin’ about.

He got quiet for a second. “Did you forget that I took you to go get some cocaine the last time you were in town? And some weed, I might add.”

“Look Mike, you don’t understand me. We’re from different worlds. I’m not used to men like you.”

Funny how I thought my statement would turn him off. Instead, he rolled down his window and bought three full bloomed roses from the Korean man sellin’ flowers on the corner right after we’d gotten off the Whitestone Bridge. While he paid the man, I took notice that we had made it to City Island. Suddenly, I remembered it was the place Tony had bragged about, always saying he would take me to Sammy’s where one of his boy’s owned the restaurant.

“For you,” Mike told me, interruptin’ my thoughts.
Then he passed the roses back after kissin’ one of the stems.

First, I sniffed them inhalin’ the peaceful scent. Then, I looked downward trying to figure out what to say next. Luckily, he pulled off, made the first right, then asked me if this was the street. I sat up like I knew where I was goin’. The block was short, lined with small warehouses and detached office buildings. My eyes quickly scanned the paper with the address, just before I shouted, “Stop. That’s it, right there.”

I pointed as Mike quickly pulled ova in front of one of the warehouses. “Just give me fifteen minutes,” I said jumpin’ from the car. I didn’t wanna give him a chance to open my door, or try to accompany me inside.

When I walked in the door of Tony’s office, my face showed my uneasiness. There wasn’t any furniture, no receptionist, and not even a sign on the door or wall. I guess the muscle-bound, well-dressed security were supposed to scare me, but I wasn’t afraid of bawled up faces. I couldn’t understand how a smart man like Tony had all these big burly guys standin’ around in the open space doin’ nothin’.

I scanned the place wonderin’ what the hell kinda business he was operatin’. What did he sell? Cause I saw nothin’. One guy cracked his knuckles while another made annoyin’ sounds with his throat like he wanted to attack me.

“Is Tony here?” I announced.

“Who wants to know?” the heaviest guy asked, runnin’ his hand through his stringy hair.

The first thing I noticed was his lazy eye. The left was normal, but his right-all fucked up. It seemed to be half open as he moved forward quickly, lettin’ me know that he needed a speedy answer. His face was partially red like he’d been burnt in a tannin’ booth and his voice was hell of deep…almost scary, but I still pretended to be unaffected by it. Strangely, my eyes were instantly attracted to his thighs when he got up close. They bulged beneath his tight fittin’ pants
along with the startlin’ image of his dick print. “Co-Co,” I announced. “Tell him Co-Co is here,” I repeated.

He waved in an irritated manner for me to follow him. “He’d better be expecting you.”

I didn’t answer. I simply followed my tall leader down a narrow hallway until we got to a door that said ‘Office’. When it opened, I could see Tony sittin’ behind a large desk straight ahead.

“Oh, she’s good,” Tony shouted, greetin’ me with a wide grin.

I looked up at my tall tour guide wantin’ to say somethin’ smart, instead I waltzed in like I owned the place. “Who was that?” I said real nasty-like after bein’ allowed into his office.

“C’mere, sweetness. That was Gino. He’s my right hand. Stays with me day in and day out.”

“Well, I neva saw him with you when you came to Betty’s,” I said sarcastically. “Woulda neva forgot him with that fucked up eye.” I snickered.

Tony remained serious. “Oh, believe me, he was there. Downstairs,” he announced. “Waiting, just in case any problems arose.”
