And, wouldn’t you know it, I was suddenly knot-free. Like I said, fate can be a tricky thing. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him in. “You thinking what I’m thinking, Josh?”

He grabbed my cock, which had once again begun its steady, inevitable rise. “Probably, Roy.” He pushed himself up higher and planted one on my mouth, making my lips instantly buzz and my heart pound in double time. “Looks like it really will be a happy new year, huh?”

“The happiest,” I agreed, kissing him again and again and again.

In the end, I really did lay the best trap. I might not have caught the man I had intended to, but hey, I wasn’t about to complain. Come? Sure. But complain? Nuh-uh.

I stared up at the wooden ceiling and grinned, thinking all the while,
Thank you, Baby New Year, wherever you are.
