I shook my head. I was too stunned to speak.

"Your words were . . . Veronica, I am going to fuck you into the next world." Her free hand slid around and grabbed my arse. "Oh and baby you did!!" The lift pinged and she moved away. I was still standing in the corner. Not sure what had happened.  Had I just been the victim of sexual harassment ?? Of course not, she had just confirmed all my worst fears. I straightened myself out and we left the lift.

"I can't wait till Sunday" she smiled.

Sunday?

I cocked my head to the side and shrugged my shoulders. "What is happening Sunday?"

"We have a shoot planned!"

"I can't on Sunday. It's George's birthday!!"

"Tough! You've verbally agreed your contract." Her eyes lit up. She was enjoying herself. "Bye Blakie." And off she trotted.

I stood stunned.

FUCK!!!

Great, looked like I was sleeping on the sofa again tonight!!!

Right everything was set . . . Wine, candles, food and my rehearsed speech. All I needed was Georgina. I looked at the clock on the cooker. She would be home any minute. Why did I feel nervous? Because I knew George could kick my arse.

The front door opened. "Hey" she groaned, kicking off her shoes and throwing her bag. She wasn't very domestic. I always cooked and picked up after her. I didn't mind. I loved taking care of my girl. Her eyes locked on the table and a wonderful smile appeared on her lips. She floated over to me. "Oh, Blake. This is wonderful."

"Does the lady want wine?" I showed her the bottle and she nodded like a little child. I poured her glass and handed it to her. "Here. Compliments of the prick you live with."

Her eyes lowered and she looked sad. "All you had to do was call!!" She took her seat at the table. I nodded, she was right I should of never of have forgotten about her.

"I know and I really am sorry. I am such a dickhead. I really don't deserve you Georgina." I walked over and bent down so we were nose to nose. "I'm sorry, can you forgive me?" I gave a sad face and she gave a little giggle. "That's my girl" I kissed her on the lips in the first time that felt like forever. I had missed her soft satin lips. "I love you."

She placed her glass on the table and wrapped her arms around my neck. Just her smell and the heat from her body made me convulse with ecstasy.

"Please, please, please never do anything like that again" she pleaded.

I pulled away. "I promise. Now time for dinner!" I fetched the plates from the kitchen and placed in front of Georgina. Her eyes lit up.  It was her favourite jacket potato with beans. She wasn't into all the posh nosh I liked. She preferred the basics.

Her eyes filled with greed. "This is my favourite " She grabbed her fork and began to tuck in. I took my seat. For a few seconds I just took in the sight of her happiness. I would enjoy this moment a little longer before I gave her the bombshell. I started to eat my own dinner.

"What was it like with your mum?"

She shrugged. "Good. You know my mum!"

I actually didn't know her mum apart from what Georgina had told me. We had been together two years and I hadn't once met her mother. I wasn't sure who she was embarrassed about more me or her mum? Maybe she didn't want her two worlds to collide or maybe she was scared I would meet her mother and do a runner.

She had told me before she was scared about people leaving her. I did feel a little bad for my girl. I was the only constant stable person she had in her life. Yet, I still messed up. I could never hurt Georgina. She had been through enough already. I felt the guilt build up in me. There was no way I could keep anything else from her. I just had to come clean. I put the fork down and took a deep breath. It was now or never.

"I need to tell you something. At the time I had no idea about this at all. If I did I would never have of agreed to it. You know I love and I will make it up in any way you want."

Phew, I had to breath.

Georgina's fork stood still in mid air. Her mouth was open and her eyes dimmed a little.

"It's just... I have to work on Sunday” I quickly added.

Georgina smiled. "I know" and she carried on eating.

"How do you know?"

"I'm your bosses PA"

"What about your birthday?" I was shocked but then logically I bet she did already know.

"You can spoil me Saturday and then you have to work Sunday to try to pay for everything." She winked. "I want to be treated like a princess."

"Georgina Dawson, you are  a princess with no doubt. I will make sure Saturday is the best day of your life."

And that was a promise

CHAPTER 7

I glanced at the clock on my computer. Ooo not long now. I was going to finally meet Amy at the Grand Café for a few glasses of wine. I was really excited as I hadn't had a girly gossip for a while. My life had just been full of men and work. I began to clean up my desk and get ready to leave.

"See you tomorrow, George" Hannah waved.

"See you tomorrow. The last day we will be working together" I pouted. I had enjoyed our lunchtime chats. Even though it was just me listening to Hannah go on about her pregnancy .  I didn't mind.... From next week it would just be me and Maxwell... Alone!!

A twinge of excitement filled my belly.

NO!

I had to stop thinking of him like that. I had made a promise to myself that I and Maxwell were not going to happen again. I still kept thinking about him and dreaming about him. When he walked into a room I would find myself staring, remembering the feel of his lips on mine and the way he touched my skin. I had even stopped sleeping with Blake. I didn't want to erase Maxwell's touch.

What was wrong with me?

Then on the other hand. I kept seeing him kissing Veronica. The more I thought about it the more jealousy took its hold of me. Maybe it wasn't how it looked. Then again did I really know him? I shook my head, I really had to move on and get on with normal day to day life.

"Georgina," Just the sound of his voice saying my name made me feel dizzy. He stood up against his door. It must of been dressed down Thursday or something. He was wearing jeans and a white T-shirt. The T-shirt hugged every ripped muscle of his chest. He was a beautiful sight. "Could you come in here for a moment before you leave." His attention turned to Hannah. "Have a good maternity leave and keep us informed."

"I will do, Mr Thomas" she beamed. Didn't he affect her? I had never asked her before. She had mentioned she thought he was good looking. I doubted very much she fancied him. Trust me to be the only one around here with a schoolgirl's crush!!

I rose from my desk and made my way into his office.  I closed the door behind me He sat down in his chair and patted a free space at his desk..  I perched on his desk and crossed my legs. I was unaware the lace top of  my stockings was showing. His eyes drew to it and he gave me that smile. Wow, all my organs flipped at once.

He ran a hand through his hair. "I just wanted a word with you. I am not here tomorrow. I need to get a few things for Hannah . .Presents. You can use anything you need out of petty cash."

Was that all?

"Oh," I replied dishearteningly. "I can do that. Is that all?"

"No" he reached out and his index finger began to run along the lace top. I gushed. He was intoxicating and now I wasn't allowed him. I had tasted enjoyed it but now I had to deny it. He wasn't good for my health.

"I got you something" He leant towards me. I closed my eyes and took in his scent. He sat back up holding a box. I raised my eyebrows. "Your birthday present" he laughed and handed it over.

"Thank you. Can I open it?"

"No, wait till you're alone" he whispered. "I hope you like it...." His voice trailed off and his eyes looked sad. "You better go. I bet you have plans."

"I do" the same sadness filled my voice. " See you Monday." I got up and made my way to the office door.

"Georgina!"

Within seconds I felt his hand round my wrist, he spun me round and pushing me into the closed door. His fingers trailed up my throat and then his lips were on mine. His tongue invading my mouth.

He tasted too good. His free hand in twinged in my hair. I could have an orgasm just by the feel of this. He pulled away breathing hard. He dropped his hands down to his sides.

"Sorry" he mumbled. "I just needed to." I didn't say anything. I was too stunned. I nodded and left. I grabbed my bag and headed towards the lift. I had to get out of this place.

The lift pinged open and I ran inside. Then I remembered I was still holding on to the present he had just given me. I was alone now. I could open it. I slowly lifted the lid off and something fell out. Wow!! It was a gold chain with a large heart pendant  I bent down to find whatever it was I had dropped.

It was a note:

Happy birthday M x PS, turn the pendent over.

I did. Engraved was the letter R.  I kept blinking. I couldn't make out what it meant. Surely it must of been a mistake. I closed up the box and discarded it in my bag.

Where was I going to hide it?

It's not like I could tell anyone my boss brought me presents. I couldn't wait till work Monday. I had to think of a way to thank him. A little naughty smirk came to my lips.

The place hadn't changed one little bit  nor had the people. Peter; One of the bar staff was standing chatting to some brunette. I laughed,  he always had his mind on one thing. His eyes looked up.

"George!!" he yelled, he ran over and hugged me. "Wow  look at you all Miss PA. How are you?"

I manage to escape from his grip. "Good, have you seen Amy?"

"Your hot friend" he gave a little wink. He hadn't changed. "She's over at the back. I'll be on a break soon  I'll come over  and you can tell me about your new job."

"Okay" I smiled. I went in search of Amy. She was sitting in the back. A bottle of wine was already waiting on the table. Her thick dark hair was pulled back and she was dressed in a power suit. The permanent feature of her phone was glued to her ear. I took a seat opposite her. She held a finger up making it clear she was in an important discussion. I poured myself a drink. I needed it. My nerves were still playing havoc  with my mind. I kept playing the whole thing with Maxwell in my head.

"How the fuck . . .  I thought the little fuck was going out of business . . . Really!! . . .  Fucking sly shit.  . . . Right, double our offer. I can't have him do it again. I need this contract, Sharon... Well you better try fucking harder. Tons of people would want your job. . . . DO NOT let that fucking bastard out bid you. If you do your fucking GONE!!!" She slammed her phone down and I finally had her attention. "Don't you fucking hate the no smoking shit in public places?"

I laughed. "Doesn't bother me I gave up . . . What's with all the swearing!"
