Readers' Group Guide Questions
1.
Lorain judged Unique because of her appearance and her social status. Have you, or someone you know, ever pre-judged a person by what was on the outside without taking the time to first learn about the type of person they were on the inside?
2.
Mother Doreen picked up and relocated to Kentucky. She felt she was on an assignment from God. Although when first arriving in Kentucky she wasn't one hundred percent sure about her being there, claiming to have had a mere gut feeling about why God had planted her feet in Kentucky. Still she was obedient and waited on God to reveal her purpose to her. Have you ever just done something because God had ordered you to without knowing exactly why? Did God eventually reveal the purpose?
3.
Tamarra seems to be tested in the area of forgiveness over and over again. Why do you think this is so?
4.
Do you feel that the pastor of New Day Temple of Faith is too passive? That perhaps Pastor should have done something more about Lorain and Unique getting in to it at church besides appointing them to work together? Do you feel that Lorain should have just immediately been removed from her leadership position? How would you have handled the situation had you been in Pastor's shoes?
5.
Mother Doreen is known for her sweet, gentle, and kind spirit. She seems to become an entirely different person around Pastor Frey though, becoming snippy and sharp. Is there a person in your life who always seems to draw you out of character? What are ways you have dealt with that situation or person?
6.
Do you agree with the fact that even though some of the New Day Temple of Faith members fall short of the glory, Pastor still puts them in leadership positions? Why or why not?
7.
Although Sadie and Hudson never seemed to be directly involved in all the drama that was taking place around them, they were well aware of it. Do adults sometimes take for granted, or perhaps maybe are oblivious to the fact, that every closed eye ain't asleep? Do they realize children are watching them and their own actions could affect those of their children?
8.
Do you agree with how Pastor handled the meetings with Unique and Lorain when they had complaints against one another? Instead of meeting with them one on one, Pastor had the three of them meet together? Why or why not?
9.
Lorain was shocked that Unique had much biblical knowledge, could pray, and could speak in tongues. Were you? Had you pre-judged Unique as well? Is there anybody in real life you have done this to?
10.
What biblical story can you relate to Bethany and her husband's situation?
11.
Broady had been healed and delivered by God from the spirit of pedophilia. Do you have a hard time believing that God is powerful enough to do such a thing?
12.
Broady stated that by the church and the people in his life knowing of his past, they were able to “watch him” and hold him accountable for his actions. Do you have anyone in your life besides God who is there to hold you accountable for your actions?
13.
Do you think there are church leaders, such as Pastor Frey, who cover for the wrong doings of their pastors?
About the Author
E.N. Joy is the author of
Me, Myself and Him
, which was her debut work into the Christian Fiction genre. Formerly a secular author writing under the names Joylynn M. Jossel and JOY, she decided to fully dedicate her life to Christ, which meant she had to fully dedicate her work as well. She made a conscious decision that whatever she penned from that point on had to glorify God and His kingdom.
The
New Day Divas
series was incited by her publisher, Carl Weber, but birthed by the Holy Spirit. God used Mr. Weber to pitch the idea to E.N. Joy; sort of plant the seed in her spirit, of which she prayed on. Eventually the seed was watered and grew into a phenomenal five book series that she is sure will touch readers across the world.
“My goal and prayer with the
New Day Divas
series is to put an end to the Church Fiction versus Christian Fiction dilemma,” E.N. Joy states, “and find a divine medium that pleases both God and the readers.”
With book one,
She Who Finds A Husband
, launching the series, readers agreed that this project is one that definitely glorifies God in every aspect, but still manages to display in a godly manner that there are “Church Folks” (church fiction) and then there are “Christian Folk” (Christian fiction) and come Sunday morning, they all end up in the same place.
E.N. Joy currently resides in Reynoldsburg, Ohio where she is continuing work on the
New Day Divas
series, as well as working on the anthology series titled
Even Sinners Have Souls
.

Love, Honor or Stray

Now that Deborah has finally let go of the past that has haunted her for so many years, is she ready to grab a hold of love? The handsome Lynox Chase certainly hopes so, as he tries everything to win Deborah's heart. But even with believing in her heart that Lynox is the husband God has for her, there still seems to be something separating the two—or someone.
The ringing of the wedding bells between Paige and Blake can still be heard echoing, but will the roar of temptation rear its ugly head when Paige begins to find comfort in the least expected old friend?
Just when it appears as though Tamarra has gotten the victory over one trial, here comes an even bigger tribulation on its tail. Will trying to plan a wedding with Maeyl, while continuing to throw dirt on her biggest family secret yet, take her to the breaking point?
Love, Honor or Stray
is one of the most compelling books of the “New Day Divas” series yet.
