Picking up the phone, Boss said, "What?"

"Your son and the woman have disappeared," Sergeant Hernandez said.

"What do you mean, 'disappeared'?" asked Boss.

"We found the vehicle they fled in, and then followed their footprints. But then they abruptly ended. It's like they boarded a blimp or hot air balloon."

"That's kind of an exotic getaway vehicle, isn't it?"

"Yes, sir. But it's the only plausible explanation as to why their tracks haven't been disturbed.

Transferring to another vehicle or camels would have left new tracks. A helicopter would have erased or eroded most of the tracks that I'm looking at right now.

I even had my men dig ten feet down in the sand dune to check for an underground bunker. Nothing, not a thing, they've disappeared.... What should I do next, sir?"

After sighing, Boss replied, "Not a damn thing. Those two deserve each other.... Get back here."

"Yes, sir," Hernandez said, then whistled and motioned for his men to move out.

Chapter 50

The desert zipped below the pimped out, Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter. Aboard it, King Jaheal Naheer sat by a window. He surveyed his kingdom with his eyes, as his mind tried to grasp the trouble he was in.

One of his sons had kidnapped the Duke of Winterfield's favorite pet. By some miraculous twist of fate, another of his sons had rescued Boss. (Boss, what a joke. The Western businessman had no right to that title. A king forced to call a commoner, 'Boss'. One day he would make the infidel eat his own name, but not today.)

Today, he had to smooth the situation over. NWO member or not, if the Duke wanted you dead, you got dead.... "What to do; what to do?" thought the king.

It was, as if, the answer had been sent to him from up above. Instantly, he knew how to solve this problem and all future problems with this ally of convenience. King Jaheal picked up a golden phone and called his prettiest wife, Sabihan.

"How may I serve you, my King?" asked Sabihan.

"Is my daughter, Khalisah, still breathtakingly beautiful? She hasn't turned hideous since she became an old maid at the age of eighteen, has she?"

"Oh, no, my king. Khalisah is the loveliest creature to walk upon this Earth. Her long, flowing black hair is silky and shines as the sun. She is obedient and highly intelligent. And her body has developed curves that would make the sexiest belly dancer green with envy."

"That is good to hear, Sabihan. I need for you to prepare her for marriage within the next few hours."

"As you will, so shall it be done, my King."

Jaheal had been keeping his prettiest daughter unmarried for just such an emergency. He had worried that she was far past her prime, and his best bargaining chip had lost its value. But in the West, eighteen years old was still considered young.

Khalisah would make Boss forget about this kidnapping incident. She would bind their families in marriage. She would bear him many children and forge a blood connection, which couldn't be easily broken. Boss's ass was grass.

As soon as Sabihan hung up the phone, she hurried to her daughter's room. Khalisah was sitting in front of a full-length mirror, being attended to by her two handmaidens. Nuriyah, a tall, young lady who had the looks of a model, was combing Khalisah's hair. Durrah, a medium height, slightly chubby girl, who had breasts so large that she gave up on wearing bras and instead tied them down when she needed to, was painting Khalisah's toenails.

"Khalisah, the time has come," said her mother, Sabihan.

"Really?" asked Khalisah, jumping to her feet. "Who is he? How old is he? Is he handsome?"

Smiling, Sabihan walked over to her lovely daughter, hugged her, and said, "I've never seen the man, but I'm sure he's rich and powerful. Your father, the King, was saving you for a great man."

"I will make a good wife, mother."

"There is no doubt, Khalisah," said Sabihan as she pulled away from the young woman standing before her. Turning to the Khalisah's handmaidens, Sabihan instructed them, "Bathe her in scented water, adorn her in her finest jewelry, and dress her in the sheerest fabrics we have. When her husband sees her for the first time, I want him to spill his seed before they even touch."

"Yes, ma'am," said the serving girls in unison.

"And clean yourselves up as best you can, too. You will be going with my daughter. If her new husband chooses to avail himself of your charms, you will not deny him. Understood?"

"Yes, ma'am," said the Nuriyah, enthusiastically.

Durrah, while looking down at the floor, mumbled, "Yes, ma'am."

"Oh, you're shy. Men go crazy for the shy ones. Careful, or you won't be able to walk right for a whole week after he takes you," Sabihan teased.

Durrah's mouth dropped open in shock. Then Nuriyah gave her a little shove and said, "Mistress is having a little fun with you."

"Chop to it," Sabihan said, clapping her hands together. "We don't know how long we have before the King returns with Khalisah's new husband."

Sleep wouldn't come. Boss lay on the sofa in discomfort. He wouldn't take any pain pills because he wanted to stay mentally sharp, just in case. This trip had been more than he'd bargained for, and he wanted it to be over with.

There wasn't any way to hide all the bullet pot marks chipped into the stonewalls, but Boss's men did their best to make the mansion look presentable. Sergeant Hernandez had asked what to do with all the bodies littering the mansion.

Boss instructed him to burn or bury them all, except for Prince Nalaheb. It was the King's decision whether his son would receive a decent burial or not.

Prince Abdul waited on the rooftop for King Jaheal's helicopter to land. The fact that the roof of the old oasis retreat could support a heavy Chinook, spoke volumes about its construction. Briefly, Boss wondered why his security team hadn't done likewise, instead of traversing the desert by land. But he was too tired to care.

Just as his eyes began to feel heavy, King Jaheal Naheer entered the room. Boss began to sit up, when King Jaheal rushed to his side, saying, "Do not rise on my account, friend."

"I'm fine," said Boss, groaning as he forced himself upright.

"I only have one question for you, Boss. Will you swear to me that my son, Abdul, saved you from another one of my sons, the vile traitor called, Nalaheb?"

"Yes."

King Jaheal embraced Boss and kissed him on both cheeks. He then ordered his guards standing on the far side of the room to fetch Prince Abdul.

While sitting next to Boss on the sofa, Jaheal noticed Boss wincing whenever he stirred and asked, "Why are you in pain, my friend? Did Nalaheb have you tortured?"

"Not exactly. But he did hire a tall, Russian chick to knock my junk around like she was in a ping-pong tournament.... Her name was Svetlana. Do you know her?"

A worried expression crept across the King's face, and he replied, "No, I've never heard of her. I had nothing to do with any of this. You must believe me!"

Boss wasn't sure if it was correct protocol or not, but he put his arm around the King and said, "I know you had nothing to do with this. I hold no ill will against you."

"Thank, you, my friend," said the King, as he bear hugged Boss. "I'm going to make this right. Just you wait and see."

"That's not necessary. No harm done."

"No harm done! My traitorous son practically emasculated you. If you were to lose your sexual prowess then you would no longer be a man.... Sure, you would still be more than a woman, but not by much."

"Uhm, OK, I haven't lost any of my sexual prowess. I may be a little sore and swollen, but rest assured, I'm still a man."

"That is great news, my friend," replied King Naheer, just as Prince Abdul entered the room. The King jumped up and literally ran to embrace his son.

"My son! My son! My number one, son."

"Thank, you, father. I'm honored."

"No, it is I who am honored," said the King, guiding Abdul towards Boss, who was still seated.

"You, Boss, have glorious sons. Emerald and Diamond will bring much honor to your name. And now, I too have a son worthy above all others."

"Congratulations, King Naheer. I'm happy for you," Boss said. A pain leapt from his right testicle up to his jaw. Boss didn't bother trying to hide the misery that he was in.

"Let's get you back to the palace," King Jaheal ordered. "I'll have my personal physician look you over. Then you will be my guest for supper. And tomorrow, I'll have you flown home on my personal airplane."

"That is a most gracious offer. Thank, you. Your Majesty."

Turning to one of his guards, the King commanded, "Go get more men. You will use this couch as a gurney and carry my friend to the helicopter."

"As you command, my King," responded the guard with a bow and hurried off.

Sergeant Leon Hernandez was nearby, eavesdropping. He took advantage of the break in conversation to sneak over.

Leon peeped over the back of the sofa and asked in a hushed tone, "Are we really going with them, Boss?"

"I am. You're not," replied Boss.

"Are you sure that's such a great idea? I mean, look what happened last time you went with these camel jockeys."

Sensing that the King had overhead him, Hernandez looked over at King Jaheal and said, "No offense, Your Majesty."

"None taken... pork and beans eater," retorted the King.

Boss grabbed Hernandez by the sleeve and pulled him closer. "Don't insult the King."

"I didn't mean to, Boss."

"We are uninvited guests in His Majesty’s country. If he wanted to, he could bring his entire army to bear down on our heads.

Do you think your men can fight against thousands of soldiers, in this climate, with only the weapons you have on hand?"

"No, sir."

"Then shut the fuck up."

The King was listening and laughed.

Boss said, "If your most generous offer is still open, I would gratefully accept."

A Sikorsky S-76 helicopter approached Tazirbu, Libya airport, escorted by two AH-64 Apache helicopters. The Sikorsky landed next to the control tower, while the Apaches stayed hovering in the air.

A short but shapely leg emerged from the rear of the helicopter. It belonged to Karen Sculley, who was dressed in sporty business attire. She wore a ruffled, white blouse under a navy-blue jacket, knee length skirt, and six-inch high-heels.

Major Elliot's man, who was guarding the entryway to the control tower, recognized Sculley and opened the door for her without saying a word. She begrudgingly gave him a thank you grunt as she headed for the stairs.

Major Elliot was feeling good about the mission and secure in his leadership role. He was reclining in a chair and had his feet up on a coffee table. He was pondering the best way to ask Boss for a puppet dictatorship over the country, when Karen entered the room.

The techs monitoring the drones looked up from their screens at the wildly out of place businesswoman standing before them. They turned to see what the Major had to say, but before he could utter a word. Karen ordered them to get out. They set the drones on autopilot and the hastily left the room.

"What are you doing here?" Elliot asked, getting to his feet.

"I'm doing my job. The question is what are you doing here?" Karen asked.

"I just finished conducting a successful rescue mission," Major Elliot said, as he let his hand rest on top of his holstered Colt .45. It reassured him. "Thanks to me, Boss is safe and sound."

"Thanks to you, he's in this forsaken desert in the first place," responded Karen, who kicked off her high-heeled shoes. The cool floor felt good under her pantyhosed feet.

"Look," said Elliot, defensively. He was beginning to perspire. He knew Sculley's reputation and feared the small woman. "He ordered me to step aside. He wanted to go with Prince Nalaheb. This was all his idea. I was just following orders."

"A lot of bad things happen when people blindly follow orders," Karen said, as she slowly approached Elliot. She held her hands away from her body with empty palms displayed, signaling that she was unarmed.

"I will defend myself!" Elliot said too loudly.

"Relax, Elliot. I'm unarmed and just a little girl. You, on the other hand, are a big man with a .45 pistol at your side and a Ka-Bar knife strapped to your left boot."

"I didn't have any choice. Boss is the boss. I can't tell the man what he can and cannot do."

"This is partly my fault," said Karen who was now so close to Elliot that her breasts were almost touching Elliot's upper abdomen. "I thought you were a man."

Before he could react, she had his pistol in her hand, dropped to the floor, snatched his knife from its sheath, and stabbed him in the right buttock on her way up. Elliot screamed and fell down, clutching his wounded ass.

"You, bitch!" he yelled.

"Flattery will get you nowhere," Karen said, towering over the huge man lying on the floor. "Your job wasn't to just protect Boss from other people. You, also, were supposed to protect him from himself."

"Ahhh! You bitch," squealed Major Elliot, trying to staunch his bleeding buttock.

"Yes, you already said that," responded Karen, as she made sure there was a bullet in the Colt .45's chamber. "Boss is a valuable asset to some very important people. His life is worth more than a thousand of yours and mine.

If he stumps his toe, you feel the pain. If he's hungry, you give him your last morsel of food. If he has blue balls, you suck him off.... Well, do you want to suck Boss off?"

"FUCK YOU!"

"Yeah, wrong answer," Karen said, lifting the gun, aiming at Elliot's forehead, then pulling the trigger.

Hearing the gunshot, the geeks cautiously returned to the control tower. They peeked inside of the room and saw Karen walking towards them.

"Sergeant Hernandez is now your acting commanding officer," said Karen Sculley as she walked past the techs. "Oh, Major Elliot committed suicide. He couldn't live with his failure. He stabbed himself in the ass then blew his brains out from six feet away."
