“Why couldn’t she just go out and fuck everything in sight?” he grumbled.

That was another fun side effect…intense bursts of sexual energy.

“I never did that,” Felicia pointed out absently, “but I did buy a vibrator from a human gadget store and wore it out on a regular basis.”

She jerked her wrist away, stumbling back in horror.

“Oh my God, I can’t believe I just said that.”

Gavin couldn’t respond, his brain bombarded with images of Felicia, naked and spread, easing a thick buzzing cock between delicate folds as her other hand plucked her stiff nipples. And then he was in the room with her, watching with hot eyes as she pleasured herself for him alone. Her hair would be unbound and glorious, her face lax with desire as she got herself off with the phallic toy, moaning his name, begging for the real thing. Gavin struggled to get his mouth to form words.

“Don’t worry about it,” he rumbled, knowing that he was doing a shit job trying to keep the lust out of his voice.

What a fucking nightmare.

All Gavin wanted was to go home, have a couple of fingers of scotch, and put the Dawes sisters and the unique problems they conjured up out of his head. But Fae was coming for him – whatever she meant by that. And Felicia was clearly determined to resolve the situation, one way or another.

“I need to get out of here,” he muttered.

“What about Fae?” demanded Felicia, and Gavin couldn’t lie to her.

So he said nothing, just stepped around her and started for the door. His bodyguards were waiting by the service elevator at the base of the roof stairs. Gavin knew he could be home in fifteen minutes, and suddenly he couldn’t wait any longer. But her voice drifted back.

“If you banish my sister, you’ll have to banish me too.”

Shit.

THE WORDS MADE HER voice tremble, but Felicia meant every one. It would break her heart to leave her world behind, but for Fae, she would do it. Fae put on a good face, but she was a child of the magical world. She didn’t really understand humans and their technology. She had no interest in the non-magical community. She wouldn’t last a week out there on her own, her powers stripped. Felicia knew that it would be rough, but her years in PR had taught her about humans, taught her to appreciate their methods and gadgets. If push came to shove, she was certain that she could find a job and provide for them both while teaching Fae a few basic survival skills.

Gavin turned to face her, and Felicia was surprised to see him fairly shaking with fury.

“You’d give up your powers?” he asked, his voice soft and deadly.

Felicia nodded, though her stomach dropped. She could feel the tension in her hair, even bound by the clips – it trembled in fear, and she wondered if it would lose its sentience if her powers were stripped.

“Don’t,” continued Gavin, “don’t tie your fate to Fae’s.”

“I have to.”

Gavin’s head drooped, and Felicia couldn’t see his expression, but he seemed defeated. He was worried about her, and the thought had tendrils of warmth curling her toes, even as her anxiety spiked. No more magic meant no more Gavin, too.
That
thought made her want to cry, but a kernel of inspiration started to bloom.

He wants me.

He might die before admitting it, but the signs were there. Suddenly, Felicia felt with absolute certainty that the same frustration that kept her up nights, skimming her hands over her skin, pretending they were his, ate away at him, too. The way he’d stared at her breasts, caressed her wrist…but did he want her badly enough to barter? Could she get him to admit it? There was only one way to find out.

Gavin started toward the stairs again.

It was now or never.

“Take me,” Felicia blurted out as he neared the door.

Gavin stopped.

“What?”

Felicia hurried to join him under the awning by the rooftop door, out of the wind.

“Let Fae go and you can have me.”

“Have you?”

His voice sounded strangled, but his expression was glacial as Felicia nodded, shivering.

“I’ll do anything. Anything you want.”

She knew she was dooming any chance of a future with Gavin, but she hadn’t had high hopes of one to start with, just wistful daydreams and a few naughty fantasies. Felicia’s body certainly didn’t seem to care that this was an idiotic plan. Her pussy throbbed, already damp at the thought of being a sexual toy for this man she’d wanted for so long. This close, she could see the hint of dark stubble on his jaw and breathe in the heady scent of his aftershave. She wanted to lean in and take a bite.

Gavin was still frozen.

“Anything,” repeated Felicia in a whisper.

SHE KNEW.

The thought bounced around in Gavin’s head like a demented Jack-in-the-Box as he tried to process the idea. She knew what she did to him. She knew that she was his vulnerability, that given any weakness in his emotional armor, she could wriggle her way in and methodically destroy him from the inside out. Because he couldn’t say no. She was offering herself to him on a silver platter, and he couldn’t convince himself to turn her down.

Gavin steeled himself.

You can’t have her. Scare her off before it’s too late.

She could never be a casual fuck, and if he had to banish Fae, she’d never speak to him again. This situation had
regret
written all over it.

“Anything?” he asked, his voice harsh, and Felicia nodded, eyes wide.

Deliberately, Gavin let his eyes wander down her figure, lingering on the curves of her breasts, the womanly swell of her hips, and the juncture at the top of her thighs. Felicia bit her lip but let him look, her fingers gripping the edges of his jacket.

Jeez, that dress is painted on.

“If I asked, would you strip for me? Right here?” he growled.

A tiny inhalation, and then a nod.

Gavin’s cock jerked in his pants.

“Go to your knees and take my cock down your throat?”

“Yes,” breathed Felicia.

Gavin caught her involuntary swallow, as though she were picturing it, and nearly groaned aloud.

“So you’d fuck me on this rooftop to protect your sister?”

“Yes, I would.”

“What if I called my bodyguards up here and said I wanted you to spread your thighs so I could watch them fuck you?”

“You don’t share,” she gasped, but there was a trace of uncertainty, of fear in her voice, and Gavin couldn’t go on.

He could humiliate her, insult her, destroy her interest in him, but it might kill him in the process. Black eyes burning into green, Gavin took her hand and pressed a kiss into the palm, savoring her shiver and the sweetness of her skin.

“Go home, Felicia,” he murmured, feeling lower than low as tears gathered in her eyes.

Gavin couldn’t take it. Turning, he reached for the door handle.

“Wait! Gavin, stop!”

Gavin ignored Felicia’s desperate command. He needed to get away from her before he did something monumentally stupid. His body was tight with arousal, and the hunger he saw in her eyes only twisted the knife deeper – if he hadn’t been such a chicken shit and actually approached her the way he’d wanted to, they might have had something. And now it was too late.

The rush of warm magic was a complete surprise, and Gavin barely had time to turn around before he felt it spread…heat and power, surging through his body in warm, seductive pulses.

“What did you do?!?” he gasped, his head falling back as his dick swelled a nearly impossible inch, hard and throbbing as warm, invisible fingers stroked every part of his body.

Felicia stepped forward, her eyes worried.

“It’s just a little smitten spell. I’m so sorry, Gavin. But if you won’t let Fae go, I need some time to figure something out. It’ll just make you starry-eyed for a little while, but the effects will wear off in time.”

Gavin groaned. The warm fingers had morphed into searing hunger, and the only thing that mattered was getting as close to Felicia Dawes as possible.

Must touch.

She squeaked in surprise as he grabbed her and pressed her back against the wall, the feel of her body soothing and inflaming at the same time.

Much better
, he thought.

SOMETHING WAS DREADFULLY WRONG, thought Felicia hazily, even though Gavin Harcourt felt better against her body than anything had ever felt before in her entire life, all hard muscle and warm, unyielding flesh.

“This isn’t right,” Felicia gasped as his mouth found the curve of her throat and started exploring, “It’s just supposed to make you a little more pliable. It should make you want to please me.”

“Oh, I want to please you, Felicia,” groaned Gavin, and Felicia’s mind blanked as he ground his hips against her, the solid evidence of his attraction a brand against her stomach.

“Smitten spells only work when the caster and the castee have no real interest in each other, or if it’s one way. But if they’re both
actually
smitten…”

Gavin didn’t finish, but he didn’t need to. Felicia
knew
this. It just hadn’t occurred to her when she decided on the spell as a last ditch backup plan that Gavin would feel even a smidgen of what she did. And then he was heading for the door and she
had
to keep him here, and –

“Oh God, Gavin,” she whimpered as he gently nipped her collarbone with sharp teeth and then soothed the spot with his tongue.

With a desperate sound, Gavin pulled himself back from her, panting like he’d run a marathon, his hands clenched into fists to keep from grabbing her again.

“Not like this,” he growled, “Just go, Felicia. I’ll be okay.”

Felicia leaned against the wall, staring at him. She was having trouble focusing on why it was important not to take everything he had to offer. Right now. Her pussy was practically begging for him, hot and wet, and every inch of her skin felt unbearably sensitive. She wanted Gavin Harcourt, so badly that she was okay with a meaningless, magically fueled sexual encounter.

Pathetic.

Hurry.

“If you don’t disappear in five seconds, it’ll be too late. I’ll fuck you against this wall, and I’d rather die than hurt you,” he growled.

Felicia licked her lips, and Gavin groaned, clearly holding himself in check.

“The spell only amplified feelings that were already there, Gavin. I don’t want to go.”

She thought he’d argue with her, but suddenly he was against her again, his mouth coming down on hers, and any second thoughts vanished like the wind. Felicia kissed him back eagerly, desperate to get closer, twining her tongue with his, hot and wet and incredible. There wasn’t an ounce of give to his body, and she was suddenly desperate for skin. Gavin’s hands were everywhere, and Felicia absently wondered how much of this was Gavin and how much was magic.

“I’ve been dying for you for months,” he muttered against her mouth, answering her unspoken question, “But I never thought…”

He nudged his suit jacket off to pool at her feet and gently pushed the straps of her dress off her shoulders, pulling back to watch as he peeled the garment down to her waist, revealing a black strapless bra. Gavin’s eyes gleamed. Felicia knew she should feel awkward, but all she felt was
hot,
so hot that she didn’t feel the chill in the air. Instead, she felt his groan run through her entire body as she reached behind and unfastened the bra, letting it join the jacket on the ground.

“Silver,” murmured Gavin, delighted, dropping to his knees.

Felicia spread her legs a little, putting him at perfect height for a close encounter with her breasts. She’d only had a few boyfriends, but they’d always been fascinated with her nipples, the same luminous silver as her hair.
And her clit.
She’d felt awkward about them when she was younger, but it was hard to feel anything but
hungry
as Gavin shaped her breasts with his hands, stroking and petting, clearly enchanted, literally and figuratively.

“In my mind, they were pink,” he admitted, and captured one tight silver nipple in his mouth.

Felicia gasped as sensation streaked to her clit, and she arched, teetering on her stilettos, diving her fingers into his hair. Gavin steadied her with a hard grip of her hips, and then settled in to suck, driving her mad with each languid pull, switching sides until her nipples were swollen and gleaming, and her panties were soaked. Gavin pulled back to admire, tugging and rolling lightly.

“So pretty and sweet,” he said, “Hot little witch. What other surprises do you have for me?”

He didn’t seem to expect an answer, but tugged her dress over her hips and off, and then urged her to open her legs until she was leaning against the wall for balance, spread obscenely wide in only her strappy heels and a skimpy black lace thong. Gavin’s eyes glowed hotly and he snapped his fingers. The thong disintegrated into scraps, fluttering to the ground.
