My breath was heavy on his skin. His fangs
rested on my shoulder, this time slightly piercing me. I gripped
him tightly to me and ran my hands over his wet body. The taste of
my blood caused him to quiver with anticipation.

Digging my nails into his skin once again, I
raked them over his back. I was sure the scratches drew blood.
Based on his reaction, I knew he enjoyed it. His eyes closed and
his head fell back. His movements were urgent and demanding. Once
again I moved my nails to his lower back and dragged them up. His
head snapped back up revealing fully extended fangs. He grabbed the
back of my hair and forced my head back, exposing my neck
fully.

Fear hit me and made my heart skip a beat.
Were all the calm sensations earlier a trick played on my mind? Was
this the end? Looking into his savage eyes I was sure I’d never see
the sun again. I waited for the strike and wondered how long it
would take him to drain me to the point of death. With almost
painful thrusts he moved into me over and over again. An
unrelenting momentum drove him to orgasm. His now warm body
shuddered as he found release. It felt amazing and was paired with
a low rumbling growl emanating from his chest.

His movements slowed. His lips rested on my
neck. He licked the two small wounds he’d made earlier. Slowly,
starting just below my ear, the vampire dragged his fangs over my
skin. I took a deep breath and held it. In one swift move, his
fangs sank deep into my neck. I felt the warm blood leave my body
and be sucked into his mouth. It was painful, but not the
throat-ripping ending I’d expected.

The vampire held me and drank. Softly he
stroked my hair, back and ribs.

Pulling his head away from my neck with a
final lick, he cupped my face in his hands and looked into my eyes.
The blue had become deeper, darker. I was mesmerized and completely
captivated.

Astonishment ran through me as I realized,
I
will not die at the hands of a monster.

Gently he stroked the side of my face,
smiled, and whispered, “My human.”
