Several weeks later

T
his was her
life now, what she’d thought about when she saw herself with the man she loved. She watched him on that stage, felt the thickness in the air as he set things up for his scene at Club Corruption.

It had only been a few weeks, but things had become closer with them, more electrified. Even after haring about what he’d done, about the fear he harbored, that he thought he’d hurt her, she only saw a goodness in Malcolm.

He had darkness in him, his animal always at the surface now, always watching her. His wolf was like a protector, always making sure she was in his line of sight, that she’d never be threatened. It was strange, having this intense connection with someone, having a mate.

God, just thinking about that, feeling the connection she had with Malcolm was like she’d been missing something in her life this whole time.

She turned from the stage and scanned the crowd gathered tonight. They’d come to watch Malcolm preform, but not only him. Madison stared across the room at Dmitri, one of the Dom’s that preferred darker scenes.

Blood.

Knives.

Screams of pleasure and pain … but mostly of pain.

Those were some of the things he liked to give his subs, to give the audience. Malcolm was a sadist, loved giving her pain with her pleasure, and she loved being his masochist, but there was something harder, darker about Dmitri.

She turned from Dmitri bringing a knife across the thigh of one of the women in his scene.

Madison stared at the man, the wolf shifter that she loved so much it hurt. He stood still on the stage, staring at the crowd. And when his gaze landed on her, she felt like the world tilted under her. He lifted his arm and held his hand out to her. She was his sub, the only female he did scenes with now, and it was such a heady rush, a heavy sensation that felt almost surreal.

Never had she thought that she’d be in this situation, having a mate, or loving a wolf shifter, but she had all of those things and more.

She moved toward the stage, climbed the few steps it took to be on the podium, and as she stood there in her corset, the laces tied tightly, all she felt was the tether to Malcolm being pulled tighter. She was bound to this man, willing to give herself to him, accept anything he told her, and she knew he would do the same for her.

And as she slipped her hand in his, let him pull her toward the hardness of his body, all she could think about was that there was nothing greater in this world than feeling like she actually belonged, and that she was loved.

imitri kept his
beast locked up tight as he ran the side of the blade across Lidia’s thigh. She was such a hot little slut but one that didn’t like to go too far. Lidia was his mate, destined to be his, yet she fought him at every turn. She wouldn’t see him outside of Club Corruption. He’d tried, but Lidia just wouldn’t allow it, keeping him at arm’s length.

“You’re going to do everything that I want you to do,” he said, sliding the blade up the inside of her thigh before sliding his knife underneath her panties, and slicing them off. He was an expert when it came to the knife, yet there were only a couple of women who allowed him to get close to them. Lidia was the only one who let him go so far. He saw the trust she held for him. She would be bound, with no way of getting away from him, yet she wouldn’t trust him enough outside of the club to even go on a date with him.

It was time for his woman to realize who owned her, who she belonged to. He’d held himself away from her, and now he was done. He was done waiting for her to get over whatever shit was going on in her mind.

She loved it when he played with his blades. Trusted him enough not to strike her skin and kill her. There were days he wanted to throttle her. He was the only man made for her. He’d love her with all of his heart and soul. They belonged together.

“Yes, Sir,” Lidia said.

“No, yes, Mate. No more running, Lidia. We belong together. Stop running from me, and I can give you more than this. I can make all of your dark desires come true.”
