“Don't
move,” he said, turning a stern look on her.

She
nodded, knowing instinctively what he was going to do. She watched his head dip
closer, and then his mouth was on her clit, sucking and licking at her. She
might have screamed, but then he bit her lightly and her climax roared over
her. She pulled on the leather ties as he kept at it, biting and sucking until
the pleasure settled and came back again. She panted, trying to hang on, but
another orgasm was building in her and she wanted more. She wanted his cock
inside her. Abruptly he stood up, lips red with her blood, and bit himself
again, shoving his wrist at her face. She drank, watching his eyes go hot. When
he pulled away, he shoved his hips against her violently. His cock filled her
completely with one hard, savage thrust.

“Don't
move,” he warned again, breath harsh in her ear.

She
swallowed the blood in her mouth and let herself go completely limp, trusting
him to keep her safe. She rode the pleasure as though it were a wave.

He
grunted and rotated his hips, grinding his pubic hair into her clit.

She
shuddered and whispered, “Fuck me, Jasper. Come on.”

He
snarled and kissed her. Then he bent his head and bit her neck and she climaxed
again as he thrust into her, hips pushing into her body. She wrapped her legs
around him and took him in, reveling in it, knowing he wouldn't let her fall.
He fucked her until she came again,
then
let himself
go, head falling to her shoulder as his body jerked inside her. The heat of him
filled her up until she couldn't think of anything at all except him.

Sienna
woke slowly. She was in bed with a warm body pressed up against her back. The
drapes were drawn over the windows, but she could see the tiniest bit of light
peeking in from the seam. She yawned then abruptly remembered what she'd done
with him last night and flushed. She let him tie her up.
With her mother in a room down the hall.
Good God. She tensed, about to sit up, when the arm around her waist tightened.

“Relax,”
Jasper murmured against her neck. His fingers soothed along her ribcage.
“Everything's fine.”

Sienna
took a deep breath and forced herself to calm the hell down. “Jasper,” she
sighed, settling into the soft warmth of the bed. “You untied me?”

“Of
course,” he said, sliding his leg between her thighs.
“Your
wrists?”

She
lifted a hand, but nothing hurt. That was surprising.
“Fine.”

He
nuzzled under her hair. “Good. You'll heal faster now that we've shared more
blood.” He slid a hand down to her hip and she let herself go boneless against
his solid heat. “Thank you,” he murmured, sounding almost tentative.

She
shrugged, confused. “I should be thanking you. That was … amazing.” She cleared
her throat. “Last night was amazing.” She felt his smile against her skin and
she closed her eyes, content, then he smoothed his palm over her mound. When he
began to tease at her clit, she caught her breath. His cock grew against her
ass and she squirmed a little. “What time is it?

Did you sleep?”

“Nearly seven in the morning and no.
I don't need as much sleep as you do, and I
wouldn't be able to sleep at night anyway.” He nudged her thigh up and his
erection slid right into her. He licked under her ear.

She bit
her lip, arousal moving through her in a slow, hot wave. “Oh. I should check on
my Mom.”

“In a bit.
We're safe. No one can get in the mansion,” he said, rolling her over until she
was sprawled on top of him. “And please, can we not talk about your mother
while we’re having sex?”

“Sorry.
That’s kind of a mood killer, huh?” She laughed, wobbling a bit as she tried to
keep her balance.
“Uh, Jasper?
Is this position
actually going to work?” she asked, gripping his hips. He was still inside her
and she didn't want to move and dislodge him. He felt so delicious.

“It is
entirely possible,” he replied, bucking his hips. His cock slid in further and
she moaned. “Touch yourself.” He took her hand and put it on her pussy.

She slid
her fingers down, circling his erection,
then
rubbed
her palm over her clit, gasping as he fucked into her.

“Okay,
this is good, this works.” She palmed her clit again,
then
reached down further to touch his balls. He caught his breath, fucking in
harder,
his
arm around her waist going rock hard. She
grinned and twisted, pressing up behind his balls on his perineum. He froze,
then
fucked into her hard and fast. She lost the spot, but
it didn't matter. He had a hand over her waist and one on her clit. Between one
breath and the next, they were
orgasming
together.
She groaned and he thrust inside one last time before they both went limp.

“Okay.
Waking up like that is way better than using an alarm clock,” she said when she
could get her voice working again.

“I
agree,” he said, his voice warm and affectionate. He pulled the covers up over
them both, tucking her against him.

She
closed her eyes happily, trying to reconcile the image of the man she'd first
met—large, dark, forbidding—with the affectionate lover she had in bed with her
now. She felt like she had this wonderful secret and wanted to keep it that
way, close to her body, like a much-loved blanket. Sliding off of him, she
rolled over and hugged him tightly, shoving her face in his neck.

“Never
leave me,” she said, tightening her arms around his chest.

“I
won't,” he said, pressing a kiss to her head.

She
lifted her face, smiling at him, and then froze when the door burst open.

“She's
gone!” Sara said breathlessly. “Violet is gone!”

Chapter Fourteen

Jasper
cursed, tightening his arms around Sienna when she would've flung the covers
back. He didn't think she remembered they were nude beneath the comforter.

“What
happened?”

Sara
wrung her hands. “I went to check on her after I got up and her bed was empty.
I went downstairs, thinking she might have wandered to the kitchen to get a
drink, but she isn't there either. I went over the entire house, Jasper. She's
not here.”

“How did
she get out? She doesn’t even know where she is,” Sienna sad, her face looking
pinched. He knew she was worried about her mother.

He
frowned, thinking. “She can't have gone far.”

Sara
nodded. “I'll go check the grounds.” She turned.

“No, let
me do it. It's safer for you in here.”

“The
sun's
up, Jasper. It's not going to be pleasant for you,”
Sara said.

“I'll
manage.”

She
nodded. “I'm going to her room. I didn't see her purse earlier, but I'll check
again.” She spun on her heel and hurried out.

Sienna
tensed against him, then slid out of the bed. “Why would my mom just leave like
that?”

Jasper
sighed, standing up and dragging his jeans on. “She hasn't been acting normal
lately, has she?”

Sienna
frowned. “No. She hasn't. How did you know?”

“Her
reactions last night were odd. Even if she was upset with you, would she
normally try to jump out of a car when people are trying to kill us?” He found
his sweater and put it on, feeling a pang of frustration that Sienna had to
deal with this when all he wanted to do was keep her safe. “I'm sorry, Sienna.”

She shook
her head. “It's not your fault, Jasper.
God.”
She shoved
her blouse into her pants. “What the hell was she thinking?”

Jasper
rubbed his eyes, willing the tiredness he felt during daytime to subside. He
was never at his best when the sun was up. “We'll find her.”

Ten
minutes later it was evident that she'd left on her own. Her purse was gone and
the front door was unlocked. Jasper had managed to track her into the forest,
but her footprints disappeared when they reached a small clearing.

“It's
like she vanished into thin air,” Sienna said, staring down at the dirt.

“Not thin
air.
A ship.”
Jasper eyed the trees, noting the broken
branches and torn leaves at the edges of the meadow.

She
grabbed his arm. “Are you serious?”

He sighed
and rubbed his eyes again. Even though the trees blocked a lot of the sunlight,
it was still late autumn and the canopy was thinner than he liked. The sun was
hot. He shifted so that he was standing in the shadow of a large oak.
“Yeah.
Someone came and picked her up here.” He pointed a
finger at the trees, then toward the flattened ferns.

“She left
on her own,” Sienna said. “Shit. What was she thinking? She's been so careful
my whole life and now this?”

“I don't
think she had a choice, Sienna.” Jasper wished he could protect her from what
he suspected.

“What do
you mean?” She turned to him. Her long hair was disheveled and her eyes were
worried and she was so beautiful he felt his heart lurch in his chest.

He
sighed. “Remember when I told you that my people had power?
Power
that could be enhanced through age or addiction?”

She
nodded.

“I think
your mother was influenced. She showed some signs of it yesterday, but I didn't
pick up on it until just now.
Dammit
He was angry
with himself. How could he have missed it? “They would have given her some
blood, enough to start the process, but not enough to completely enslave her.
Just a little bit would enhance the mind-tricks so that she would be more
pliant.
Susceptible.”

“You
think
Alucard
has her,” Sienna said flatly, face
paling.

He
nodded.

“Shit.
What do we do?” She grabbed his hand, held on.

He
smoothed his thumb over her wrist. She had such delicate skin for such an
incredibly strong woman.

“We go to
them,” he said, simply.

****

Sienna
didn't know why they'd taken her mother, but she was determined to get her
back. She shoved her knife into her skirt pocket for the third time after
testing the blade’s sharpness,
then
checked the time.
Nearly five pm. She grimaced. At Jasper's urging, she'd gone to work and tried
to act normal. He insisted that they not tip off
Alucard
and his minions, and that meant she'd had to pretend she wasn't angry. Wasn't
desperate to go to New York where Jasper said
Alucard
had his headquarters here on Earth. She wanted to storm the building and get
her mother back, but she knew it wouldn’t be that simple. It took all her
patience, not that she had that much, to fend off Bill and act like nothing had
happened last night and this morning.

“Where
are you going again?” Linda asked, stopping by her desk.

“New
York. Jasper's taking me out to dinner.” It was all she could do to keep her
voice level.

“That's
why you're all dressed up, right?
Slinky black skirt, red
top.
I haven't seen you wear this since last year's holiday party.”

Sienna
shrugged. “He told me to wear something nice. Hey, how's Dillon doing?” She
hoped the change of subject would turn her friend's attention away from her
so-called dinner date.

“He's
doing great, thank goodness. They released him this morning. John says he
doesn't remember what happened at all. I'm going over their mom's place
tonight. I would've asked you to come, but you've got a hot date.” Linda
grinned at her.

Sienna
rolled her eyes. “Come on. It's just dinner.”

“Someone's
going out tonight,” Bill said, leering over the cubical wall at them. He
reached out a hand and rubbed a fold of her shirt between two fingers.

Sienna
jerked away. She wanted to punch him. “Get lost, Bill.”

“Oh, always so prickly.”
He pursed his lips suggestively. “I know where you're
going.”

She sent
a sharp look his way. He was staring down at her, a light sheen of sweat on his
face. He looked like a junkie coming down from a bad trip. Was he one of the
slaves Jasper described? She wouldn't be surprised. “Bill, I don't care what
you know.” She turned her back on him, ignoring the prickle of warning she felt
down her spine. He couldn't do a damn thing to her here, in full view of
everyone.

“I'll see
you later, Sienna,” Linda said, throwing a puzzled look at Bill. “I'm meeting
John downstairs—” She looked at her phone, checking the time.
“Um, now.”

Sienna
smiled and gave her a hug. “Tell Dillon I hope he feels better.”

“I will,”
Linda said, smiling as she walked away.
