I guess, I’d be a princess, too! How fab is that?
Beyond fab.
Our wedding will happen after our babies are born. I don’t want to be cheated of my fairy tale. Nah-ah. It only happens once. I’m going to wear the most fabulous gown designed by Juancho and I’m going to walk the great hall of the Visconti palace in Monte Franco to meet my groom. The people of New York are all waiting for that day. They were all rooting for my happy ending.
“You want the truth though?”
I raise a brow. “Oh, you’re starting to lie to me now?”
He grins. “Just a bit.”
“Do tell.”
“I shaped your body with my hands, thinking you were already pregnant with my child. And I wasn’t off the mark.”
He stares at me so lovingly, all bloated me. I’m five months down, with his twins, to boot! I came back to the island with him seven months ago and a month later of daily action, I was preggers. Talk about having a much younger lover who cannot seem to get enough of me. But I cannot complain. I cannot even be afraid of the future anymore. I’m just grateful. Always grateful.
My doctor jokingly teased me that when she told me I needed to get pregnant ASAP, she didn’t mean I’d go on double time and make two babies at a time!
Raiden was especially alarmed that I conceived twins. He was worried about my health and for once since we got back together, I got peeved that he emphasized my age in his concerns with the doctor.
But the doctor assured us both that I’ll be fine. Well, with a husband that beats a mother hen in taking care of me, I should be more than fine.
“So, can we decide what to name them now?” he asks.
“Thunder and Lightning.”
He grimaces. “Please, be nice to my kids.”
I laugh.
“If it’s a boy and a girl, he will be named Thor for thunder and Thia for light. If they’re both boys, Thor and Zeus, from the gods of thunder and Thia and Selene from the goddesses of light.”
“Thor and Thia.” He smiles, nodding in approval. Sounds perfect.”
I caress my tummy and I actually feel my kiddos flutter in agreement.
“Why do you like thunder and lightning?” he asks.
I make sure he feels all my love for him in my next words. “Because they mean Raiden in Japanese.”
As for his love for me, I don’t doubt it anymore. I feel it in his every look, in his every smile. Like now.
His smile tells me I’m enough.
More than enough.
For life.
And even beyond.
Not
The End.
Just the beginning.

5 CONTROVERSIAL QUOTES FROM THE STYLE EMPRESS
On happiness:
It’s like a bottle of expensive perfume. Consume it before it expires.
Nothing lasts forever, least of all this flighty human luxury.
But then again, you can dream that
it will linger longer than it should.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
THE AUTHOR
Eve Montelibano is an Interior Designer and a hopeless romantic. That said, she couldn't be blamed for the amount of cheese and cream you'll find in her books. She loves to write about jaded, super alpha heroes and spunky, sassy heroines, and enjoys putting them in a lot of sticky, steamy, sweaty situations. Definitely not for the fainthearted.
Her favorite authors are Jackie Collins (modern fiction) and Robert Greene (Philosophy). Her major inspiration in romance writing are Brenda Joyce, Linda Howard, Sandra Brown, Judith McNaught, Susan Johnson, Penelope Williamson, to name a few.
