All of what I wasn’t quite sure.
Personally I wanted to take a hot shower anytime I got near him. “Hey babe,” Larry said with a wink or what would’ve looked like a wink if he had eyelids. Instead it just appeared creepy. I tried not to gag. Oblivious to my disgust, he continued, “We good now?”
“Yep.” I nodded. “Your debts paid in full. But don’t think for a second that next time I won’t kick your sorry ass. This was a one shot deal.”
“Bitch,” Larry said, hiking up his sagging muscles and heading for the restroom marked ‘GNOME’. I watched him leave, a smile on my face.
“I’m glad that’s over,” Ivan said.
Quinn caught my eye and smiled. We both knew this wasn’t the end, but a new beginning, for us, and the fight for freedom. “Let’s go home.” Quinn reached down, helped me to my feet, and lifted his sagging corpse into his arms. “We’ve got a lot of sewing to do.”
I nodded, took his hand, and together we headed out into the moonlit night.
