“Nice to meet you.” Cami smiled and then stepped a little closer. “Can we talk privately for a moment?”

Both men looked at each other then back at Cami and nodded together. They looked similar but not identical, but they had exact mannerisms. Interesting, she thought and led them through the room into the corner where Jo was standing.

Jo introduced herself and smiled when she took both of their hands. “Warriors at heart.”

Both of the men blushed and looked down. “Thank you.” They said, and waited until one of them spoke.

“We need a favor.” Cami started with her most charming smile.

“Anything.” Both men replied and Cami"s smile got bigger.

“Excellent.” She replied and began to explain what they needed them to do.

After an hour of explaining and questions, they had made a plan. Cami felt confident that she was doing what her mates would want her to. The twin bears walked to where their mother was standing and whispered in her ear. She nodded and kissed both of them and then smiled at her Alpha and nodded.

Jo let go of the breath she was holding. Gods, if her children came and told her they were going on a dangerous mission she would not be so calm. She felt Cami"s relief also.

The small Alpha went to the men again and led them through the doorway to give final instructions, and allow them to get supplies they would need from the Enforcers.

Casey and Sid walked into the doorway right when Jo heard and felt a disturbance in the air next to her and suddenly Devon and Dalton were standing there.

“Fuck a duck.” Jo cried out and jumped.

“Opps, sorry. We couldn"t warn you, so I had to hope we were not going to land on top of someone. Usually I can sense where people are, but with that weird shadow thing, you were all hidden.” Dalton laughed.

Casey and Sid ran to their mate Devon"s side and hugged him. A few moments were given to the mates before their Alpha returned to the room and started demanding answers to what the hell was going on.

Devon explained and Cami quickly gathered a few documents that her mates would need and gave them to Dalton before he flashed back out. Devon asked his mates to gather the New Council and the Enforcers in the room next to the nursery so they could plan what they were going to do next.

Chapter 11

Blaine took Kira back to their room when Dalton and Devon flashed out. He knew it would be a little while before their mate returned, so he wanted to give his mate who had been on the run for a week time to rest.

Kira had other plans though. When they entered their room, she turned and pinned him to the door climbing up him like a tree and wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist before kissing him aggressively.

Blaine was caught off guard, but still grabbed her around the waist and held her to him then took over the kiss. He turned so she was against the door and braced her with one hand while the other began to take her clothes off. She groaned and grabbed his shirt and pulled it off.

“I need you.” She whispered and stopped long enough to look at him in the eyes so he understood that she was serious.

“Well you got me.” Blaine said and set her down long enough to pull off her pants and push his down and then grabbed her again and resumed kissing her. They were both out of control. Blaine could feel her desperation and did not stop to question it, he just gave her what she needed.

At least that made it a little easier when thinking about being separated. Dalton worked for two weeks getting everyone back. Finally the time came when Blaine was the only one left. Quin and Dalton flashed back a few hours ago and he was waiting for Dalton to return. Finally, the shift in the air around the room came and his mate stood before him.

“Well, how are things?” Blaine asked.

“The shadow has moved right to the edge of town. Quin and Jaden are beginning their calls with other Alphas to get help. Cami has everything organized although when they found out that their little Alpha mate had went with a group of Enforcers to rescue a fox who had been caught in town, they had been pissed. Kira is settling into our rooms with your mother as a constant companion. The strange thing she said was that since you have been separated, she has not had any visions. She doesn"t know if it is because of the shadow or because of the separation.” Dalton explained.

“I haven"t either so it must be because we are separate. That kinda sucks.” Blaine said absently thinking to himself. Since they had mated, the only visions they had were when they had tried. Before they came at unexpected times. It must mean because they were mated, that they had more control over it. However, there were some things the spirits were still not allowing them to see. He was getting a little frustrated by the fact that they could not see who the leader of the Rogues was.

They talked about the rest of the news from the Pack. Sid and his brothers were busy building places for people to stay. The New Council houses were being used for the Pack and the Council members were all staying at the Pack house. It made sense. Devon had assigned an Enforcer to each of the Council members for safety. Dalton called his parents and they were going to arrive at the Pack house later this week. They had spoken to the Sidhe leader and since Dalton was a mate of the Chosen, they had agreed to an alliance.

At that announcement however, some of the Sidhe had left the group and disappeared, it was assumed that they were joining the Rogues. Quin and Jaden had been worried about that, but it looked like the entire community of shifters and magical people were divided. It was going to be a battle to get people to understand what their purpose was.

Blaine knew that they were going to have an uphill battle, but hopefully they would be able to change some of the people minds before it got too bad. He hated that they would be at war with shifters that were once called friends. He wondered what exactly the Rogue was telling people in order to get them on their side. Oh well, that answer would come, for tonight he had a night alone with one of his mates.

Since Dalton had taken Kira, Blaine had refrained from sex with his mate. He wanted him to save all of his energy for flashing. Tonight though, he was going to celebrate going home with his mate.

They ate a quick meal and then Dalton smiled at him, “I need a shower.”

Chapter 12

Quin and Jaden waited with the rest of the New Council for the last of the Chosen to flash back into the room. They all needed to be together. Cami had sent Blaine"s brothers to find help with the witches, something they had both praised her for, since they got out in the nick of time. The only way out of the compound right now was with the use of the Sidhe. It was good that Dalton"s family was coming. They would at least be able to set up some sort of transport.

The pack that was Denver had begun to gather their things to move. Leaving them out in the open made Jaden and Quin nervous and so they had ordered them to the compound. The phone worked intermittently so the best way to communicate had been computers; however, Devon and Darien felt they were being monitored so they had Reggie and Casey make a secret page for them to communicate. So far, none had hacked them.

It was time to even the playing field, they wanted the town to accept members from each species, becoming the only place that everyone was represented. They had contacted many shifters and asked volunteers to be the ambassadors for them.

The next few months were going to be crazy and they needed something to help them.

Quin sent a silent prayer to the spirits asking them for guidance.

Dalton and Blaine appeared in the corner and Kira squealed and ran to her mates. She jumped into both of their arms while the rest of the people looked on smiling. They had come to love the quirky small bear.
